Centre for Development Innovation, biggest provider in short courses Wageningen UR Open subscription: 38 international courses of 2-3 weeks; 700+ participants 30.000+ alumni: 30+ courses in Wageningen also Distance Learning Tailor made courses (10+) Courses in projects (10+) Each course 1-3 weeks; 700+ participants
  • 3. CDI wants to run paperless courses Work paperless & improve possibilities communication Select device Select pilots Also reluctant trainers Pilot early 2013: 3 courses 75 happy participants
  • 4. Tablets substitutes paper and adds value Democratic tool Wikipedia & translate
  • 5. Technical infrastructure important Asus 10 inch +/- 200 euro and 15 euro to make it work NAS in WiFi very useful Apps and pre-installation and sleave stylus, etc 13 euro
  • 6. Summary for now  300 + participants with a tablet in 2013  75 euro deposit – participant can buy it for that price  2 returned after course, about 6 broken  People work with tablet within 2 days  A lot of work, but no regrets or negativism Educational innovation started: Mirjam: Expert Educational Technology at CDI
