Counterintuitively – especially for the data nerd! – optimizing for efficient utility can actually sometimes drive down some of the ”mobile engagement metrics” – notably time per session, while driving up others – notably sessions per user or percentage of repeat sessions.
Efficient utility and enhanced visibility are both ways of optimizing the in-app experience in ways intended to foster engagement with campus life.
All this is fantastic! But it still relies on the users proactively opening the app and pulling what they need out of it
That requires that they have discovered what the app has to offer and - at the moment of need – they remember to turn to our app to meet that need.
What if that’s not always the case?
