Abstract
The Main Motive of this research project is to aware about Management of Shah Abdul
Latif University Khairpur Mir‟s like What are reasons Behind the establishment of this
university I research on the aims and objectives of The university, administration of
university and role of Directorate of student‟s affair
There is no research paper before on this topic so it was very difficult task to
Collect the all data about Management of SALU. Mostly I collect the primary data as
well as secondary data

Introduction
As the Universityof Sindh with its solitary campus at Jamshoro could Not keep pace with
the growing need of Sindh province (sans Karachi) for higher Education,another
campus was set up at KhairpurMir‟sin 1974-1975, named after the National poet of
Sindh Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai.The campus was meant to provide Higher education
facilities in various modern and scientific fields to the people of Northern part of the
province of Sindh, which had rich tradition of producing highlyEducated and intelligent
persons. In 1986 the Sindh Provincial assembly passed an act Converting thecampus
into full-fledged and independent University The act came into Force in 1987, making
Shah Abdul LatifUniversity, functional. The present campus of the University covers an
area of 291 acres of lush green lawns, play grounds and trees.
The main campus of Shah Abdul Latif University is located near National highway and is
easily reachable by air, railway and bus services. The Sukkur Airport one of the busiest
airports of upper Sindh is one half an hour drive and Khairpur Railway station is
5kilometerws away from the main campus. The beauty of shah Abdul Latif University
lies in the fact that it is surrounded by famous archeological sites: Moen-jo-daro, kotdiji
fort, Rohri Hills, NaraDesert, religious shrines Sad Bella, Shrine of
HazratSachalSarmast, barrages and Bridges (Lloyds Barrage and Lands down and
Ayoub Bridge) and vibrant culture where People of the area are very friendly and
hospitable.
The University is on just three kilometers from Khairpur town. TheLandscapeof the
University includes three canals at a walking distance, which serves as excellent picnic
spots for the students and faculty. The university has over 7000
Students in various programs .There are 5000 undergraduate and 2000 graduate
Students About 70% of students are male and 30% female. Despite eight
Student/researcher s hostels (including three for girls) University has also provided
anArrangedtransport facility for student, and majority of them commute daily from their
Homes
Vision:
Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur is one of the prominent public sector
researches&teaching university. It intends to compete with the leading universities of
the world with global Perspective to impart quality education to all.Enabling the youth to
lead & serve the nation for their better well-being. Main initiative is “Youth
Empowerment”.
Mission
University offers undergraduate, graduate and research degrees in advanced teaching&
learning environment.

Scope of the Shah Abdul Latif University
Shah AbdulLatif university, Khairpur provides a unique opportunity to the
Students to study in the fields of the Natural science, Physical science, Social science &
Arts and Management scienceIt is the only University in upper sindh catering to
Academic needs in various disciplines Shah Abdul Latif University, khairpur is one of
the young and fast growing Universities of Pakistan It is staffed by around 200 well-
qualified faculty members Working in 24 departments. Most of the faculty members are
young and foreign Qualified. Teaching in SALU is very innovative. It is backed up by the
state of Art Audio Visual teaching tools to prepare student as per market demand and
skilled them to meet thechallenges of competitive market of the day. As a result, most of
the graduates, of SALU have secured professional and other jobs in public and private
sector. It‟s main Focus to train students in the field of Information Technology, Business
Administration, Social and Natural Science. It has got state-of-the-art computer laborites
and free Internet facility for both teachers and students which give them access to
unlimited Treasure of knowledge.
Objectives of Management in SALU
 In this dynamic age of Science & technology and Competitive business
environment, University provides opportunity for acquiring quality education and
develops among the learners competitive edge, gaining new knowledge and
insight into the fundamentals of natural sciences, social sciences and other
disciplines to understand the world and universe intrudecolors.
 Broadening perspectives and to gain a deeper understanding of organizational
life and the business, economic social, political, Philosophical, Art Marketing,
Technological, competitive environment which effects the universal environment.
 Aim of Admintration is to improve the managerial the capabilities of the students
by exceeding and developing their knowledge in business course, judgment and
strategic skill that will enable graduates to utilize their in the best manner.
 Selecting the candidates for admission to various disciplines of education purely
on merit after conducting Entry test.
 Providing peaceful and congenial educational atmosphere without any break or
disturbance in the morning and evening hours for service of intellectuals,
Scientists, professional‟s academicians and researchers.
 Arrangements of local and foreign qualified faculty (members) for quality
education, creating opportunity of foreign scholarships, training and development
facilities foe teachers for strengthening their education and skills.
 A variety of modern teaching methods are used for the development of students
skill and efficiency in the form of lectures by teachers with full participation of the
students, report writing research work techniques ;case studies, lectures/project
work, with the use of equipment ; group discussions; foreign professors „lectures
through video films of various fields of science and social science; Arranging
video conference the local or foreign experts of the various fields with visits and
attending lecture programs at local industries by arranging field study trips to
industries throughout Pakistan.
 Modern teaching aids are used in the class such as overhead projectors,
Multimedia projectors, video projection, teaching aids are used for the effective
communication between teachers and students in the class.
 In teaching process the emphasis is given on the use of coaching and laboratory
work. It involves active class participation for testing and challenging ideas. Such
teaching activity in a week is backed by one hour of tutorials or practice session.
 Development and innovation of scientific labs, computer labs, and installation of
latest equipment in the laboratories for practice of the student and researchers.
 Taking endeavors for the development quality infrastructure for the students,
faculty and supporting staff by providing classrooms, furniture, lecture halls well
equipped laboratories, sports complexes, playground, hostels, transport and
accommodation etc.
 Establishment of information system for quick academic & administrative
information student, faculty, administration & the public.
 To provide higher education, by establishing important academic departments on
the campus to impart education in various fields of Science, Arts & Commerce.
 To evise, design and develop new technologies suited to different and varied
needs of the community and the nation.
 To further accelerate the tempo of higher education at university level in Upper
Sindh comprising major parts of Arid Zone.
 To generate and update education capabilities of younger generation, promoting
teaching/research methods in the University.
 To strengthen educational consultancy and advisory service of Shah Abdul Latif
University order to improve the socio-economic condition in the region.

These peoples are the main pillar of the University; they handle all the activities
which occur within the University.
Directorate of Student Affairs
The student Affairs Section is functioning since July 1990. The section was run by
Student Advisor in its early days. Later on, Director of Student Affairs had taken Charge
of the Section. Now a days devoted team of Officers and staff working hard for the
welfare of students in the university.
The section of student affairs is working to guide the student for their day to day
problems, career counseling, extra-curricular activities, entertainment, student
programs, debate competition, awareness programs etc. this section also facilities
students for their visits to all over the country and abroad as well. The section also
responsible to look after the law & order situation in the campus
Research Questions
 How to works the admiration in the SALU?
 What are the rules and regulation apply by administration?
Conclusion
After this research project “The Management of Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur
Mir‟s” I found that there is so many problems in the management of SALU like a lot of
Mismanagement the SALU has Goods policies but less or no implementation on
polices rules and regulation so that‟s why this university has low rank as compare to
others universities

Introduction As the Universityof Sindh with its solitary campus at Jamshoro could Not keep pace with the growing need of Sindh province (sans Karachi) for higher Education,another campus was set up at KhairpurMir‟sin 1974-1975, named after the National poet of Sindh Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai.The campus was meant to provide Higher education facilities in various modern and scientific fields to the people of Northern part of the province of Sindh, which had rich tradition of producing highlyEducated and intelligent persons. In 1986 the Sindh Provincial assembly passed an act Converting thecampus into full-fledged and independent University The act came into Force in 1987, making Shah Abdul LatifUniversity, functional. The present campus of the University covers an area of 291 acres of lush green lawns, play grounds and trees. The main campus of Shah Abdul Latif University is located near National highway and is easily reachable by air, railway and bus services. The Sukkur Airport one of the busiest airports of upper Sindh is one half an hour drive and Khairpur Railway station is 5kilometerws away from the main campus. The beauty of shah Abdul Latif University lies in the fact that it is surrounded by famous archeological sites: Moen-jo-daro, kotdiji fort, Rohri Hills, NaraDesert, religious shrines Sad Bella, Shrine of HazratSachalSarmast, barrages and Bridges (Lloyds Barrage and Lands down and Ayoub Bridge) and vibrant culture where People of the area are very friendly and hospitable.
  • 7. The University is on just three kilometers from Khairpur town. TheLandscapeof the University includes three canals at a walking distance, which serves as excellent picnic spots for the students and faculty. The university has over 7000 Students in various programs .There are 5000 undergraduate and 2000 graduate Students About 70% of students are male and 30% female. Despite eight Student/researcher s hostels (including three for girls) University has also provided anArrangedtransport facility for student, and majority of them commute daily from their Homes Vision: Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur is one of the prominent public sector researches&teaching university. It intends to compete with the leading universities of the world with global Perspective to impart quality education to all.Enabling the youth to lead & serve the nation for their better well-being. Main initiative is “Youth Empowerment”. Mission University offers undergraduate, graduate and research degrees in advanced teaching& learning environment.  Take efforts to make teaching & research linked to socio-economic Development of the Country  Prepare the next generations skilled and ethical professionals by providing excellent graduate and professional education that graduates to compete in a diverse world market;

Scope of the Shah Abdul Latif University Shah AbdulLatif university, Khairpur provides a unique opportunity to the Students to study in the fields of the Natural science, Physical science, Social science & Arts and Management scienceIt is the only University in upper sindh catering to Academic needs in various disciplines Shah Abdul Latif University, khairpur is one of the young and fast growing Universities of Pakistan It is staffed by around 200 well- qualified faculty members Working in 24 departments. Most of the faculty members are young and foreign Qualified. Teaching in SALU is very innovative. It is backed up by the state of Art Audio Visual teaching tools to prepare student as per market demand and skilled them to meet thechallenges of competitive market of the day. As a result, most of the graduates, of SALU have secured professional and other jobs in public and private

It has got state-of-the-art computer laborites and free Internet facility for both teachers and students which give them access to unlimited Treasure of knowledge. Objectives of Management in SALU  In this dynamic age of Science & technology and Competitive business environment, University provides opportunity for acquiring quality education and develops among the learners competitive edge, gaining new knowledge and insight into the fundamentals of natural sciences, social sciences and other disciplines to understand the world and universe intrudecolors.  Broadening perspectives and to gain a deeper understanding of organizational life and the business, economic social, political, Philosophical, Art Marketing, Technological, competitive environment which effects the universal environment.  Aim of Admintration is to improve the managerial the capabilities of the students by exceeding and developing their knowledge in business course, judgment and strategic skill that will enable graduates to utilize their in the best manner.  Selecting the candidates for admission to various disciplines of education purely on merit after conducting Entry test.  Providing peaceful and congenial educational atmosphere without any break or disturbance in the morning and evening hours for service of intellectuals, Scientists, professional‟s academicians and researchers.
  • 10.  Arrangements of local and foreign qualified faculty (members) for quality education, creating opportunity of foreign scholarships, training and development facilities foe teachers for strengthening their education and skills.  A variety of modern teaching methods are used for the development of students skill and efficiency in the form of lectures by teachers with full participation of the students, report writing research work techniques ;case studies, lectures/project work, with the use of equipment ; group discussions; foreign professors „lectures through video films of various fields of science and social science; Arranging video conference the local or foreign experts of the various fields with visits and attending lecture programs at local industries by arranging field study trips to industries throughout Pakistan.  Modern teaching aids are used in the class such as overhead projectors, Multimedia projectors, video projection, teaching aids are used for the effective communication between teachers and students in the class.  In teaching process the emphasis is given on the use of coaching and laboratory work. It involves active class participation for testing and challenging ideas. Such teaching activity in a week is backed by one hour of tutorials or practice session.  Development and innovation of scientific labs, computer labs, and installation of latest equipment in the laboratories for practice of the student and researchers.  Taking endeavors for the development quality infrastructure for the students, faculty and supporting staff by providing classrooms, furniture, lecture halls well
  • 11. equipped laboratories, sports complexes, playground, hostels, transport and accommodation etc.  Establishment of information system for quick academic & administrative information student, faculty, administration & the public.  To provide higher education, by establishing important academic departments on the campus to impart education in various fields of Science, Arts & Commerce.  To evise, design and develop new technologies suited to different and varied needs of the community and the nation.  To further accelerate the tempo of higher education at university level in Upper Sindh comprising major parts of Arid Zone.  To generate and update education capabilities of younger generation, promoting teaching/research methods in the University.  To strengthen educational consultancy and advisory service of Shah Abdul Latif University order to improve the socio-economic condition in the region.   • 12.  Director Admission  Librarian These peoples are the main pillar of the University; they handle all the activities which occur within the University. Directorate of Student Affairs The student Affairs Section is functioning since July 1990. The section was run by Student Advisor in its early days. Later on, Director of Student Affairs had taken Charge of the Section. Now a days devoted team of Officers and staff working hard for the welfare of students in the university. The section of student affairs is working to guide the student for their day to day problems, career counseling, extra-curricular activities, entertainment, student programs, debate competition, awareness programs etc. this section also facilities students for their visits to all over the country and abroad as well. The section also responsible to look after the law & order situation in the campus Research Questions  How to works the admiration in the SALU?  What are the rules and regulation apply by administration?

Conclusion After this research project “The Management of Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur Mir‟s” I found that there is so many problems in the management of SALU like a lot of Mismanagement the SALU has Goods policies but less or no implementation on polices rules and regulation so that‟s why this university has low rank as compare to others universities
