Brave Boy Found Alive After Two Days at Sea
Feeling no fear, a five-year-old boy spent two days floating at sea on a mattress in a
bid to survive from the effects of the tsunami that killed thousands of people from his
town and was reunited with his family on Thursday.
He cried as he rushed to his parents, older brother and younger sister at a refugee
camp in Meulaboh, his hometown of 40,000 people in Aceh that was one of the hardest
hit in Sunday’s disaster.
Wira later calmly recounted to reporters the amazing events that brought him
back to his family, a rare tale of happiness in the devastated province on the island of
Sumatra that has seen nearly 80,000 people killed by the flooding.
Nursing only a gash to his left leg, Wira said he was playing with his brother and
sister near his home when the waters rushed through.
According to Antara news agency, Wira said he held on to various floating pieces
of wood while being swept away.
Wira said he wasn’t afraid floating on the sea. He was still holding to the door
until he saw the mattress came and he decided to climb on it.

3. He added that he spent two days out at sea until he was found by fisherman on the
look out for bodies off coast of Meulaboh.

Pregnant singer Audy loses 3 kg
Singer Audy Item is worried as she had lost 3 kilograms during the first trimester of her
pregnancy.
She said that her first trimester had been awful. She had severe nausea, headache, fever, cold and
she could not eat well so she lost 3 kilograms.
The wife of actor Iko Uwais said she also felt lazy and became very sensitive.
“I used to be a very neat person, but now, Iko is more diligent than I am,” said Audy who
accompanied Iko while he filming The Raid 2 in Bandung, West Java.
Iko took her to the set because he was worried about her condition.
To ensure a healty pregnancy, Audy will not be performing on stage for a while.
She hoped that she will be fine when the pregnancy has reached four months.

Coboy Junior to hold tour in 30 cities
Teenybopper vocal group Coboy Junior will conduct a tour of 30 cities in Indonesia from April to
the end of the year.
Concert for the CJR Generation Tour 2013—which will be held on venues from Sabang to
Merauke, or from one end of the archipelago to the other—will only takes place on weekends, as the
members of the group are still in school.
The Manager, Roy Manella said that they were still in junior high school, so they could only
work on Saturday and Sunday. They also sometimes have rehearsal after school and other job, but concert
can only take place on weekends.
The band’s producer’s Patrick Effendy said the lads’ concerts would be worth waiting for. The
ticket price are expected to run from Rp 100,.000 to Rp 750,000.

Police investigate coin-throwing at Lampard
London’s Metropolitan Police are investigating missile throwing by West Ham United supporters
towards their former player Frank Lampard after the Chelsea midfielder score in the 2-0 Premier League
win on Sunday.
“we are investigating instances of coin-throwing at Chelsea versus West Ham. There have been
no arrests. Inquiries continue,” said a Met police spokesman on Monday.
Lampard, who joined Chelsea from West Ham in 2001, headed in the game’s opener after 19
minutes at Stanford Bridge and the goal was greeted with abuse from the nearby away fans who threw
coins and hot dogs.

IOC begins inspection of Madrid’s 2020 plans
Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy has told IOC inspectors that much of the infrastructure
needed for Madrid’s bid to host the 2020 Olympics is already built and the city has an excellent transport
system.
The IOC’s evaluation commissions began a fout-day inspection of Madrid’s bid on Monday.
Madrid is competing against Tokyo and Istambul.
Rajoy said “80 percent of the sports facilities needed to hold an Olympic Games are already
built.”
He says the city is accustomed to hosting major events and Spain welcomes 58 million tourist
each year.
The capital’s transport system is expected to suffer partial strikes on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Three demonstrations are also planned to coincide with the IOC visit.
The panel has already visited Tokyo and will travel to Istanbul next week. The IOC will select the
host city on September 7.

Brimob officer seeks justice for wife
Member of the National Police Mobile Brigade (brimob) on Kelapa Dua, Depok, visited Depok
Police headquarters on Monday to urge for the completion of an investigation into the alleged assault of
the wife of First Brig. Mukhtar by an Iranian on December 4th
.
Mukhtar told reporters that the case had been stagnant since then.
According to the police report, Iranian Uresh Khurman was driving his car backward and failed to
notice Mukhtar’s wife, Ermawati, who was driving a motorcycle right behind the car. The car hit the
motorcycle and Ernawati punched the body of the car. Uresh allegedly hit her back the back side of his
hand.
Spokeman Comr. Bagus Suwardi said that investigator had questioned the suspect but the latter
could not speak in Indonesia. He said that they were still finding a translator.

Mount Tangkuban Parahu reopened to public
Volcanology and Geological Disaster Mitigation Center (PVMBG) head Surono said on Monday
that Mount Tangkuban Parahu, which has been closed to the public since the middle of February, had
reopened as volcanic activity had decreased.
Surono said that its satus had been lowered to normal or level from waspada (caution) or level 2
as of 4.30 p.m. local time that day. The PVMBG raised the alert status of Mt. tangkuban Parahu from
normal to caution on February 21st
.
He said human activities within a radius of 1.5 kilometers were now allowed due to decreased
volcanic activity. He confirmed that visitors were still not allowed to go to the Ratu and Upas crates.

KPK will not summon Ibas, yet
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) says it has no plan to summon Edhie “Ibas”
Baskoro Yudhoyono for questioning in relation to a graft case.
KPK spokesman Johan Budi said it was not urgent that Ibas be questioned at this time.
He said that Yulianis had given similar information to investigators. He confirmed that they will
verify it but they had no plan to summon Ibas yet.
At a hearing last week at Jakarta Corruption Court on the graft case surrounding the procurement
of laboratory equipment for several universities, Yulianis said the Permai group had wired Ibas
US$200,000, money that allegedly came from funds for the Hambalang project.
The money was reportedly used to finance the Democratic Party congress in Bandung in 2010, at
which Anas Urbaningrum was elected chairman.
Yulianis said tha records about the money transfer had been saved on her personal computer and
laptop, both of which had been confiscated by the KPK.
Ibas has denied the accusation, saying he did not know Yulianis and that the allegation was an
attempt to tarnish his reputation.
