3. Rotaract originally began as a Rotary International youth program in
1968 at Charlotte North Rotary Club in North Carolina, United States.
Presently there are over 9,522 clubs spread around the world with
approximately 291,006 members.
Rotaract clubs are self-governing and self-supporting and can be either
university- or community-based.
Individual Rotary clubs sponsor Rotaract clubs and offer guidance and
support, making the Rotaract clubs true “partners in service” and key
members of the family of Rotary.

4. To be eligible for being a member, prospective members
must be 18–30 years of age.
After being approved by the university based or community
based club, prospective members are 'inducted‘ and
become members, also known as 'Rotaractors'.
WHO ARE THE MEMBERS?
5. A Club’s success is foreseen with the increase in the Number of
members each year.
Each Individual representation and Ideas being shared is quite
important for the success of a club.
Retention of the best members with the traits suitable for the
organization is essential for the growth of the club, and as well as
for the organization in whole.
The achievements for an organization are the results of the
combined efforts of individuals.

Delegating work to the members according to the capability and
talent considering the interest they poses, and it should not burden
them up with responsibilities either, is very important.
Delegating of responsibility brings trust and belief among the
members towards the club.
Boosts morale.
This Improves the confidence level and builds trust.

Appreciating the members by recognizing and rewarding at major events
inculcates interest
Improves the efficiency of the Members
Encourages member to perform better and imparts participation

9. RECREATE CAREER DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES
As the prospective members are under the age group of 18-30, the age
where making of career plays the ultimate role.
Certain major objectives such as

and so on, there are certain Dilemmatic situation, where experts
advice is essential.
Long term Activities supporting for building the career will obviously
attract the members resulting to sustaining of members.

10. RECIPROCATE TO THE MEMBERS
“Respond in Kind”
Have Regular meet up with members
Have Transparency over the club proceedings, that improves goodwill and
trust
Have events which strengthens the bond between the club and members.
Conduct events which includes the family of the members, as in many
cases due to lack of support from the family the members fail to continue
the Membership.
Respond to the members in a correct way, making them realize their worth
and importance in the happening of the club.

11. RESTORE CLUB GOALS
In many cases the members lose interest due to dissatisfaction from the
performance of the club they are from.
In order to overcome this issue, at regular intervals the Goals of the club
to be crosschecked
Incase of any deviation , that has to be analyzed and plan has to be
restored immediately with consideration of the members. This improves
the Interest of the members and their retention.
