5. Who is the technology Leader in this
presentation?
Works in a K-12 educational institution that includes grades 6-12 with 150
middle school students and 450 high school students.
14 years of K-12 educational experience in Shelby County Schools System.
Which is one of the largest school districts in Tennessee.
Experience includes the role of: teacher, counselor, graduation coordinator,
and now, technology coordinator.
Technology coordinator role for 2 years at current institution.

for users.

District Office assists with networking issues beyond the scope of the
educational leader.
Financially supported by the School Board of Educators.
Technology mentoring is included in the new teacher orientation program.
It helps the educators as well as the technology leader.

“I enjoy facilitating the training sessions. It’s always fun to see teachers
experience a new way of helping students learn. The most stressful part is
when technological issues occur in the middle of the lesson and teachers panic
because the issue isn’t able to be corrected immediately.”
“If I could restructure my duties and responsibilities, I would do this full time
rather than having dual roles at my school.”
