• 2014 cinema admissions (157.5m) was down
by 5% from 2013 and is the lowest since 2006.
• In 2014 712 films (an average of 14 per week)
were released for a week or more
• The top 100 films (14%) took just over 90% of
the box office.
• The remaining 612 film shared the remaining

2013) – 7% of the total number of films
released.
