COURSE DESCRIPTION
 Educatinal Research Methodology course provides theoretical
background knowledge of Research in English Language
Teaching (ELT) which entails Writing ELT Research Plan and
ELT Research Plan Presentation
 The course consists of
○ Introduction to the Subject
○ Introduction to Research
○ Research Methods in Education
○ Action Research
○ Literature review, ethics, and methodology
○ Writing action research proposals, reports
○ Data analysis techniques in the action research process
GOAL AND SIGNIFICANCE OF THE SUBJECT
 Goal
 The students are expected to have theoretical
background knowledge of Educational Research
Methodology
 The students are expected to be able to write a
research proposal dealing with research in English
language teaching.
 The students are expected be able to present their
research proposal in English Language teaching.
 Significance
 The course is expected to be useful for providing
theoretical and practical knowledge and experience to
students in English language teaching research.
