Domestic violence takes many forms including physical, sexual, emotional, economic and social abuse. Physical abuse ranges from pinching and scratching to kicking, beating and strangulation. Sexual abuse includes rape and forcing degrading acts. Emotional abuse involves intimidation, threats and controlling behavior. Economic abuse is controlling all financial matters. Victims can survive and escape domestic violence situations.
