This document provides instructions for vapor nano-coating copper shapes using an egg cooker. The steps involve: 1. Preparing the egg cooker by removing parts and lining the bottom with hardware cloth. 2. Cutting short lengths of copper pipe to use as shapes. 3. Wearing protective equipment, pouring lye onto the egg cooker bottom to coat it, then adding water without raising the level above the hardware cloth. 4. Arranging the copper pipes upright in the center and running steam cycles with the egg cooker lid on to coat the pipes with vapor before allowing drying periods.

2. .1 Gather supplies

3. This is the egg cooker used in this
process (source: walmart)

4. .2 remove the plastic egg holder tray and
instructions from the egg cooker

5. Hardware cloth is a fence material
(source: Home depot, etc)

6. .3 Spread the hardware cloth over
the inner surface of the cooker

7. .4 Cut Hardware cloth into a shape that
fits into the inner ledge
of the egg cooker

8. .5 Trim the hardware cloth shape to
allow the lid to close securely

9. .6 Set your cooker into a plastic tote
box. This will contain any accidental
mess.

10. These types of tube cutters will make this
easy. A smaller cutter will also work fine for
cutting ¾ inch pipe (source: Home Depot
Hardware, etc)

13. .7 Use the cutter to cut a 2 inch
length of pipe

14. .8 Repeat for several pipes

15. .9 Put on your safety gloves, respirator,
and goggles. Open Ventilation
if you are inside

16. .10 Remove lid to egg cooker and begin
pouring lye on the unplugged egg
cooker surface

17. .11 Pour enough lye to evenly coat
the bottom of the egg cooker

18. 12. Carefully pour distilled water
onto the lye

19. 13. Make sure the water level does
Not raise above the hardware cloth

20. .14 Carefully arrange your copper
pipes upright in the center

21. .15 Set the lid on. Make sure the lid
can fit securely onto the cooker

22. .16 Plug in the egg cooker

23. .17 Press the on button while
holding the cooker in place with the
other hand

24. .18 remove both hands. The Cooker will begin to
heat up and create caustic vapor which will coat
the pipes and exit out of the steam hole

Wait a few minutes

28. .21 Again press the cook button
while carefully holding the lid handle
with the other hand

shut off

on the tote box

33. .26 Wait 1 hour and remove
tote box lid

34. .27 Remove cooker lid and inspect
pipes to verify they are nanocoating

on the cooker

steam cycle

38. .31 Place the lid loosely on the tote
box. Unplug the cooker.

40. .33 Wait 24 hours

41. .34 Remove lid from tote box

42. .35 Remove Lid from Egg cooker

43. .36 Add additional water to bring
liquid up to previous level
