What My Writing Means To Me
Writing is my thing, and I can't help but do it every day! To me, it's a talent, it comes as an urgent
call of nature that must be appeased. I have been writing since 2012, which means, we are talking
of more than four years of content creation. I base my writing solidly on research and facts. I
understand that the key reason for online writing is to engage readers and softly provoke them to take
the intended action.
For over the years, I've enjoyed great success in writing articles, blog posts, web content and
product reviews. I have also seen clients send me tips for the satisfactory projects I handled for them.
I understand that the turnaround time is one of the most essential aspects of the writing process and
therefore I ensure on–time

Personal Narrative: My Essay For Me
My essay for assignment 5 was the most memorable essay for me to write. When I first looked at
this assignment, I was nervous about writing a letter from my grandfather to myself. I did not
know what he would say to me since I didn't talk to him much during his last days. Instead of
writing out a whole letter, I decided to just write parts of a letter and analyze each part as I wrote.
I felt that this was a better strategy for me because it allowed me to compare my feelings to those
that I thought my grandfather would feel. The letter from my grandfather discussed the reasons why
he felt he had to hide his leukemia from me. My grandfather talked about wanting to remain strong
for the family; he did not want the rest of the family to...show more content...
At the end of my essay, Jeff informed me that this essay was the best essay I had written in this
class. He called it a masterpiece. I started tearing up in class on Monday when I read these words. I
had never viewed myself as a good writer when writing about personal topics. For Jeff to say such
nice things about my grandfather proved to me that I am capable of self–disclosure. The comments
affected me tremendously; Jeff's assurances of my writing in my essay are what motivated me to
write this assignment. Originally I was going to keep this essay a secret from my parents, but I
eventually told my father about this essay. He cried when I read it to him. My paternal
grandfather was the one who had died, and his death was extremely hard on my father. My father
told me that he was haunted by questions similar to my own. My father feels lost without my
grandfather. I cannot imagine what it must be like to lose a parent, even though death is
inevitable. When my father heard my essay, he told me that he felt comforted by the fact that I
expressed deep love and support for my grandfather. He assured me that my grandfather wanted
me to remember him as healthy. Writing this essay has brought me closer to understanding not
only myself, but also my relationship with my father. I understand what it takes to be strong
when life is tough. I understand that it is okay to feel anger and guilt when a loved one dies. I
understand that a family can act as a support system, but it is also okay to grieve alone. I used to
want to be left alone right after my grandfather died. I needed space to think and cry. This essay
acted as my gateway to breaking down the walls I had constructed and allowing my family back
in. This essay allowed me to share my emotions with my father, and in doing so, I was able to help
both him and myself

Why Is Writing Important To Me Essay
To me, Writing has always been a great way to express my ideas, and remember past events. I like
all types of writing. Some of my favorites include narratives, and persuasive writing. I enjoy writing
narratives because they give me a freedom to voice my ideas in words, and allowing me to be
creative. I also like persuasive writing because the writing just seems fun to me, and I also like
persuading people. The most difficult type of writing would have to be narrative writing. Even
though it is one of my favorites, it is still very challenging. Narrative writing requires you to create
a story and make sure it all fits. When it is fictional, you must use a lot of creativity, and when it is
non–fiction, you must be able to research the facts to

My Experience as a Writer
My Experience as a Writer
It all started when I was just a little kid. I began learning how to speak and use our language. I
watched learning videos teaching me how to talk properly and use different words. Once I reached
first grade, we began writing very simple sentences and learning the basics of writing. By the time I
reached Elementary school, we learned about the sentence structure and we began making more
complex sentences. We also started writing paragraphs and short essays. When I reached Middle
school, we began writing longer essays and we learned how to write in more detail. We started
learning more advanced vocabulary and different styles of writing. We learned mostly about fiction,
non–fiction, and persuasive essays. In my...show more content...
When I was eleven years old, I was asked to be interviewed on camera about golf. I was very nervous
and I honestly did not want to do it. I did the interview anyway and it was a very embarrassing
experience for me. The interviewer told me to answer in complete sentences because the
audience wouldn't hear him ask the question. He asked me the first question, "Why do you like to
play golf?" I simply replied with, "It's mostly fun." Thankfully it wasn't a live interview so I got a
second chance. The second time, I answered in complete sentences and gave much better answers.
On my birthday last week, my brothers came down from North Carolina to visit me and my
family. My dad showed everyone the DVD that my interview was on. My family thought that I
did a good job with the interview but I didn't agree. My brothers were giving me a hard time about
what I said in the first take of the interview. The whole weekend they were repeating, "It's mostly
fun." This was very embarrassing for me but I have learned a lot from this experience. I have
learned how to write better and be more comfortable around cameras. I have written many
non–fiction essays, and I really enjoy writing them. Persuasion is one of my favorite types of
non–fiction writing. I have written persuasive essays throughout middle school and high school.
When I was in middle school, I wrote letters to the principle trying to convince him to change certain
things about our school to make it better. For example, I

My Writing Style
Kim,
Thank you for allowing me to read your paper. This is a great start to a well written final product.
What do you like about the writing?
I enjoyed reading your paper. You have a writing style that invites the reader to fully engage your
argument. You presented a clear, logical presentation of course material combined with personal
insights and experiences that were well suited for your paper. It was a thorough and thoughtful
presentation of the material. Well done.
How is the writing objective (not overly subjective) communicating ideas with clarity?
You provided a nice balance of objectivity and subjectivity as your cited ample evidence for your
argumentation and interweaved personal reflections and anecdotes into the paper. Your did an
excellent job in using the breadth and depth of texts that were used in our classes, which made for
a well rounded paper. Apart from a few areas of your paper which may need to be reworded and
fine tuned, I would suggest defining a few of the terms that are used in your paper, to make their
meaning more clear to your reader (Weltanschauung, meaning perspective, distorted assumptions
etc.). These are noted in my comments on your paper....show more content...
Your writing provided an orderly and structured approach to the presentation of your argument. I
appreciated your use of citations to support your ideas, which helped the reader understand the
connection between leadership and inquiry. There were a number of instances in which you provide
overt transitions from one paragraph to another which promoted a pattern of thought that was easily
digestible. I would offer the suggestion to use section headings in the paper that correspond to your
key points. Occasionally, I was left wondering which section you were focusing on, even though it
was well

Essay About Myself
There are three very important aspects that play a major rule in my life. They can be categorized as
intellectual, social, and spiritual. My intellectual self is interesting because I am mainly
right–brained which means that I tend to use my creativity more than my mathematical skills, also
making me a visual learner. My social self consists of friends, family, and my surroundings. I spend
most of my time at home with my family. Whenever I am with my friends, I observe their behaviors
and listen to their opinions. I am more of an independent type of person. Being with different people
has influenced me into appreciating different cultures and beliefs. I have learned things that have
now been incorporated into my own set of beliefs and...show more content...
I find that I can only recall long–term memories if they are important to me, or if they are dramatic
experiences. A few examples of my childhood memories are my mother reading to me, my
grandfather playing his guitar, and my dad relentlessly teaching me how to ice skate, no matter
how many times I fell. The people who affect my social life the most are my family and friends. I
have an extremely close family that has played a major role in my life. They are whom I spend
most of my spare time with. My family usually gathers every weekend for dinner. I am also very
open to different religions, cultures, and practices because I know many people with different
backgrounds and beliefs. Since I've been influenced by various people, I've learned at a very
young age to never judge people by how they look, dress, feel, or act. I am very fortunate to have
learned these lessons, because many people still do not understand the importance of accepting
differences. In a group, I prefer to listen to what others have to say, and then contribute to the
discussion. I try to listen so I am able to compare them to my own thoughts. I enjoy working in a
group, because it gives everyone an opportunity to incorporate their own ideas. My social self is
most greatly influenced by my family and friends. I believe that my spiritual self is the most
important out of the three. Although I have a certain religion that I belong to and practice, I believe

CT interpret effective leadership as affected by situational variables, including the followers, work
environment and tasks, and the external environment (Daft, 2005, p.111). CT includes Fiedler's
proposal of predominance and interaction between relationship or taskoriented leadership styles, as
well as Hersey and Blanchard's focus on the characteristics of followers as producing favorable or
unfavorable results, followed by the path–goal theory, Vroom Jago model, and
substitutes–for–leadership approaches. If the leader understands how to properly interrelate with
situational variables, the possibilities for success would be maximized. Influence Theories Leaders
are challenged to persuade followers effectively integrating power and influence. Followers should
be motivated, shaped and guided through Charismatic Leadership, "influence based...on the qualities
and personality of the leader." (Daft, 2005, p.24). Bolman and Terrence (1991) identify four Leader
worldviews that influence this approach: Structural, Human Resources, Political and Symbolic

What Does Writing Mean To Me Essay
As a young girl, I was an avid reader who hated writing. I viewed writing as a chore which only
involved checking for grammatical errors, and I couldn't understand why anyone would seriously
enjoy writing. I would stay up all night to try to hurry and finish stacks of library books. I once
came very close to the checkout limit at my local library, which is 20, and I checked out 18. I spent
many summers reading, which I found much more enjoyable than being outside in scorching weather.
My memories of learning how to read are likely much different than those of others. I am unsure of
how exactly it came to be that I could read. I remember being three and reading short children's
books, manuals, instruction labels...basically anything I could pick up, a...show more content...
It greatly discouraged me from wanting to read, because I would often ask myself what the point of
it was if I couldn't pronounce the words correctly, despite knowing their meanings.
Writing was a whole different world to me, and I was horrible at it. I hated writing anything, and
because of how specific the assignments were, I felt like there wasn't room to express myself in
those essays. I would have been happy if I could have offered even a small glimpse of the person
behind those words.
Despite my unpleasant attitude towards writing, which didn't change for years, I was raised with
the importance of literacy, and I realized how important it would be to improve my writing skills.
I have always loved to read, and I grew up on books. My parents read to me and encouraged me to
read, something that has probably made my love for reading ingrained. They even encouraged me
to read novels that were deemed "inappropriate" by a very religious homeschool curriculum that I
used, and those novels made me love reading even more than I

My Writing Experience
Reading and writing has always created a sense of understanding for me in my art. Reading in the
literal sense is a way that we understand text or symbols in our minds which in turn create meaning.
Writing also in a literal sense is our way of communicating our knowledge and emotions to others
through symbols in text. The human experience for all people includes communication and through
reading and writing this experience is created. From the beginning of this course, my only prior
experience with reading and writing were high school level course over literature and reading. I had
an average level of rhetoric, reading, writing and language overall however, understanding the
significance of these subjects was never put forth in such a way until I took this course. I discovered
through this course that reading is a combination of not only our "visual information" but also our
"nonvisual information". My comprehension of reading has evolved from reading...show more

I feel that organization is both a strength and a weakness in my writing. Free writing is something
that helped me gain a better sense of my ideas and through this I was able to create more structured
ideas. However, the formation of a structurally sound essay that contains writing that flows was
extremely difficult for myself. Fluidity was a challenge throughout my time in this course, but is
was also something that created a better voice in my writing. The understanding of reading and
writing in this course was extremely meaningful for me and made a huge impact on my writing
overall. Writing motivates me and inspires me in my own work to create stories and share with
others what I feel is memorable and should be shared. Although it may never be something perfect,
writing is something I wish to continue improving on and creating in order to share with

Write An Essay About You As A Writer
It is the end of this high school year and I am glad to say that I accomplished many things. The idea
of doing a blog was a very successful one, given that I was able to write about what i like and
improve my writing skills. Therefore, I believe that throughout this year I was able to grow as a
writer, express myself better, and expand my knowledge. In addition to my English class, I was
also able to improve my skills in others subjects such as history and theology, in which I had to
write a few paragraphs, but mostly I had to read a lot which definitely expanded my knowledge
and improved my vocabulary. That said, since I was required to write about different subjects, I also
had to improve research skills and my creativity when writing about personal opinions. Overall,
being able to write not only English related papers made me abroad my thoughts and enhance my
writing skills. In the same way, my English papers and blog entries also helped me to become a
better writer. I was very found of my blog posts, not only because it was a reflection on my life but
also because of the effort that I put in it. I procrastinated way less this last quarter by making...show

English 101 Made Me a Better Writer
Everyone on the planet has a goal set in life, but only a handful attempt to improve to obtain their
goal by studying the subject their goal is in. In my English class, English 101 this quarter I was
astonished by how much I had progressed as a writer sharpening my writing skills and also
learned a lot about writing that I hadn't learned before. In my writing portfolio for this quarter I
had to write an autobiography essay, a research essay, and this reflection essay to develop my
writing skills better. The writing assignments were fun to do because it challenged me to work on
essays of different styles that were new to me. The essay assignments helped me grow as a better
writer that gave me the self–confidence and skills to take on the world on my own. During the
beginning of the English 101 when we began the writing process: I thought at first that we spent
too much time on our essays but I soon realized how important it was spending time on the essays
to improve them . The revisions that my teacher and classmates made on my essays were truly
helpful for me because it allowed me to better my writing. For every week in the entire course we
went over the MLA formatting process, annotating, citing within the essay, and how to make the
paper flow better. I had the most troubles in this quarter when I started writing some of my essays
for my portfolio because I didn't have a clue how to start them at first. After a while of brainstorming
ideas and seeing examples the teacher

The company's creams inventory remains constant because it does not follow a trend in
innovation and changes so often as the other products. The surplus in inventory is a big
disadvantage since; last year's products may not be in style this year in addition to the cost of
storage. For all these reasons their cash flow is less in comparison with previous years causing that
Luxor Cosmetics keeps increasing their bank loans, creating more debt, making it harder to pay out
as 2011. In this particular situation the company could have either decrease its budgeted sales
(productions) or increase its actual sales by improving more effective marketing strategy and
research and development of its products in the markets. This way their inventory would decrease
and their cash flow would increase. (Hopkins, 2009)

Experience Of Writing
Writing, it has it's good, and it's bad. Regardless of who you are however, you have had an
experience with it. College, High School, Middle School, etc. We all have written something at
some point in our lives. Personally I haven't been exposed to massive amounts of writing outside
of school although, I do enjoy writing songs. There's many different types from Novels, Poetry,
Music, all the way to texting. Most people I feel enjoy writing and as do I. I enjoy writing for a few
reasons,One. It allows me to relieve stress or anything on my mind and keep sane. I have a
journal to keep track of days for later memories and I add to it every day. I have a few experiences
worth sharing as well. One of my first experiences seriously writing is when, I was in Highschool,
and had to write a speech. I spent four days writing this speech. Although it wasn't what you would

Reflective Essay: Me As A Writer
The expression "practice makes perfect" could not be any truer. Writing along with any other
activity or hobby, is something that can be improved. Over time the creative writing process
becomes second nature, and without even realizing every essay, paper or simple paragraph will end
up having the same format. Many strategies can improve a persons' writing, but for me the act of
brainstorming, outlining, and peer editing have immensely benefitted me as a writer.
For most people the idea of sitting and writing an eight hundred word paper with no preparation is a
daunting and difficult task. The act of brainstorming gives you time to throw around ideas and
narrow down what exactly what the writer would like to write and convey in their essay. Taking time
to write ideas down or perhaps say them out loud assists the writer in determining the direction in
which he or she would like to take his or her essay. An extra five to ten minutes before writing can
make the greatest difference in every piece of writing...show more content...
In writing outlining gives the time to think of a "plan of action". Outlining is the act of
separating and organizing your ideas, reasoning and rebuttals in an essay or paper. Having a plan
keeps the writer from straying off topic and making a clear and precise point in his or her writing.
I find that I tend to ramble or go off topic in my writing, but after outlining I can see where every
thought should be placed. Being able to see a rough draft of my essay shows me exactly what
needs to be fixed along with setting the basis for my final essay. Outlining has become a regular
step in my writing process, which benefits me in more subjects than just English. Even when
writing an essay in history the skills I learned in English 1301 can be transferred over to improve my
essay and overall test

What Word Writing Means To Me
Writing is freedom. For those that read and those that compose, writing is the release of
imagination, consciousness, and progress. Whether it is works like the Code of Hammurabi,
Thomas Paine's Common Sense, or Adolf Hitler's Mein Kampf, this release has played a vital role
in shaping today's world by upholding, constructing, and tearing down reality. This means that reality
has been positively and negatively impacted by the power of writing. With this outlook, how can
anyone decide whether writing is virtuous or wicked? The answer is found in the eye of the
beholder. From my standpoint, it is noble and refining. It gives me an escape, a purpose, and a voice
in the world that I am expected to accept but destined to change. Initially, reading...show more

Some of my favorite books included I, Coriander by Sally Gardner, The Selection series by Kiera
Cass, and various mythology books. I have often read entire books in one day even if I lose sleep
over it, but it is worth it as they take me to a place where I am a different person who is brave,
independent, and strong. For that brief amount of time, I forget about my problems. This allows me
to overcome any anxiety that I harbor from the outside world. As for my works, it might come as a
shock that instead of writing the fiction that I read, I write non–fiction. On multiple occasions, I have
attempted to write stories with new worlds and unique characters, but it was always tedious. It does
not give me the feeling that non–fiction writing does. Because of this, my works focus on realistic
elements that people can learn from rather than imaginary instances. I do this by using history,
nature, and my own experiences to relate to other people and show them new ways of thinking
about things. For the most part, my works seemed to accomplish their goal as most of my teachers
throughout school were impressed. Mrs. Head, who taught me during my sophomore and senior

My senior year I have learn a lot thanks to my teachers that been helping me improve in writing

Literacy Narrative: My Reading and Writing Experience over the Years
I have never been the type of student who enjoyed reading or writing. I have always found it
difficult to express myself by writing narratives, book reports, and any other required assignment. I
am far more skilled at speaking or verbal expression in general as I have found over the years that
people tend to misunderstand my point if it is written.
When I sit to write, I have to think about what I want to say. This is not easy for me as I tend to
think about several things at once. Clearing my mind and focusing on the writing task is a challenge
in itself. I do not consider myself a strong writer and find it intimidating especially when I know it
will be critiqued. The sense of failure when seeing the paper I worked so hard on look like the
newest local headline of a recent murder is disheartening for me. I assume I am being overly
critical of myself but those feelings seem to be redeemed when I look over the aftermath of what
was my wonderful work of mental art.
The irony of all of this is I write many different things in my current job. One any given day I draft
contracts, amendments, and addendums to name a few. I have learned a great deal from my bosses
and mentors which has made me a better writer and more aware of my grammar and proofreading
of work. My Vice President is an attorney and English major with a keen ability to find the minutest
errors. I try to take any criticism

How To Write Me
I learned how to write when I was six years old. I was a very smart, curies and happy child. Being
very interesting in new things made me practice writing and reading over and over again.
First, I started learning how to write a letter. Later on I learned that letters became words and the
words became sentences .Also, reading a book taught me how to write was a way of expressing my
feelings. Even if the life experience of a six years old child does not have a lot of things to write
about, the adventures of everyday life inspired me to write my first page in my life.
When my mom found out about my passion for writing and reading she bought me my first
diary. One sunny spring day, she came to my room and she gave me beautiful pink box with the

What Is Writing Like Me
Writing. Writing is a no. I do not like writing. It does not like me. I have very little good
experiences with it. Maybe even none. The only good writing I can do is outside of school. When
I attempt it in school, I forget words, how to spell them, and how to phrase them. Its like being in
Kindergarten again. I have no motivation to start if I can even find an idea. Me and writing are like
Zordon and the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Thinking about it there's probably a better
analogy out there like, I don't know, Batman and Joker if you wanna be boring. Or I could bring up
something insensitive 'cause bringing up my writing can lead to great offense. Don't talk about it. If
I wanted to bring up any experience I've had with writing, they would

My Experience In English Writing
English is a core concept in the Untied States and other countries that has allowed inviduals to
advance their knowledge. Not only does English provide an advancement in knowlege, but has
created a way for individuals to share their thoughts and feelings through writing. Which is why
English is one of the four subjects that is required to be taught in almost every school district in
America including mine. I began taking English from a young age which allowed me to take
advanced placement English IV my senior year at Tupelo High School. Advanced Placement English
IV allowed me to further my education in writing, which in return allowed me to overcome
obstacles, low points and discover strengths I never knew I had. Like any other thing in life there
are always obstacles individuals face everyday, for me in my English IV class writing was
something that was very challenging. The first challenge writing presented to me was trying to
organize all of my thoughts, so that it made sense. The first essay I ever wrote in my English class
was a journal entry about a memorable experience, so with that being said I decided I would write
about the experience I had while hunting with my Dad. The hunting experience with my dad had
many different parts, and one of my biggest challenges I had was organizing my thoughts, so that it
flowed correctly. Since I was telling a story within my journal I realized that I was jumping around
more then I should have and this became a problem. I learned

Write An Essay About Writing To Me
I believe that writing is not only something that I am taught in school by structure, but also
something that can be done freely. In my eighteen years, I have found that writing can be an out for
me to express my feelings when words cannot always be spoken. For me, writing can be the only
way to communicate the way I feel about certain things. Sitting down, putting pen to paper, and
letting any thought or idea I have hiding out in my mind come to light is a feeling I cannot gain
from anything else. I enjoy the way thoughts and phrases build upon each other to become greater
ideas. For instance, once when me and my girlfriend were in an argument I found that writing helped
our situation the most. We had argued for days and were not getting...show more content...
My classmates and I were asked to write a persuasive essay convincing our audience to do or
believe something. We had just completed the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.)
program so my first idea was to write about something pertaining to that. I chose to write a letter
to my mom in hopes of persuading her to stop smoking. I had already tried telling my mom she
should not smoke, and express my feelings of negativity towards her habit; nothing seemed to
work. I sat down one evening began writing, and it took me days to get all of my thoughts onto
paper the way that I wanted them. I edited and revised until I had the letter as perfect as I could
get it. I presented the letter to my mother, she was in tears before she made it through the first
paragraph. By the end of the letter she had agreed to quit smoking. Nine years later and my mother
is still smoke free. I accredit all of this to writing and the way that it helps me express my feelings
and to get my point across.
I do not believe writing exclusively passes on information or explains things. Writing is much
deeper and emotional than that. I believe writing is unlike anything else in the way it can help one
to express themselves and portray my feelings to another person. Writing is the only thing in my
life that allows me to channel all of my thoughts and ideas into one place. I believe there is not a
single thing in the world can compare or compete with

Write And Essay For Me

  • 1. What My Writing Means To Me Writing is my thing, and I can't help but do it every day! To me, it's a talent, it comes as an urgent call of nature that must be appeased. I have been writing since 2012, which means, we are talking of more than four years of content creation. I base my writing solidly on research and facts. I understand that the key reason for online writing is to engage readers and softly provoke them to take the intended action. For over the years, I've enjoyed great success in writing articles, blog posts, web content and product reviews. I have also seen clients send me tips for the satisfactory projects I handled for them. I understand that the turnaround time is one of the most essential aspects of the writing process and therefore I ensure on–time Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Personal Narrative: My Essay For Me My essay for assignment 5 was the most memorable essay for me to write. When I first looked at this assignment, I was nervous about writing a letter from my grandfather to myself. I did not know what he would say to me since I didn't talk to him much during his last days. Instead of writing out a whole letter, I decided to just write parts of a letter and analyze each part as I wrote. I felt that this was a better strategy for me because it allowed me to compare my feelings to those that I thought my grandfather would feel. The letter from my grandfather discussed the reasons why he felt he had to hide his leukemia from me. My grandfather talked about wanting to remain strong for the family; he did not want the rest of the family to...show more content... At the end of my essay, Jeff informed me that this essay was the best essay I had written in this class. He called it a masterpiece. I started tearing up in class on Monday when I read these words. I had never viewed myself as a good writer when writing about personal topics. For Jeff to say such nice things about my grandfather proved to me that I am capable of self–disclosure. The comments affected me tremendously; Jeff's assurances of my writing in my essay are what motivated me to write this assignment. Originally I was going to keep this essay a secret from my parents, but I eventually told my father about this essay. He cried when I read it to him. My paternal grandfather was the one who had died, and his death was extremely hard on my father. My father told me that he was haunted by questions similar to my own. My father feels lost without my grandfather. I cannot imagine what it must be like to lose a parent, even though death is inevitable. When my father heard my essay, he told me that he felt comforted by the fact that I expressed deep love and support for my grandfather. He assured me that my grandfather wanted me to remember him as healthy. Writing this essay has brought me closer to understanding not only myself, but also my relationship with my father. I understand what it takes to be strong when life is tough. I understand that it is okay to feel anger and guilt when a loved one dies. I understand that a family can act as a support system, but it is also okay to grieve alone. I used to want to be left alone right after my grandfather died. I needed space to think and cry. This essay acted as my gateway to breaking down the walls I had constructed and allowing my family back in. This essay allowed me to share my emotions with my father, and in doing so, I was able to help both him and myself Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Why Is Writing Important To Me Essay To me, Writing has always been a great way to express my ideas, and remember past events. I like all types of writing. Some of my favorites include narratives, and persuasive writing. I enjoy writing narratives because they give me a freedom to voice my ideas in words, and allowing me to be creative. I also like persuasive writing because the writing just seems fun to me, and I also like persuading people. The most difficult type of writing would have to be narrative writing. Even though it is one of my favorites, it is still very challenging. Narrative writing requires you to create a story and make sure it all fits. When it is fictional, you must use a lot of creativity, and when it is non–fiction, you must be able to research the facts to Get more content on HelpWriting.net

I watched learning videos teaching me how to talk properly and use different words. Once I reached first grade, we began writing very simple sentences and learning the basics of writing. By the time I reached Elementary school, we learned about the sentence structure and we began making more complex sentences. We also started writing paragraphs and short essays. When I reached Middle school, we began writing longer essays and we learned how to write in more detail. We started learning more advanced vocabulary and different styles of writing. We learned mostly about fiction, non–fiction, and persuasive essays. In my...show more content... When I was eleven years old, I was asked to be interviewed on camera about golf. I was very nervous and I honestly did not want to do it. I did the interview anyway and it was a very embarrassing experience for me. The interviewer told me to answer in complete sentences because the audience wouldn't hear him ask the question. He asked me the first question, "Why do you like to play golf?" I simply replied with, "It's mostly fun." Thankfully it wasn't a live interview so I got a second chance. The second time, I answered in complete sentences and gave much better answers. On my birthday last week, my brothers came down from North Carolina to visit me and my family. My dad showed everyone the DVD that my interview was on. My family thought that I did a good job with the interview but I didn't agree. My brothers were giving me a hard time about what I said in the first take of the interview. The whole weekend they were repeating, "It's mostly fun." This was very embarrassing for me but I have learned a lot from this experience. I have learned how to write better and be more comfortable around cameras. I have written many non–fiction essays, and I really enjoy writing them. Persuasion is one of my favorite types of non–fiction writing. I have written persuasive essays throughout middle school and high school. When I was in middle school, I wrote letters to the principle trying to convince him to change certain things about our school to make it better. For example, I Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. My Writing Style Kim, Thank you for allowing me to read your paper. This is a great start to a well written final product. What do you like about the writing? I enjoyed reading your paper. You have a writing style that invites the reader to fully engage your argument. You presented a clear, logical presentation of course material combined with personal insights and experiences that were well suited for your paper. It was a thorough and thoughtful presentation of the material. Well done. How is the writing objective (not overly subjective) communicating ideas with clarity? You provided a nice balance of objectivity and subjectivity as your cited ample evidence for your argumentation and interweaved personal reflections and anecdotes into the paper. Your did an excellent job in using the breadth and depth of texts that were used in our classes, which made for a well rounded paper. Apart from a few areas of your paper which may need to be reworded and fine tuned, I would suggest defining a few of the terms that are used in your paper, to make their meaning more clear to your reader (Weltanschauung, meaning perspective, distorted assumptions etc.). These are noted in my comments on your paper....show more content... Your writing provided an orderly and structured approach to the presentation of your argument. I appreciated your use of citations to support your ideas, which helped the reader understand the connection between leadership and inquiry. I would offer the suggestion to use section headings in the paper that correspond to your key points. • 7. Essay About Myself There are three very important aspects that play a major rule in my life. They can be categorized as intellectual, social, and spiritual. My intellectual self is interesting because I am mainly right–brained which means that I tend to use my creativity more than my mathematical skills, also making me a visual learner. My social self consists of friends, family, and my surroundings. I spend most of my time at home with my family. Whenever I am with my friends, I observe their behaviors and listen to their opinions. A few examples of my childhood memories are my mother reading to me, my grandfather playing his guitar, and my dad relentlessly teaching me how to ice skate, no matter how many times I fell. The people who affect my social life the most are my family and friends. I have an extremely close family that has played a major role in my life. They are whom I spend most of my spare time with. My family usually gathers every weekend for dinner. I am also very open to different religions, cultures, and practices because I know many people with different backgrounds and beliefs. Since I've been influenced by various people, I've learned at a very young age to never judge people by how they look, dress, feel, or act. I am very fortunate to have learned these lessons, because many people still do not understand the importance of accepting differences. In a group, I prefer to listen to what others have to say, and then contribute to the discussion. I try to listen so I am able to compare them to my own thoughts. I enjoy working in a group, because it gives everyone an opportunity to incorporate their own ideas. My social self is most greatly influenced by my family and friends. I believe that my spiritual self is the most important out of the three. Although I have a certain religion that I belong to and practice, I believe in a bit of Get more content on HelpWriting.net

I viewed writing as a chore which only involved checking for grammatical errors, and I couldn't understand why anyone would seriously enjoy writing. I would stay up all night to try to hurry and finish stacks of library books. I once came very close to the checkout limit at my local library, which is 20, and I checked out 18. I spent many summers reading, which I found much more enjoyable than being outside in scorching weather. My memories of learning how to read are likely much different than those of others. I would have been happy if I could have offered even a small glimpse of the person behind those words. Despite my unpleasant attitude towards writing, which didn't change for years, I was raised with the importance of literacy, and I realized how important it would be to improve my writing skills. I have always loved to read, and I grew up on books. My parents read to me and encouraged me to read, something that has probably made my love for reading ingrained. • 11. My Writing Experience Reading and writing has always created a sense of understanding for me in my art. Reading in the literal sense is a way that we understand text or symbols in our minds which in turn create meaning. Writing also in a literal sense is our way of communicating our knowledge and emotions to others through symbols in text. The human experience for all people includes communication and through reading and writing this experience is created. From the beginning of this course, my only prior experience with reading and writing were high school level course over literature and reading. I had an average level of rhetoric, reading, writing and language overall however, understanding the significance of these subjects was never put forth in such a way until I took this course. The idea of doing a blog was a very successful one, given that I was able to write about what i like and improve my writing skills. Therefore, I believe that throughout this year I was able to grow as a writer, express myself better, and expand my knowledge. In addition to my English class, I was also able to improve my skills in others subjects such as history and theology, in which I had to write a few paragraphs, but mostly I had to read a lot which definitely expanded my knowledge and improved my vocabulary. That said, since I was required to write about different subjects, I also had to improve research skills and my creativity when writing about personal opinions. Overall, being able to write not only English related papers made me abroad my thoughts and enhance my writing skills. In the same way, my English papers and blog entries also helped me to become a better writer. • 14. English 101 Made Me a Better Writer Everyone on the planet has a goal set in life, but only a handful attempt to improve to obtain their goal by studying the subject their goal is in. In my English class, English 101 this quarter I was astonished by how much I had progressed as a writer sharpening my writing skills and also learned a lot about writing that I hadn't learned before. In my writing portfolio for this quarter I had to write an autobiography essay, a research essay, and this reflection essay to develop my writing skills better. The writing assignments were fun to do because it challenged me to work on essays of different styles that were new to me. The essay assignments helped me grow as a better writer that gave me the self–confidence and skills to take on the world on my own. During the beginning of the English 101 when we began the writing process: I thought at first that we spent too much time on our essays but I soon realized how important it was spending time on the essays to improve them . The revisions that my teacher and classmates made on my essays were truly helpful for me because it allowed me to better my writing. For every week in the entire course we went over the MLA formatting process, annotating, citing within the essay, and how to make the paper flow better. I had the most troubles in this quarter when I started writing some of my essays for my portfolio because I didn't have a clue how to start them at first. After a while of brainstorming ideas and seeing examples the teacher Get more content on HelpWriting.net

The surplus in inventory is a big disadvantage since; last year's products may not be in style this year in addition to the cost of storage. For all these reasons their cash flow is less in comparison with previous years causing that Luxor Cosmetics keeps increasing their bank loans, creating more debt, making it harder to pay out as 2011. In this particular situation the company could have either decrease its budgeted sales (productions) or increase its actual sales by improving more effective marketing strategy and research and development of its products in the markets. This way their inventory would decrease and their cash flow would increase. (Hopkins, 2009) Further, through effective marketing strategy Luxor Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. Experience Of Writing Writing, it has it's good, and it's bad. Regardless of who you are however, you have had an experience with it. College, High School, Middle School, etc. We all have written something at some point in our lives. Personally I haven't been exposed to massive amounts of writing outside of school although, I do enjoy writing songs. There's many different types from Novels, Poetry, Music, all the way to texting. Most people I feel enjoy writing and as do I. I enjoy writing for a few reasons,One. It allows me to relieve stress or anything on my mind and keep sane. I have a journal to keep track of days for later memories and I add to it every day. I have a few experiences worth sharing as well. One of my first experiences seriously writing is when, I was in Highschool, and had to write a speech. I spent four days writing this speech. Although it wasn't what you would call outstandingly fun. The speech was for my graduation on the last day of school BSEP. BSEP was a project all seniors had to complete and pass to graduate. I have been out of school for two years since that experience....show more content... I began writing songs about a year ago. The drive really came out of nowhere I wasn't in a very good place emotionally. Since I was feeling kind of down I began to write songs mostly R&B and as well as Hip Hop. Writing these however doesn't require much punctuation. I write a lot of songs, and I have compiled about 30 total in the past year. I get a lot of good feedback from the people who have heard them but I am very skittish about singing in front of people. I mostly do it for self satisfaction in my own head it helps me relax. I'm also building a skill that might one day turn out to become something Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 18. Reflective Essay: Me As A Writer The expression "practice makes perfect" could not be any truer. Writing along with any other activity or hobby, is something that can be improved. Over time the creative writing process becomes second nature, and without even realizing every essay, paper or simple paragraph will end up having the same format. Many strategies can improve a persons' writing, but for me the act of brainstorming, outlining, and peer editing have immensely benefitted me as a writer. For most people the idea of sitting and writing an eight hundred word paper with no preparation is a daunting and difficult task. The act of brainstorming gives you time to throw around ideas and narrow down what exactly what the writer would like to write and convey in their essay. Taking time to write ideas down or perhaps say them out loud assists the writer in determining the direction in which he or she would like to take his or her essay. An extra five to ten minutes before writing can make the greatest difference in every piece of writing...show more content... In writing outlining gives the time to think of a "plan of action". Outlining is the act of separating and organizing your ideas, reasoning and rebuttals in an essay or paper. Having a plan keeps the writer from straying off topic and making a clear and precise point in his or her writing. I find that I tend to ramble or go off topic in my writing, but after outlining I can see where every thought should be placed. Being able to see a rough draft of my essay shows me exactly what needs to be fixed along with setting the basis for my final essay. Outlining has become a regular step in my writing process, which benefits me in more subjects than just English. Even when writing an essay in history the skills I learned in English 1301 can be transferred over to improve my essay and overall test Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. What Word Writing Means To Me Writing is freedom. For those that read and those that compose, writing is the release of imagination, consciousness, and progress. Whether it is works like the Code of Hammurabi, Thomas Paine's Common Sense, or Adolf Hitler's Mein Kampf, this release has played a vital role in shaping today's world by upholding, constructing, and tearing down reality. This means that reality has been positively and negatively impacted by the power of writing. With this outlook, how can anyone decide whether writing is virtuous or wicked? The answer is found in the eye of the beholder. From my standpoint, it is noble and refining. It gives me an escape, a purpose, and a voice in the world that I am expected to accept but destined to change. Initially, reading...show more content... Some of my favorite books included I, Coriander by Sally Gardner, The Selection series by Kiera Cass, and various mythology books. I have often read entire books in one day even if I lose sleep over it, but it is worth it as they take me to a place where I am a different person who is brave, independent, and strong. For that brief amount of time, I forget about my problems. This allows me to overcome any anxiety that I harbor from the outside world. As for my works, it might come as a shock that instead of writing the fiction that I read, I write non–fiction. On multiple occasions, I have attempted to write stories with new worlds and unique characters, but it was always tedious. It does not give me the feeling that non–fiction writing does. Because of this, my works focus on realistic elements that people can learn from rather than imaginary instances. I do this by using history, nature, and my own experiences to relate to other people and show them new ways of thinking about things. For the most part, my works seemed to accomplish their goal as most of my teachers throughout school were impressed. Mrs. Head, who taught me during my sophomore and senior year, always encouraged my writing. She loved my research paper on the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II, and she proofread my research paper on the life of Get more content on HelpWriting.net

All the information my teachers been given me help me outside of school on how to write letters on why should I be accepted into their college. I been putting time and effort on becoming a better writer. Although I been absent some days where my teacher has gone over expository and persuasive I am confident that this has no affect on me. I'm sure it does not affect me because why im absent I just study at home and the next day I ask my teacher for the lesson I missed in class. Every day I try to read the newspaper to gather new information about what's going on around the world. Sometimes I read the newspaper and they use big words like "saxicolous" I had no idea what that meant at first but then every time I pass a word I don't know I write down on the side and research the word. • 21. Essay on Writing Experience My Writing Experiences My experiences in writing have been minimal. I have only learned the basics of writing, like putting together sentences, forming paragraphs with sentences, and things like that. Since I have been taking college English, I can tell my writing has improved a lot. In the future, I hope to be able to improve tremendously at writing essays, paragraphs, research papers, documents, and stories so that I have very little to no errors with drafting and final products. • 22. My Reading and Writing Experience over the Years Literacy Narrative: My Reading and Writing Experience over the Years I have never been the type of student who enjoyed reading or writing. I have always found it difficult to express myself by writing narratives, book reports, and any other required assignment. I am far more skilled at speaking or verbal expression in general as I have found over the years that people tend to misunderstand my point if it is written. When I sit to write, I have to think about what I want to say. This is not easy for me as I tend to think about several things at once. Clearing my mind and focusing on the writing task is a challenge in itself. I do not consider myself a strong writer and find it intimidating especially when I know it will be critiqued. The sense of failure when seeing the paper I worked so hard on look like the newest local headline of a recent murder is disheartening for me. I assume I am being overly critical of myself but those feelings seem to be redeemed when I look over the aftermath of what was my wonderful work of mental art. The irony of all of this is I write many different things in my current job. One any given day I draft contracts, amendments, and addendums to name a few. I have learned a great deal from my bosses and mentors which has made me a better writer and more aware of my grammar and proofreading of work. My Vice President is an attorney and English major with a keen ability to find the minutest errors. I try to take any criticism Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Being very interesting in new things made me practice writing and reading over and over again. First, I started learning how to write a letter. Later on I learned that letters became words and the words became sentences .Also, reading a book taught me how to write was a way of expressing my feelings. Even if the life experience of a six years old child does not have a lot of things to write about, the adventures of everyday life inspired me to write my first page in my life. The only good writing I can do is outside of school. When I attempt it in school, I forget words, how to spell them, and how to phrase them. Its like being in Kindergarten again. I have no motivation to start if I can even find an idea. Me and writing are like Zordon and the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Thinking about it there's probably a better analogy out there like, I don't know, Batman and Joker if you wanna be boring. • 25. My Experience In English Writing English is a core concept in the Untied States and other countries that has allowed inviduals to advance their knowledge. Not only does English provide an advancement in knowlege, but has created a way for individuals to share their thoughts and feelings through writing. Which is why English is one of the four subjects that is required to be taught in almost every school district in America including mine. I began taking English from a young age which allowed me to take advanced placement English IV my senior year at Tupelo High School. Advanced Placement English IV allowed me to further my education in writing, which in return allowed me to overcome obstacles, low points and discover strengths I never knew I had. Like any other thing in life there are always obstacles individuals face everyday, for me in my English IV class writing was something that was very challenging. The first challenge writing presented to me was trying to organize all of my thoughts, so that it made sense. The first essay I ever wrote in my English class was a journal entry about a memorable experience, so with that being said I decided I would write about the experience I had while hunting with my Dad. The hunting experience with my dad had many different parts, and one of my biggest challenges I had was organizing my thoughts, so that it flowed correctly. Since I was telling a story within my journal I realized that I was jumping around more then I should have and this became a problem. I learned Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 26. Write An Essay About Writing To Me I believe that writing is not only something that I am taught in school by structure, but also something that can be done freely. In my eighteen years, I have found that writing can be an out for me to express my feelings when words cannot always be spoken. For me, writing can be the only way to communicate the way I feel about certain things. Sitting down, putting pen to paper, and letting any thought or idea I have hiding out in my mind come to light is a feeling I cannot gain from anything else. I enjoy the way thoughts and phrases build upon each other to become greater ideas. For instance, once when me and my girlfriend were in an argument I found that writing helped our situation the most. We had argued for days and were not getting...show more content... My classmates and I were asked to write a persuasive essay convincing our audience to do or believe something. We had just completed the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program so my first idea was to write about something pertaining to that. I chose to write a letter to my mom in hopes of persuading her to stop smoking. I had already tried telling my mom she should not smoke, and express my feelings of negativity towards her habit; nothing seemed to work. I sat down one evening began writing, and it took me days to get all of my thoughts onto paper the way that I wanted them. I edited and revised until I had the letter as perfect as I could get it. I presented the letter to my mother, she was in tears before she made it through the first paragraph. By the end of the letter she had agreed to quit smoking. Nine years later and my mother is still smoke free. I accredit all of this to writing and the way that it helps me express my feelings and to get my point across. I do not believe writing exclusively passes on information or explains things. Writing is much deeper and emotional than that. I believe writing is unlike anything else in the way it can help one to express themselves and portray my feelings to another person. Writing is the only thing in my life that allows me to channel all of my thoughts and ideas into one place.
