4. And that was just my father’s father’s side of the family!
What would I find on the other sides of my family?
So I became interested in my family’s past … and
found out a lot!
How can I take this interest and extend
it to a program at the Library?
Our summer Reading program was Dig Into Reading
Named my program Dig Into Your History!
5. Sense of self through finding out…
Who am I?
Where did I come from?
Am I English, German,
French, or a mixture of a
whole lot of nationalities?
What did my ancestors
look like?
How can I find this out?
6. Getting the kids interested in finding out about their past:
Are you related to someone
famous?
Or even better, are you related to
someone infamous?
