human beings

Concept
The origin of Human Rights concept is in the 1948
Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR).
The aim of this Declaration was to set basic
minimum international standards for the protection
of the rights and freedoms of the individual.
The fundamental nature of these provisions means
that they are now widely regarded as forming a
foundation of international law regarding human
rights.

Sixty years after the Universal Declaration of Human
Rights adopted by the United Nations, People in india
are still tortured and ill-treated
West Bengal, Orissa, and Jammu & Kashmir are the
worst affected human rights violation state in India
Institutional mechanisms failed to protect civil and
political rights or ensure justice for victims.
A range of human rights violations occurred in
Nandigram generated by the local police and in Orissa
not less than 50 people were injured in the struggle
