1. Requesting materials through Interlibrary Loan tutorial
(ILLIAD)
Interlibrary Loan internet accessible database

This goal of this tutorial is to provide instruction for
all Florida Atlantic University students on how to use the
Interlibrary Loan system. This service provides access to
material not contained in the library’s print or electronic
collections.
2. At the conclusion of this
video you will be able to
locate the interlibrary
loan icon on the
libraries website, open
an account, access your
account, order material
and renew material
On the left side in blue
click on interlibrary loan
–Uborrow
3. First time users and returning users click
on the Proceed to Illiad icon
4. If you are a first time user click on
the link labeled first time user.
5. It is important to use
your FAU e-mail
address when
prompted. At the
bottom of the page in
red click on first time
users. TO complete
the process scroll to
the bottom of the
page:
reading and
agreeing to this
information press
"Click Here”
6. Making a new request is so easy simply click on
the new request link

View all outstanding
requests
View all electronically
received articles
View all checked out
items
View all information
current, past and
canceled requests
View any notifications
Access your account
to change personal
information and
password
7. When making a request have the following information before
you begin: Author/Editor – Title – Publisher – Place and Date of
Publication – Edition –ISBN
8. To renew a
request look
under on
VIEW on the
left hand side.
Click on
checked out
items.
9. Next click on the transaction number and RENEW
REQUEST will appear at the top of the screen
