A blind boy sat with a hat asking for help, which only had a few coins. A man dropped coins in, then changed the boy's sign to say "Today is a beautiful day and I cannot see it." More people then donated to the boy. The man later confirmed he changed the sign to convey the same message differently, that people should feel lucky not to be blind. The moral is to think creatively and positively to help others in a wise way.

6. Do you think the first sign and the second sign were saying the same thing? Of course both signs told people the boy was blind. But the first sign simply said the boy was blind. The second sign told people they were so lucky that they were not blind. Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective?
