1. Morality Homework Questions.
2005 Section 4. Q6 A, a-d.
A, Moral Code we have studied is the Jewish 10 commandments.
B, The fifth commandments states that “ you shall not kill.” This
means that jewish people believe that everyone has a right to life.
Everyone has the right to live their lives without the threat of
violence or threat.
C, The responsibility it expresses is that we have a duty to respect
the lives of other people. We have to protect live at all costs.
D, Ten commandments are a moral code which are important for
Christians and Jews. When making a moral decision they will take
into account what it says in the ten commandments. For example a
young person may be being influenced by their peers to drink
alcohol. They know that their parents would not be happy. They may
be influenced by the fourth commandment which states “honour
your father and mother” When making a moral decision some
people may inform their conscience using the stop sign of morality.
People who are religious will be influenced by their religion and the
moral codes it contains. Therefore people with religious moral vision
will turn to the moral code of their religion to make the best decision
for them.
