My Stewardship Pie: At-Home Activity for You/Your Team
This activity asks you to consider how to allocate your stewardship “pie” among these activities:
• Prayers
• Presence
• Gifts
• Service
• Witness
Activity Instructions:
• Begin by carefully reading these words a few times: “faithfully participate in its ministries
by their prayers, their presence, their gifts, their service, and their witness.”
• Write any notes, observations, or questions that come to your mind.
Use the circle below to show how you slice your stewardship pie.
Current picture:
• Draw lines across the circle to indicate
how much of the pie you normally give
to each of the five membership
activities: prayers, presence, gifts,
service, and witness. (Note: Your
“slices” may not be equal sizes. You
may spend more of your stewardship
on prayer than on service. Be honest in
your assessment.)
• Label each pie “slice” with an activity – prayers,
presence, gifts, service, witness.
• Prayerfully consider whether this picture reflects your desired stewardship pie.
• Use the second circle (next page) to slice your preferred stewardship pie.

Questions for reflection/discussion:
• What needs to change in my life to
move my stewardship from the
“current” to the “preferred” picture?
• What new service and giving opportunities would I pursue if money were no object?
• How much time would I spend daily in prayer, if time were not so precious?
• How can I offer myself to be more fully present in worship, service, and relationships
with others?
• What habits and practices may be interfering with my Christian witness?
• What gifts would I like to cultivate and nurture as I grow in my Christian Stewardship?
