Phrasalverbs 1.  A phrasal verb is a verb plus a preposition or adverb which creates a meaning different from the original verb. Example: I ran intomy teacher at the movies last night. run + into = meet He ran awaywhen he was 15. run + away = leave home
1-VERB  +   ADVERB / PREPOSITION  “Ask for”: Meaning:To provoke a negative reaction Example:You're ASKING FOR trouble. Meaning:Request to have or be given Example:I ASKED FOR the menu. “carryon”: Meaning:continue (a conversation, a game) Example:Please, CARRY ON. I didn't mean to interrupt you
