PR3 Deconstructing a
computer game
Task: Imagine you work in the quality
assurance department of Rockstar Games. You
have tested the game fully and now need to
write your report to the marketing manager,
production designers and game producers.
In your report, analyse ONE of the games you
used for PR2. Discuss the following points:
Visual style: 10/10
Interface: 9/10
Gameplay: 10/10
•The target audience for GTA 5 is 18 – 35 year
old male people because the content of the
game is more male orientated
•The unique selling points of GTA 5 are, It is
part of a successful franchise which will make
people want to buy it. Also people liked the
games before it so they will probably like this
one too.
Positive aspects
• Huge open world to explore
• a variety of different vehicles to
drive
• Many off mission activities to do
Negative aspects
• Online has many problems with
connecting to games
• Online didn’t release until 2 weeks
after the single player
