5.  Operators of Lifts should always inspect the
equipment each day before using. The
operator’s manual usually contains a
checklist to help you
 Monthly or yearly inspections of equipment
must be conducted by a competent person.
Records must be maintained along with any
work that is done to the equipment.
 Operating Instructions must always be posted
on the equipment and all operators should be
familiar with the contents.

bearing and motor, lift cylinder and boom pins and
bushings, and the hydraulic hoses and wiring.
The bearings and pins and bushings need to
be inspected from time to time for
lubrication and wear.
