• It represents level of quality for project or product
• At 6 sigma, 1.5 out of 1M cars will have a problem
• At 3 sigma, only 2700 out of 1M cars will have a problem
• 3Sigma is like 3SD (Standard Deviation) and 6Sigma like 6SD.
2- SIX SIGMA
• Failure mode and effect analysis
• An analytical procedure in which each potential failure mode in
every component of a product is analyzed to determine its effect
on the reliability of that component
