12 – 17 Aprile, Salone Internazionale del Mobile, ecco un’altra occasione perfetta per un nuovo
numero della nostra Fanzine.
Stavolta ci siamo avventurati nel mondo della Milano da Bere con una collaboratrice d’eccezione,
cercando di proporvi itinerari easy going per tutte le attività che possono affiancare la visita del
Salone e FuoriSalone e soprattutto per darvi qualche dritta sui posti più ‘fighi’ descritti da chi
davvero li frequenta, come Benedetta.
Ci è sembrato poi utile spiegarvi come e da cosa nascono i fa-vo-lo-si progetti di A4A, nostro
partner per l’allestimento del FuoriSalone nei nostri Flagship Store; verrà infatti ricreato il
mondo fantastico ed incantato del nostro Secret Garden, ma reinterpretato con la tecnica
esclusiva, innovativa, ed eco-friendly del cartone alveolare.
Ci siamo poi persi, al solito, nel mondo della musica, che ormai lo avrete capito, è parte
integrante non solo del nostro mondo e dei nostri interessi… personali, ma anche del nostro
lavoro… vi parleremo infatti non solo degli eventi europei più importanti dei prossimi mesi, ma
anche di un gruppo che ci sta particolarmente a cuore…
Dall’ultima edizione (Gennaio 2011) ci sono state anche alcune importanti novità e ricorrenze
che abbiamo voluto condividere e celebrare con voi… il lancio delle prime 2 fragranze Patrizia
& Pepe … ed i 150 anni dell’Unità d’Italia… che abbiamo festeggiato con una serie di Accessori
interamente Made in Italy, dalla provenienza delle pelli, alle ultime fasi di confezionamento.

ha letto e selezionato per voi, vi piace? Fateci sapere cosa ne pensate.

12 – 17 April, Salone Internazionale del Mobile - yet another perfect reason to publish another
issue of our Fanzine.
This time we’ve ventured into the world of Milano da Bere with an exceptional contributor, in
the hope of proposing some laid-back itineraries for all the activities going on alongside a visit
to the Salone and FuoriSalone and most of all to give you some pointers on the “coolest” events
by those in the know, like Benedetta.
Then we also thought it’d be useful to explain the origins of the A-M-A-Z-I-N-G A4A designs, our
partner in the FuoriSalone fitting out of our Flagship Stores; in which the spellbinding, fantasy
world of our Secret Garden will be recreated, with a quirky interpretation using exclusive,
innovative and eco-friendly techniques with honeycomb cardboard.
Next, we lose ourselves, again, in the world of music which you have no doubt already twigged is
an fundamental part of our world and our interests... both from a personal and work perspective...
we look not just at the most significant European events over the next few months, but also at
one group that is particularly close to our hearts…
Since our last edition (January 2011) we’ve also had some important news and anniversaries
which we wanted to share and celebrate with you...the launch of our first 2 fragrances, Patrizia
& Pepe...and the 150th anniversary of Italian Unification...which we celebrated with a range
of Made in Italy Accessories, made entirely on Italian soil from sourcing the leather to the final
packaging stages.
A new feature in this edition is our top 10 book list that our friend and writer Luisa, has read and
selected just for you - what do you think? Let us have your thoughts on it.

Il primo Salone del Mobile nasceva nel 1961 da un’idea di un gruppo di
imprenditori e artisti di settore. L’evento era destinato a trasformarsi
negli anni, fino a diventare un appuntamento fisso e riconosciuto a

tendenze di domani, sia nell’ambito dell’arredamento sia del Design.

Si chiama Secret Garden il progetto del brand Patrizia Pepe per il Fuorisalone
2011realizzato in collaborazione con A4Adesign, impresa che associa il valore della
sostenibilità ad un alto contenuto di design e che impiega solo cartone riciclato e riciclabile.
Per gli esclusivi Store milanesi di via Manzoni e via Pontaccio, A4Adesign interpreta
liberamente il concept della collezione di bijoux Insetti. Lavora a una scenografia
sorprendente e dà forma, con un materiale insolito e reinventato, a un allestimento
che esalta i principi ispiratori del brand declinati in chiave immaginifica: la natura che
riprende il suo corso, irrompe nella dimensione urbana e riesce sempre a sorprendere per
spettacolarità e leggerezza.
I macro Insetti di Patrizia Pepe in resine colorate - che animano spille, bracciali, collane,
anelli, orecchini, ciondoli e si prestano a decorare sandali, borse e cinture - planano su
giganteschi fiori in cartone che superano i due metri. Enormi ninfee sfaccettate,

Per Sophie essere profumiere è un po’ come essere filosofo,
è solita raccontarsi la storia del profumo prima di idearlo,
annotando pensieri e sensazioni. Forte in lei la necessità di
ascoltare, la percezione è il centro del suo universo, creando
sinfonie di essenze guidate dall’intuizione e dall’emozione.
La sua storia è contrassegnata dall’incontro con Jean Kerléo,
storico profumiere francese, quando ancora studiava
chimica all’università. Questo il momento indimenticabile
e determinante nella scelta della sua carriera. Senza
saperlo aveva già imboccato la strada giusta. Dopo la
laurea Sophie frequenta la scuola di profumeria Givaudan
a Ginevra e nel 1992 viene assunta all’IFF come profumiere
junior. Sophie ha ricevuto nel 2005 il premio François Coty,

For Sophie being a perfumer is a little bit like being a
philosopher; it’s usually about telling the story behind
the perfume before creating it, taking note of thoughts
and feelings. She strongly believes in the need to listen;
perception is at the centre of her universe, creating
a symphony of essential oils guided by intuition and
emotion.
Her story was marked by an encounter with Jean Kerléo,
the famous French perfumer, while she was still studying
chemistry at university. This was the unforgettable and
determining moment in her choice of future career.
Without realising, she had already embarked in the
right direction. After graduation, Sophie attended the
Givaudan Perfume School in Geneva and in 1992 was
recruited by IFF as a junior perfumer. In 2005, Sophie
received the François Coty Prize, as best creator of
perfumes for the year. She was the first woman to win
the prize.
