A goal is a specific plan of action for the club.
Goals should be:
Written Visualized
real Timely
Specific Manageable
Measurable Reviewed Regularly
Achievable
2
What Is a Goal?
 Visualize yourself attaining
your stated goal.
 Make your visions detailed!
 If you can dream it, you can
make it happen!
3
Start Dreaming
Run your own Race….
4
 Make sure that the goal you are
working for is some thin you
really want to achieve not what
your friend want to achieve.
 Or not just something's that
sound impressive
Lot of people spend
there entire life
trying to achieve
other goal’s &
expectations
Be Positive
 Write your goals in positive instead of the
negative.
 In writing your goals, we create a set of instruction
for our subconscious mind to carry out. The more
positive instruction you give it, the more
positive result you will get.
 There is a saying that “if you are sincerely want
to achieve the something the whole universe
strives to achieve that.”
5
Create your own world
 You become what you think about most of the
time.
 What ever you think about continuously emerges
in your reality.
 Successful people think about what they want and
how to get it most of the time.
 Unsuccessful people think about what they don’t
want most of the time.
6
7
Main Reasons for Goal Setting
 Goals provide direction
 Goals tell you how far you have traveled
 Goals help to make the overall vision attainable
 Goals clarify everyone’s role
 Goals give people something to strive for
Cont…
8
 Ensure that goals are related to your employees
role in the organization.
 Use values to guide behavior.
 Simple goals are better goals.
9
Setting Goals: Less Is More
 Pick two or three goals to focus.
 Pick goals with the greatest importance.
 Focus on goals that tie most closely to the
mission.
 Periodically revisit goals and update them as
necessary
Don’t Just Think It, Ink It
 A written goal is much
more likely to be attained
than an unwritten goal!
 E.g., earn Rs. 5000 per
month. Then living in a
rented house, rented
furniture, Rs. 35000 debt.
After that he came out of
that and he was living in
his own house, own
Mercedes, Rs. 50000
savings in the bank. 10
Cont…
 Harvard Business School – MBA students asked
about there clear written goals for there future –
 3% students had written goals plan, ( earnings 10
times compare to 97 %)
 13 % students had clear goal but not in written & ,
( earnings twice compare to 84 %)
 84 % students had not clear goal.(earnings on an
avg.)
11
The Impact Of Goal Setting
 Specific goals are better than unclear goals
 Difficult / Challenging Goals are better than
relatively easy goals.
 Objective & timely feedback about progress
towards goals is preferable to no feedback.
12
Know your current status
13
% of time
now
% of time
you want
Personal Time
Family Time
Work Time
Leisure Time
Role of Time
 “ To think too long about doing a thing often
becomes its undoing “
 “ The future is purchased by present “
 “ Time is money “
 “ No time like present “
14
Make a Plan of Action
 Long Term Goals: 3-6 months
Examples
 Loose 5% Body Fat in 12 weeks
 My monthly income is 20000 in next Diwali.
 My clients base increase by 200 in 4 months
 Short Term: 1 week to 1 month
Examples
 Loose 1-2% Body Fat within a month
 Complete pending complaint of customers in 2 weeks.
15
Identify Obstacles
 Time
 Motivation
 Facilities
 Fear of Failure
 Fear of Rejection
 No daily plan
 They don’t know How
 They think Goals aren’t
Important
16
Find Inspiration
 Identify what motivates you
 Fill your day with motivating things
17
Where goal setting can go wrong ?
 When goal setting is disorganized
 For example, keep personal and academic goals
separate
 When goals are unrealistic
 For example, becoming a company CEO immediately
after graduation is an unrealistic goal
18
Cont…
 Goals that are ‘beyond’ your control
 For example, winning the lottery is definitely
beyond your control
 When goals are unclear
 For example, “becoming successful” or “becoming a
better student” are not clear goals to work toward.
19
Cont…
 When you set too many goals
 At any one time you should focus on achieving
only three or four goals
20
Goal Setting Steps
 Assess where you are now
 Set SMART goals
 Identify Obstacles
 Make a Plan of Action
 Monitor Progress
21
Assess where you are now
22
Set SMART goals
 Specific – write your goal in complete detail. Instead of writing
‘A new job’, write ‘ A job in Marketing ’
 Measurable - Instead of writing ‘A new job’, write ‘ A job in
Marketing where I will earn monthly Rs.20000’
 Make sure that your goal is high enough . Shoot for the moon , if
you miss you will still be in the stars. But take care that your
goal is Achievable
23
Cont…
 Achievable- if your work experience is in the marketing
then you can not get the job in Technical.
 Realistic – If you are sale manager then you can not
become a centre head in a short time.
 Timely – one should put a dead line. Instead of writing
‘A new job’, write ‘ A job in Marketing where I will
become a regional Sales Manager in a year. ’
24
Create a positive pressure on you.
 Write down your SMART Goals. The more
focused you are on your goals, the more you likely
you will accomplish them.
 Reviewing your goal is daily is a crucial part of
your success.
25
Be Passionate
 Every time you make a decision during the day,
ask your self the day, ask your self this ,” does it
take me closer to further from my goal ?
 Also you sleep before in the night recall what you
have done today to reach closer to your goal
26
Visualize / Picture
 Visualize the complete goal, like,
 See the new office,
 Visualize your visiting card,
 Feel the salary cheque in your hand,
 Then each night, right before you go to bed, repeat
the process.
27
Enjoy the process
 Right your own goal
 Run your own race
 Be positive
 Write SMART goals
 Be passionate
 Create a positive pressure – review your goal
everyday
 Visualize your goal
28
29
Benefits of GoalsBenefits of Goals
 Improves performance
 Increases your motivation to achieve
 Increases your pride and satisfaction
 Improves your self confidence
 Eliminates attitudes that hold you back & cause
unhappiness
Do’s & Don’t
Do’s Don’ts
Visualize your desired outcome Go into your goal with a negative
attitude
Write down your course of action in an
easy step-by-step format that can be
checked off with each achievement
Try to memorize all of the steps as most
will be forgotten
Think positive all the time Don’t think negative.
Be realistic in your setting your goals . Set your goals too high to achieve them
30
Conclusion
 Once you believe that you deserve success and
are solely responsible for the type of life you
create, you are
““UNSTOPPABLE!!!!!!!!”UNSTOPPABLE!!!!!!!!”
