The project was carried out keeping in mind the daily processes related to glassware industry (LA OPALA pvt ltd.) production. The analysis was carried out by Network Scheduling using CPM (Critical Path method). This project enabled me to apply the theoretical studies in practical application. It helped me to get an complete overview of modern day scenario and how the problems are tackled and the solutions are brought into application

2. Abstract:
The case study is being carried out from the data made available
by LA OPALA Glassware industry situated at Madhupur in
Deoghar, Jharkhand.
Study is based on the daily production processes taking place in
the industry.
Case study is based on Network scheduling and critical path
method(CPM) technique is used to solve the problem.
It is a step by step process to find out the critical path which
determine the time required to produce glass product.
The main aim is to reduce the production time and gain the
maximum profit to survive competition in modern day scenario.

3. Methodology:
Problem statement:
There are around 15 -20 steps involved in the production of a
finished glassware product from raw materials.
Some of the steps are relatively insignificant as compared to
others.
The problem is to find out the longest path that includes all
the necessary processes.
Solution:
Network scheduling is being used to solve the problem.

4. Network design
•The critical path method (CPM) is used to find the
solution of this Network scheduling problem.
•It determines the longest path that includes all the
necessary production processes.

5. Results and Discussions:
Result:
The critical path is found out to be 1-2-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-11-
12-13-14-15-16-17-18.
The critical length of duration is: 793 min.
Discussions:
All the techniques applied in any industry results is based on
maximum production in minimum time.
To optimize the model the manufactures need to carry out
more no. of processes simultaneously.
Projects having independent activities are better suited to the
network scheduling technique.
6. Conclusion:
The case study was carried out keeping in mind the daily
production activities taking place at LA OPALA glassware
industry.
The analysis was carried out using by Network scheduling
using CPM technique.
The case study has enabled me to apply the theoretical
studies in real time industrial scenario.
The study provides an overview of modern day industrial
scenario and how the day to day problems are being tackled
and solutions are brought to application.
