UNDER REPUBLIC
The Philippine Republic, founded in 1946 after the end
of WWII. The Tydings-McDuffie Law of 1934 stipulated
that the Philippines will be an independent republic by
July 4, 1946. To secure the new republics alliance with
the US after its independence was granted a series of
treaties and agreements were signed, and these
strengthened the ties between the two countries.
