With this work, we intend to give you an
overall perspective of this decade and the
most important events that occurred
between 1990 and 1999.
In this presentation we’ll share aspects
related to economy, politics and war, arts,
culture (mainly music and TV shows) and
society.

3. Economical Perspective
Many countries, institutions and organizations were
prosperous during the 1990s.
High-income countries such as the United States, Japan,
Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, and those in
Western Europe experienced steady economic growth for
much of the decade.

major inflation and economic chaos;
1990 – Russia's transition towards a capitalist free
market;
1992 – booming of the US stock market;
1999 – the Euro was adopted on January 1st (in
