• Concentration Funding
• Based on the premise that high concentrations of English
learners and Low income students present an even greater
challenge for school districts.
• Concentration funding is allocated to districts with an
unduplicated count of over 55%
• Preliminary data lists CNUSD’s unduplicated count at
45.8%
5. Local Control Accountability Plan
• EC 52060 states that on or before July 1, 2014, the
governing board of each school district shall adopt a
Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP). The LCAP
shall be in effect for three years, and shall be updated
annually. A steering committee must be formed to
assist in an advisory role in the development of the
LCAP.
6. Local Control Accountability Plan
• The public must be given an opportunity to submit
written comments regarding the specific actions and
expenditures included in the plan.
• A Public Hearing must be held on the LCAP to solicit
recommendations and comments.
• The governing board shall adopt a LCAP in a public
meeting during which time the Board adopts the annual
budget.

December 2013 to May 2014 - LCAP Steering Committee will hold seven (7) meetings
February – March 2014 – LCAP public survey and school site meetings to gather public
input.
February – March 2014 – Student focus group meetings will be held to gather input.
Late March – Early April 2014 - LCAP Writing Team will assemble to create the DRAFT LCAP
document.
April 9, 2014 – LCAP presentation to the CNUSD District Advisory Committee
April 11, 2014 – LCAP presentation to the CNUSD District English Learner Advisory
Committee.
May 6, 2014 – LCAP Public Hearing at the CNUSD Board of Education meeting.
June 17, 2014 – LCAP approval by the Board of Education.
June 30, 2014 - Submit the LCAP to Riverside County Office of Education for approval.
8. CNUSD LCAP Steering Committee
• Purpose - to review and analyze data leading
to the identification of the LCAP priorities.
• District staff will write the LCAP document
which will be shared with the LCAP Steering
Committee for review and comment.
