Climate change is the greatest environmental challenge facing the world today. Rising global temperatures will bring changes in weather patterns, rising sea levels and increased frequency and intensity of extreme weather. Do we just fold our hands? Have thought of the childrens future? Look straight in their eyes and tell them you do care. If you do then act now! When now! How? Spread the message CLIMATE CHANGE IS REAL. After 40 years of environmental negotiations and the recent inconclusive results of Rio+20, there is an expanding consensus that the current negotiation model composed of a series of subsequent summits and conferences of the parties under the United Nations umbrella has been exhausted. This deadlock lead to a perception that real change is a “political impossibility” and inevitably installed a sense of fatalism. It is starting to be clear that the main obstacle that we are facing is not technological but consists of the construction of a new juridical-economic structure that is able to provide an answer to the global and structural dimension of the current crisis. Within this context, the Common Heritage of Mankind continues to be the only structure that can offer an international juridical framework capable of regulating goods that take us to a dimension of the human condition found outside the material realm, but which does involve the whole of humanity. The proposal to configure the climate system as common to the whole of humanity could serve as a basis to resolve a series of complex operational problems. These include the lack of intergenerational reach of Law that deals with new global phenomena or the global dispersion of positive and negative externalities of countries that affect the common system. The proposed classification would enable accounting and governance of externalities between countries, taking into consideration the actions of past generation and the rights of future ones. The first step consists of finding out how to describe this juridical object, which finds itself both outside and inside of all states, and how to measure and consequently attribute it to someone. This immaterial and intangible nature is that what really unites us all and turns us all global neighbors. The creation of a new Intangible Natural Heritage relative to the climate and ocean systems of which the owner should be all of humanity serves as the structural support that we propose to construct a new economy. http://www.earth-condominium.org/en/conference/earth-condominium-conference/

1. Describe why climate change is an evolving practice and concept of Environmental Health. What are two (2) examples of how climate change is related to and impacts Environmental Health? Describe how you view your role in communicating this complex environmental issue to your patients/stakeholders/community. Use only the space provided below (i.e. Pgs. 1 & 2). WHY CLIMATE CHANGE IS AN EVOLVING PART OF ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH. Climate change is an evolving practice owing to the ever-changing challenges that it presents – like what challenges????. Increasing temperatures, extreme weather events and rising sea levels all pose environmental health challenges….. In spite of the fact that the climate is changing, there are a lot of new emerging issues (increasing temperatures and rising sea levels) that may render previous studies useless (McMichael, 2013). The ability to keep abreast with climate change therefore requires a dynamic approach that adapts to the current issues. Climate change is an indisputable fact, and our health will be affected by it. Fortunately, society is becoming aware of this serious problem, and the answer should be together, individually and collectively. The way in which we have to deal with the climate change in the coming years will determine whether it has either a greater or else lesser impact on our health (McMichael, 2013). TWO EXAMPLES OF HOW CLIMATE CHANGE IMPACTS ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH. During the past few years, The repercussions of climate change go beyond the purely socio-economicit has shown that climate change is a reality that affects health. Its repercussions are beyond the purely socio-economic and political dimensions, and we are beginning to be aware of the potential impact on human health. We are constantly exposed to pollution that may be detrimental to our health, both immediately and long term. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), about 23% of deaths occurring in the world are related in some way to the environmental health issues (McMichael, 2013). For instance, Cholera: The so-called 'disease of the poor' is a disorder caused by the bacterium Vibrio cholerae, 'which is very easily transmitted by contaminated water and food. Restricted to developing countries, the widespread increase in water temperatures anticipates an increase in the incidence of this disease, which is characterized by severe vomiting, cramps and diarrhea and can even cause death. In addition, diseases arising from malnutrition are also on the rise owing to the lack of favorable climate to sustain the growing of various crops that supply the nutrients. Therefore, the human being is left to evolve to stop attacking the environment in which they live and by being able to manage climate change. . HOW ENVH PRACTITIONERS COMMUNICATE CLIMATE-RELATED INFO TO THE PUBLIC. The environment determines the health not only of individuals but also of communities. Eonomics of Gender and Development sees a connection between exploitation and degradation of the natural world and the subordination and oppression of women. Ecofeminism emerged in the mid-1970s alongside second-wave feminism and the green movement. Ecofeminism brings together elements of the feminist and green movements, while offering a challenge to both. It takes from the green movement concern about the impact of human activities on the non-human world, and from feminism the view of humanity as gendered in ways that subordinate, exploit and oppress women. It is both an activist and academic movement which sees critical connections between the domination of nature and the exploitation of women. Ecofeminist activism grew during the 1980s and 1990s among women from the anti-nuclear, environmental and women’s rights movements.

Running Head: CLIMATE CHANGE 1 CLIMATE CHANGE 8 Climate Change Heather Hale Rasmussen College Author Note This paper is being submitted on March 20, 2016, for James Marinello’s G328/EVR3410 Human Uses of the Environment course. Climate change is amongst the major environmental controversies there are. Several nations have addressed it, and most of them have failed. Climate change has been brought about by increased over pollution activities of people. However, this being amongst the minor causes, there are other to be taken care of. The United Nations has tried applying stringent measures to curb this, but it has shown no results. However, our population continues to increase day by day thus being a key contributing factor to climate change. From studies conducted before this, climate change can only be decreased by eradicating all the other controversies that exist. Comment by James Marinello: Out of all the major environmental controversies, climate change is one of the most discussed and debated in all forums. Comment by James Marinello: Grammar a little choppy. Comment by James Marinello: You need to clarify this further. I do not understand what you are trying to say. This controversy has become a threat to many governments since it is more than they can handle. The carrying capacity of a nation is always crucial to the government, and when a certain limit is broken, there are some tougher economic times to be expected. Climate change leads not only to the economic crisis, but it also plays a significant role in environmental degradation and most of all, human’s nature degradation. The reason as to why there is pollution can be all rooted back to overpopulation. So does unemployment, lack of enough resources, deforestation, amongst others. Also, unless there are stricter and faster measures to deal with this, the future is also at risk. Comment by James Marinello: Missing citations? According to the study conducted, climate change mostly refers to the overall relationship between the human species and the environment or nature (EDF, 2014). There are many reasons as to why climate change has come to be as discussed earlier. Since most of the earth are subdivided into nations, the controversy becomes more complicated. That is because each government has to come up with their means on which to eradicate or even reduce the currents problems they are facing. Some will work while some will not, therefore, making the planet un-even. This is what brings out risks of starvation, droughts of which are often claimed to be acts of nature. Comment by James Marinello: I don’t understand what you are trying to say. Organizations like NASA are on the forefront to ensure that climate change does not end up destroying the whole world. There are many outcomes that can be achieved by a change in the climate such as droughts therefore starvation. A st ...

The Last Leaf is a short story by the American writer O. Henry (1862-1910) commonly known in the history of American literature as "the author of surprise ending". It tells the story of an old artist who saves the life of a young neighbouring artist, who is seriously ill and dying, by giving her the will to live. O. Henry knew people very well, especially the ordinary people of New York. In his stories you can feel satirical criticism of the American way of life. Most of his short stories are full of warm sympathy for ordinary American people.

Methods of Software Testing There are two basic methods of performing software testing: 1. Manual testing 2. Automated testing Manual Software Testing As the name would imply, manual software testing is the process of an individual or individuals manually testing software. This can take the form of navigating user interfaces, submitting information, or even trying to hack the software or underlying database. As one might presume, manual software testing is labor-intensive and slow.

Size separation, or sieving, is a technique to segregate particles by size, vital in pharmaceuticals, food processing, and mining. Methods include sieving (particles pass through mesh sieves), sedimentation (based on settling velocities in fluid), cyclone separation (using centrifugal forces), and filtration (using barriers with specific pore sizes). Applications range from ensuring uniform drug formulations to grading grains and extracting minerals. Size separation offers efficiency, precision, and versatility, making it essential for quality control and consistency across various industries.
