2. New VS OldNew VS Old
In this magazine i will be showing and talk-
ing about the advancement of games and how
games first start ot what we currently have
today. Also how the games them self have
changed like for example what amount of effort
and time gose into a game now from when the
first ganes started also how companys have
been bilt up to become named gaming brands
for console and how they compet with other
big companys. Also we will be talking about
how games started from how simple there first
was how much of a big deal there are know and
how much effort and time gose in to maiking a
modern day game. Also i will be compare the
success rate of some views because everyone
has different opinions and some people like
modrn games and some people like to play vin-
tage games and whats the difference between
the consoles that the games are run off from
modern day to vintage consoles. The first every
majoir console to come out was the atari it was
made in 1977 and it sold 30 million copys of
it because in them days this was the first game
console witch was a big deal so everyone had to
have one also it shows how tech was evoling the
memory of it was 128 bytes of RAM witch seem
like alot back then and it had 4 KB of memory
and instead of a normal controller like we are
all usec to u had to play with a joy stick. Then
from this company that had started the games
off started everyone off to make games and
cons oles.
lAll vintage consoles was realsed and made to be-
come very popular like when Saga realesed there
own console also Super nintendo amd everyone
remembers the games cube from Atri making there
own game it made a chain reaction on the rest of the
world to make games and consoles then they can sell
it to the world. Other companys saw how big and
how many copys atrai made that they was inspired
everyone to make there own games bigger and better.
Since then modern day consoles the most up to date
consoles are the Xbox one and Playstation 4 these
two companys have had other cosoles in the past
and work there way up and they are two of top rivals
of this time and era. Also how to control the games
have changed aswell came from joy sticks to control-
lers motion activated controllers and you can even
use your own body as a controller if you like know.
From the one of the games that was realsed on the
atrai in 1980 called pack man this one mans idea and
he was called Toru Iwatani and he hired nine more
people to make this little arcade game and it was
done within a year whereas games knower days are
more complex and mire time consumming. Where
as some of the games knower days are differnt it can
take on average 70 to 90 people working on a games
and it takes years to make it perfect and to complete
it all but they sell billions of copys of these games.
One of the new consoles are the Xbox one and the
mermory and storage is a lot more then the atrai iot
has got 8 GB DDR3 witch is a big difference to the
atrai but the games take more stoage up then the
older games like pac man.
