7. Online Terminology Page Views - Is the number of times the internet site and its channels have been viewed. In media terms it determines the number of page views a site received per month. Unique Visitors - Individual visitors to a website who is counted as a single visitor irrespective of the number of times he or she revisits the site. Websites usually rely on some type of user identification (such a user registration with a unique password) or an identifying code (called a 'cookie') that attaches to the user's browser in order to determine the unique number Impressions - The number of times a banner ad was requested and presumably seen by users.
