2. My questions
• These are the
questions that I
asked.
• These questions
will help me
understand what
these people
specifically enjoy
about horror films
and what gets to
each different
type of person.
3. Purpose of my research
• The purpose of conducting research like this is to attempt to
understand the people who watched the film and what appeals
to them.
• Conducting this research can prove valuable, as the creators
can use it to tailor a movie to their audiences’ liking and include
the kind of interests and elements that entertain or scare them.
• All of these demographics have to be understood to know what
kind of things will be appreciated by the viewer and what will be
criticized and not enjoyed. For example – a funny line of
dialogue may appeal to a younger person, but not an older
viewer.
• All of this matters because it determines whether the audience
member will continue watching the film or turn it off.
