Consumer behaviour is the study of how individual
customers, groups or organizations select, buy, use,
and dispose ideas, goods, and services to satisfy
their needs and wants. It refers to the actions of the
consumers in the marketplace and the underlying
motives for those actions.
The study of consumer behaviour assumes that the
consumers are actors in the marketplace.The per-
spective of role theory assumes that consumers play
various roles in the marketplace. Starting from the

decision process.

of a complex buying behavior.
2. Dissonance-reducing buying behavior
The consumer is highly involved in the purchase process but has

price and convenience, but after the purchase, you will seek
confirmation that you’ve made the right choice.

In this situation, a consumer purchases a
different product not because they weren’t
