3. History
Established in 2005, the company was able to draw on 15 years of experience of its
managing director in the field of Search and Rescue and satellite tracking
technologies.
Philippe Winum is a graduate of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de l’Aéronautique et
de l’Espace (the French National Institute for Aeronautics and Space - better known
as « Sup’Aéro ») and he passed a « Master’s of Science » in aerospace electronics.
He is the « father » of one of the very first french made ELT and he can reasonably
claim to have generalized the use of personal locator beacons through the
implementation of an experimental rental service: www.oscoor.com.
Since 2008, the researches have been focusing on tracking technologies (mainly
satellite based). An internet platform was designed with the aim to develop “behavior
analysis algorithms” in order to automatically generate alerts (geoalert).
