Objective
To make the team to
understand the progress made
know the plan for the next 24 hours
know the impediments that the team face
To create more transparency among the team members
3. Daily Scrum - Participants
All the members committed for the iteration
All others who are interested in the progress of the
project
Only the committed persons are allowed to talk in
the scrum
The team members
Scrum master
Product owner – participation is not mandatory
All others irrespective of their designation in the
organization are not allowed to talk in the scrum
meeting
4. Daily Scrum - Plan
Meeting happens daily
At the same time
At the same place
The duration of the meeting will be maximum of fifteen minutes
Normally the meetings happens daily in the morning. If the team
works from multiple location of the globe, a time convenient to all
are decided and followed
Recommended
The team need not wait for any of the member to start the scrum
It is ideal to have the team size participating in the scrum as 7 +/- 2.
(i.e. : 5 to 9)
If the team size is more, the team may be splitted into small teams,
each team may have their scrum, and representative of each team
will have scrum of scrum

All the members has to answer the following three
questions

What is my planning for the next 24 hours?
Any impediments I come across
7. Daily Scrum - Proceedings
All the members assemble in the predefined date and
time
Answer to the predefined three questions
No technical issues are discussed. If a technical
discussion is needed, a meeting my be called after
finishing the scrum meeting

People are made self committed
Uniform understanding among all the team
members
As it happened at the same time without waiting for
anyone, indirectly informs that all are treated equally
Indirectly helps to close the impediments at the
earliest
