Analysis Of Lincoln Electric Organizational Culture
Analysis of Lincoln Electric organizational culture Lincoln Electric was founded at the end of the
19 th century by John C. Lincoln. He was a talented engineer who invested 200 dollars in his
product electrical motors. Soon he was replaced by his younger brother James F. Lincoln, and the
founder of Lincoln Electric dedicated his time to engineering activities and inventions. James F.
Lincoln was a different type of inventor. He was a good manager with the nice strategic point of
view over manufacturing. At the beginning of the 20th century, the company started manufacturing
welding machines which become their iconic product. That is not the only thing Lincoln electric
became famous for. The incentive management plan was one of a kind at that time and was the
first step of creating company culture with a high focus on the employees, something unheard
among the other manufacturers at that time of the century. Both Lincoln brothers were inventors
and this was crucial for the earlier company development. Both were pioneers and the vision and
the mission that was integrated especially from James Lincoln played a major role in the dramatic
company development during the World War II. The start of the pioneering in the management
was the creation of an advisory board from elected employees. The advisory board had meetings
twice a month during which they made the voice of the employees be heard. For about a decade
many changes become effective and the working conditions changed

Summary Of Freeman Basson And Crighton
The purpose of the Freeman, Basson, and Crighton study published in the Lancet was to test the
effectiveness of real electroconvulsive therapy compared to simulated electroconvulsive therapy in
the treatment of a depressive illness using a randomized controlled trial.
A total of 40 patients from four acute units of the Royal Edinburgh Hospital took part in the trial.
All subjects were assessed to determine eligibility and then randomly allocated into two groups in
which the experimental group would be given real ECT and the control group would undergo
simulated ECT. The experimental group (group R) received ECT bilaterally twice a week from a
machine that delivered sine wave currents. The control group (group S) received simulated ECT

What I Want To Do When You Stand Out To You Essay
Hey guys, so today if you re in Cook s classes you know that we did this awesome game called
Walk the Line. It s questions that you can either agree or disagree to and explain your reasoning.
Well the last day for them was today, and one question really stood out to me. It was Anyone can
succeed if you work hard enough. I totally agree with this statement because of my own personal
experiences and the famous motivational speaker, Eric Thomas who has inspired me to push to my
limits to become a better me. When you wantto change and become that better person you ve
always strived to be, YOU WILL GO TO THE BRIM OF LIMITS TO GET THERE. So many
people say that even if you do work hard enough you won t succeed. But in my opinion, that s
totally a lie. I m talking as if for example, I wanted to become a doctor. I know that ... Show more

need of doctors so I can just start off at the lowest stage then eventually work my way to the top.
I know life doesn t just hand you awards so I will be on the highest lookout for great
opportunities. I will do my best, put 150% of my devotion to make sure I m successful so I can

The article was about one of the most brought up topics recently in cars. Which is the evolution
of cars in which they are programed to be able to operate themselves. Or As the article suggested

how they can get distracted easily. For example one question asked Might the driver choose to
speed up as he approaches a yellow light at an intersection, in order to avoid stopping short when
the red light comes on . They start asking these questions so that the reading can understand what
the average driver thinks during a drive. After the questions end they start to compare the
driverless car to your standard driver. They state how every decision made on the road has a

what the driver sees they only see numbers to protect the driver not the child or parent in front of
them. Though it can now see baby strollers, shopping carts, plastic bags, and actual boulders they
are still not good enough for the safety of others. To support this claim they have stated, Many of
the challenging scenarios that the autonomous car confront could depend on these distinctions, but
many others are problematic exactly because there s uncertainty about what an object is or how
many people are involved in a possible crash scenario, Lin says. Then they end the section with the

Descriptive Essay About Kiss
You were shocked by his actions. You never dated anyone nor had experiences in kissing,
excluding the ones Luhan gave you but you could tell it wasn t a kiss of lust or of any sort. It was
a kiss pure of emotions and love, but you didn t know that.
Which guy would be willing to calm down his hormones and not jump right there, right then on
the girl beside him, on the same bed and almost half naked? It took all his willpower not to
pounce on you since after all, he was a man and he had needs. He was at the age where his raging
hormones were at its most active, but his love and respect for you were overpowering his
selfishness.
Kisses with Luhan were always on the cheek or stolen kisses on the lips. He was the one who
always initiated it. At first, it was awkward but you grew used to it as unusual as it sounded. You
didn t feel uncomfortable with his kisses they were always sweet. Your kisses weren t that many
but they were meaningful.
Luhan hesitantly pulled away and looked at you. You wanted to ask him what the kisswas for, but
you didn t want to be awkward around him. One thing you were sure of, it was sincere. You
looked at him waiting for his next move and you received a warm kiss on your forehead.
You knew something was bothering him, but you didn t know why he was acting that way. Then it
hit you, *maybe he needed comfort*. Really? Comfort a guy by kisses and hugs? You weren t

To critically appraise different types of research a group of questions called users guide have

extent to which bias might have crept consciously or unconsciously into the study, the result and
their variability, and finally the application of the study result on the practice should be considered.

asthma severity of children aged 7 17 and parental quality of life. The study addressed a problem

Minimalism, Maya Lin and Vietnam Memorial Essay
Minimalism, Maya Lin and Vietnam Memorial Discussion
Minimal art is characterized by its simplicity in both form and content, where personal expression is
removed in order to achieve this. The intention of minimalist artists is to allow the audience to view
a composition more intensely because the distractions of theme etc. have been removed .
Minimalism can be detected as early as the 18th century where the artist Goethe constructed an
Alatar of Good Fortune that consisted of a stone sphere and a cube. In addition, in the 1920 s artists
such as Malevich and Duchamp created works that suggested at minimalist intentions. The
Minimalist movement is similar to Conceptual Art in that the outcome is used to express a theory.

3) War memorial is a commemorative object, something intended to remind us of the people who
have served and died in and because of war. People may argue over which is the best form for a
war memorial, and whether war memorials should serve the further purpose of contributing to the
prevention of future wars. They may debate a particular memorial s artistic merit, its cost or its
location. However, common to all war memorials remains the intention that they serve as a
reminder to us of those we have lost to war.
4) I think Yad Vashem is the most effective and touching memorial. The displays are moving and
empowering. The Avenue of the Righteous reminds the world that there is always a faithful
remnant of good people and that because there were so few, we need to do more to vouch safe the
world. The educational programs and sites are rich with meaning and designed to give focus and
inspire healthy memory and renewed commitment to creating a just world.
5) The main problem is there is lack of American Symbols like flag, red amp; white colors, and
flowers. The memorial only focuses on people who died but I think this should be the purpose of a
memorial not patriotism or nationalistic ideas. (Check: http://www.usvetdsp.com

Terror Management Theory Essay example
Terror management theory (TMT) asserts that human beings have natural tendency for self
preservation if there is threat to one s well being (Greenberg, Solomon, Pyszczynski, 1997). It
notes that we are the cultural animals that pose self awareness on the concept of past and future, as
well as the understanding that one day we will die. We concern about our life and death but aware
that it is unexpected by everything. The worse matter is that we become aware of our vulnerability
and helplessness when facing death related thoughts and ultimate demise (Pyszczynski Greenberg,
1992). The inevitable death awareness or mortality salience provides a ground for experiencing the
existential terror, which is the overwhelming concern of people s... Show more content on

We react to the death concerns through the acquisition and maintenance of self esteem. Empirical
evidences have established the association between self esteem and cultural worldview. It showed
that individuals with strong culture worldviews have higher self esteem (Solomon, Greenberg,
Pyszczynski, 1991). On the other hand, the research suggested that self esteem is able to serve a
death denying function. If someone is being asked to think about their own death, it would
increase their need for the protection affords by the cultural worldview and the self worth derived
from it (Harmon Jones, Greenberg, Pyszczynski, Solomon, McGregor, 1997). Based on this
presumption, TMT derives a hypothesis anxiety buffer hypothesis, suggesting that self esteem
serves as an anxiety buffer against the mortality salience (Pyszczynski et al., 1999). Anxiety buffer
hypothesis posits that self esteem is an emotional buffer to defend against anxiety (Solomon et al.,
1991). There are several significant evidences to support the claim that self esteem serves as an
anxiety buffer function. First of all, there are large literature review indicated that self esteem is
negatively correlated with various measures of anxiety and the physical and psychological
consequences of anxiety. Leary and Downs (1995) demonstrated that

in an extra strong nucleus, a proton in a nucleus may additionally seize an electron from the atom

Proton decay, neutron decay, and electron capture are 3 ways in which protons may be modified

Grizzly Man Sparknotes
Werner Herzog is arguably one of the most creative and innovative directors of our time. He has
produced many pictures over the past few decades ranging from a documentary on Antarctica s
beauty, to a short series on death row inmates. Herzog gained recognition as a German director in
the late 70 s to early 80 s for films like Signs of Life and Fitzcarraldo, receiving much critical
acclaim. Since then he has released many box office hits like Grizzly Manand Recscue dawn, based
on the true story of Dieter Dengler. Grizzly Man, released in 2006, is about the tragic death of an
eccentric wild life activist named Timothy Treadwell. This analysis will examine the validity to the
indexical and interpretive material in Grizzly Man. Herzog uses original Timothy Treadwell
footage as well as personal interviews to represent the reality he perceives, using the reflexive and
performative modes in the documentary. Although it is impossible to show the entire picture of
Timothys story, there is enough information provided to support Herzogs position revealed at the
end. Without Treadwell alive to speak for himself, the film remains balanced through the many
interviews of people in his life.
The film starts out with Treadwells original footage of him talking to the camera. In the
background are two huge bears, at a fairly distant but still frightening distance. He is alone in the
Alaskan wilderness speaking to the camera about his love for bears, saying that he is there just to

Prominent for their work in the 1970s Andrew Goldsmith and Robert Smithson when they
presented their unique brands of art styles to the public. Considered Postmodern artists due to their
unconventional working methods and uses of non traditional materials. Both artists use nature and
natural elements as media in their work as well as often presenting their art in unconventional
places.
Protests on the treatment and preservation of the environment were prominent in the 1970s ,
reflecting in the art of the generation. Focusing mostly on environmental deterioration and the
human role in that destruction. The two artist express their art from two different sides,

Scientific Lens
Anything that can be explained by science is treated as a known truth. There is a bias within the
scientific community based on the assumption that the public is uninformed, and scientist are
purveyors of facts (Bartell 7). Science and folklore have typically had a tumultuous relationship as
the scientific community attempts to re interpret phenomena previously explained by folklore and
/or supernatural mysticism as logical results of scientifically understood processes (Jordan 8). The
goal of interpreting the supernatural through a scientific lens is reflected in popular culture. I
believe that film and television mix sciencewith supernatural themes because science is such a

may be viewed as nonsense or irrational and grounds it in modern society. Eaton writes that [o]n

Essay on Herbert Hoover
Herbert Hoover
Herbert Hoover called it a noble experiment. Organized crime found it to be the opportunity of a
lifetime. Millions of Americans denounced it as an infringement of their rights. For nearly 14 years
from Jan. 29, 1920, until Dec. 5, 1933 the manufacture, transportation, and sale of alcoholic
beverages was illegal in the United States. The 18th, or Prohibition, Amendment to the Constitution
was passed by Congress and submitted to the states in 1917. By Jan. 29, 1919, it had been ratified.
Enforcement legislation entitled the National Prohibition Act (or more popularly, the Volstead act,
after Representative Andrew J. Volstead of Minnesota) was passed on Oct. 28, 1919, over
President Woodrow Wilsons veto.

Called the 15 gallon law, it prohibited the sale of alcohol in amounts of less than 15 gallons (57
liters). This limited the sale of alcohol to the wealthy. In 1846 Maine passed the first state
Prohibition law. By the mid 1850s 13 states had such laws, but by 1863 all except Maine had
repealed them.
Two major temperance organizations emerged in the decade after the Civil War. The National
Prohibition party was founded in 1869 and the Woman s Christian Temperance Union (WCTU) in
1874. Partly through their efforts six states adopted Prohibition by 1890. The strongest force behind
the movement for national Prohibition, however, was the Anti Saloon League, founded in 1893.
Unlike the Prohibition party, it did not put up candidates for public office. Instead it worked for or
against Democratic and Republican candidates, depending on their attitude toward drinking. The
league was successful in getting 33 states to pass restrictive legislation by 1920.
Forces favoring Prohibition represented a reaction against changes that were taking place in the
United States. Rural and small town values were being challenged by rapidly industrializing cities.
Millions of new immigrants mostly Roman Catholics from Eastern and Southern Europe were
viewed as a threat by the Protestant majority. Prohibition was an attempt to reassert what were

The Presidential Debate At Longwood University Essay
The Vice Presidential debate, held at Longwood University on October 4th, was between the
Democratic candidate, U.S. Senator Tim Kaine, and Republican candidate, Indiana Governor Mike
Pence. Specific issues were asked about by the moderator, Elaine Quijano, such as specific qualities
of the candidates that would make them good leaders if tragedy were to occur. However, the
candidates used much of their allotted time to target the opposing presidential candidate and would
then interrupt their opponent multiple times throughout their answer. Comparing the citizenship
qualification of the United Statesto Germany may be helpful in solving the current immigration
problems facing our country. The Vice Presidential debate showed the differences in opinion on
immigration; the Republican campaign looks to build on the current enforcement only policies and
the Democratic campaign seeks to secure the country while attempting to help immigrants and their
families.
The Republican candidate, Donald Trump, has shown an openly negative opinion of immigration,
specifically of Muslims and Mexicans. The common remark people remember is Trump s

The visual of the song begins with a destroyed flower representing unattractiveness. It goes on
with young people and adults half naked signifying the insecurity they have about themselves
and their bodies. There are different actors representing different situations people go through.
An anorexic girl looking at herself in the mirror is shown. She stares at herself for a while and as
the song goes on she ends up breaking the mirror. The mirror represents the view other people
see when looking at her, the reason why she broke the mirror was to finally feel like she
accepted herself as she is. A gay couple is shown together and everyone that passes by stares at
them. They realize they are silently being judged but do not pay attention. They start to kiss in
public without caring about the judgmental stares they are receiving. Another character presented
is a man wanting to bring out his feminine side without hesitation. In the end he puts on his
feminine clothing and wig. He expresses himself by being feminine even after hesitating whether
or not to get dressed as a woman. Many more characters are presented to represent the different
people who are mistreated for being different. Everyone smiles in the end and there is a sense of

The Responsibilities of Athletic Trainers
Athletic trainers have a variety of responsibilities included in their job description. They provide
clinical diagnosis, rehabilitation therapy, and emergency care (CITE). Athletic trainers are often
confused with personal trainers, because most people associate both careers with athletes.
However, athletic trainers work in the field of physical medicine unlike personal trainers. For the
most part, athletic trainers must have people skills and an overall enjoyment of helping others.
Since they treat a wide range of patients, athletic trainers must be able to relate to all types of
people. They must have an expert knowledge of the human anatomy and also be able to think in a
cause and effect manner when diagnosing injuries.
Career Opportunities
There are a lot of job opportunities available as an athletic trainer depending on the area of the
field the individual wants to work in. Many athletic trainers want to work with sports teams at the
high school, collegiate and professional level. Athletic trainers are a necessity in all sports,
making their skill set a high demand. The employment projection for athletic trainers shows an
increase in the next ten years of over 6% (CITE). There is not a strong regional difference in job
opportunities for athletic trainers. Their skills are needed in every part of the country where
athletic competition is taking place.
Salary Ranges Paragraph In the past three years, athletic training has risen in nearly every category

The Powerful Use Of Abuse In Sweat By Zora Neale Hurston
Sweat Looka heah, Sykes, you done gone too fur. Ah been married to you fur fifteen years, and
Ah been takin in washin for fifteen years. Sweat, sweat, sweat! Work and sweat, cry and sweat,
pray and sweat! Does living with abuse help you gain the strength to become a stronger woman?
Also, when does enough become enough? Such a quote is found in Zora Neale Hurstons short story,
Sweat . This quote expresses the discussion theme better than any story that has ever been told
before about abuse that is endured during a relationship. This quote helped me realize many
different things that women tend to go through in a relationship. A lot of times women take abuse,
whether it is physical, mental or emotional abuse. Society also tends to put women in a category
that is beneath a man, which may give a man the thought of him having power over women, but in
actual reality this is called abuse. The definition of abuse is the improper use of something, and that
is exactly what is happening to Delia in Sweat .
Zora Neale Hurston was considered one of the pre eminent writers of twentieth century African
American literature. Hurston was closely associated with the Harlem Renaissance. She has also
influenced writers such as Ralph Ellison, Toni Morrison, Gayle Jones, Alice Walker, and Toni
Cade Bambara. Looking at her work, it can be found to be read as a work of feminist fiction, but
it is not why you would think it would be. The quote also possess that the character is faced with

Wholesome Hamburger Company Case Study
Business Ethical Dilemma
California is facing a big drought which is affecting society as a whole as well as business.
People are being advised to preserve the water and used as less as possible. Water is a limited
resource which cost will increase for the society because of the drought. However, Wholesome
Hamburger Company s water resource is allocated by the government, giving the company the
privilege of not increasing the cost of water supply for the business. In other words, the company
will not incur an extra expense which could affect the business profit.

This strategy will benefit the company as well as the society as a whole. Every company has to
consider the corporate social responsibility. According to Hollender Fenichell, Corporate Social
Responsibility is: an ongoing commitment by business to behave ethically and to contribute to
economic development when demonstrating respect for people, communities, society at large, and
the environment. In other words, Wholesome Hamburger Company is behaving ethically by
saving as much water as possible, because they are taking into consideration the needs of the
society as well as the importance of preserving water, which is a limited environmental resource.
When a firm is social responsible, customers as well as employees develop a strong loyalty to the
company. If we implement the executive suggestion of ignoring the water drought because it will
not affect the company expense. It will show that the company is not socially responsible. This will
result into loosing customers and valuable employees.
Moreover, every time that a company take a decision need to consider long tern consequences. If
Wholesome Hamburger Company continue using the same amount of water, the company in the
long run will be affected. The more water they used, the less water resource that will be available.
Then, in the future, the company will have to pay more for the same amount of water. This will
increase the expenses of the company and decrease the company profit. As a result, society and the
environment will be

Essay On Prions
Deactivation of Prions in the Healthcare Setting Prions are infectious agents composed entirely of
a protein material which is transmissible to other prion proteins leading to disease in a manner that

Orthodontic Research
The first idea of orthodontics has come when finger pressure manifested tooth movement. With the
development of this branch of dentistry, there is constant research to create appliances which can
move teeth ideally
This has led clinicians trying to specify many appliances able to move the teeth, most of them
include wires. Wires in many shapes, sizes, and materials (metallic alloys) are typically part of the
orthodontist s inventory.
Wires, and auxiliaries fabricated from wire (helical closed coiled and open coiled, uprighting, and
rotating springs) can make dental displacements through delivering force or simply through carry
force from one location to another within the dentofacial complex. It also may prevent unwanted
tooth movement.

The Success of the Bolsheviks in Gaining Power in Russia by 1922
In February 1917, the Bolshevik party was small and irrelevant. The leadership was abroad and
there was little consistency of purpose among the party in Russia. However, by the summer of
1922, the Bolsheviks had become the dominant force, and a new communist state had emerged
from their success. The purpose of this essay is to explain this transformation.
The abdication of Tsar Nicholas II and the collapse of the Romanov dynasty threw Russiainto a

out of a sense of loyalty to Britain and France. In addition, they were reluctant to leave the war
without salvaging some prestige and pride from the current situation. They were still hopeful of an
allied victory. However, the decision to continue with the war was to prove extremely unfortunate.
It was unpopular, as there appeared to be few aims to the continued fighting. The government
quickly lost the support of a large proportion of the troops. These disillusioned peasants in uniform
provided excellent targets for Bolshevik propaganda. What is more, the Russian situation in the war
worsened and humiliating defeat began to loom large on the horizon.
Russia was a poverty stricken, backward power in 1917. It also had a majority peasant population.
The continuation of the war meant that the key issues of peace, bread and land that Lenin so aptly

(Robinson Clinkenbeard, 1998) In a typical classroom without a curriculum devised for gifted
and talented students, the progress of the class will be perceived as being slow paced. The gifted
students will have already mastered the current material, and in all likelihood, have already
predicted correctly the next process, and may be planning on studying by themselves to escape the
slow pace. There are various positive and negative aspects of this characteristic towards academic
development. The major disadvantage of a slow paced classroom is that the gifted students may feel
excessive levels of frustration at constantly being held back by the class. Unless this frustration is
addressed, this can lead to underachievement, or constant disruption of the classroom environment.
Teachers can address this frustration by providing more challenging work for the gifted students
once they finished their assigned work, or possibly include challenging material for the whole class
to complete, as research has indicated that even non gifted students may find some aspects of the
current curriculum to be mere revision. (Robinson Clinkenbeard, 1998) Another consequence of
gifted students dislike of slow paced work is boredom. In a classroom where the students are not
provided with challenging and engaging work, the gifted students may slowly develop
underachievement tendencies, such as disengagement from the curriculum,

John Rawls Views On Social Justice
Everyday all over the world, people are victims of injustices done to them by their own people or
done to them by enemies. Some individuals that perform the injustices may not understand that
they are doing so. So that brings about the question of how does one categorize doing justice
versus doing an injustice? It may seem obvious to some but may be far from recognizable to
others. John Rawlswas a political and moral philosopher that had his own views that helped shape
the concepts of social justice. There are two main principles the Mr. Rawls based his theory off
and those are that everyone should have equal rights and that social and economic inequalities are

Thomas Aquinas is a philosopher that discussed the three conditions for a Just War. The first
requirement is that the war must be waged by a person of authority and that it cannot be started by

requirement is that it must be for a good reason or a just cause. The reason for this is because those

Essay about Athens, Greece
Athens, Greece
Athens was the intellectual center of Greece. It was one of the first city states of its time, and is
still known as one of the most famous cities in the world. It was named after Athena, the goddess of
wisdom and the city s patron. In 508 B.C., Athens became one of the first societies in ancient times
to invent democracy. Democracy came from the Greek words, demos, meaning people, and kratein,
meaning to rule. This form of government was usually held in a meeting place, which the Athenians

He loathes this birthmark so much that he says it reminds him of sin and earthliness, opposed to

character is a representation of people who complain about a small imperfection, inconvenience, or

Contrasting the Gods in Homer s Odyssey and the Biblical Book of Exodus
Many authors have employed the religious beliefs of their cultures in literature. The deities
contained in Homer s Odyssey and in the Biblical book of Exodus reflect the nature of the gods in
their respective societies. Upon examination of these two works, there are three major areas where
the gods of the Greek epic seem to directly contrast the nature of the God of the Israelites: the way
problems are solved, the prestige and status that separates the divine from the masses, and the extent
of power among the immortal beings.
Before any logical argument regarding the contrasting of two works can begin, a foundation must

The fact that the people do what is commanded is evidence of the recognition of Yahweh as their
divine God, and it is a testament to the authority they ascribe to Him. The existence and recognition
of the authority of these deities does not provide the only cornerstone for this argument. To discuss
the relationship between the divine and mankind, an observation and analysis of the interaction
between the two realms is imperative. In The Odyssey, many interactions between the gods and
men are seen. One of these scenes illustrates Athena s visit to Telmakhos, at the end of which she
put new spirit in him, a new dream of his father (1. 359 360) in order that Telemakhos might not
give up hope of Odysseus return. It is this type of interaction that gives insight into the relations
between the divine and humans, and that provides a framework on which to weave the examination
of those relations. An example of this type of interaction in Exodus is found in the form of a
burning bush: When, the Lord saw that he [Moses] had gone over to look [at the burning bush],
God called to him from within the bush, Moses! Moses! And Moses said, Here I am. Do not come

true character of reserve to himself and make his status better. But since being denied a higher
position in the shrine, Chomei reclusiveness heightened. When Chomei moves to pure land he has
been humbled by his experiences and his enjoyment and fulfillment of what nature can give him

BuntzAnd yet the official bureaucratic knowledge of the war lays claim to reality, whereas
poetry as a literary genre qualifies only as a product of the imagination. Unlike intelligence
reports, maps, diagrams, and figures, the warrior s knowledge (Gibson 461 68) expressed in
poetry does not count as official reality, (Buntz 9). At a previous school, I had a critical thinking
professor say something similar, but not for the sake of supporting the legitimacy of a soldier s
perspective on the war they fought in. Instead, they were saying that an historian has a better

CRAcross the triple canopy jungle you shared / You don t remember it . (7 8) Two themes that
are similar in both Buntz and Weigl s poetry is the use of nature and memory. In Weigl s poem
Song of Napalm , the subject of the poem was inferred to have lived in a farm while reminded of
scenes from the war. In Buntz essay, he relates the jungles with the memories of the soldiers as
something that they cannot escape from. JMThe girl / Running from her village, napalm
/ Stuck to her dress like jelly / Her hands reaching for the no one / Who waits in waves of heat
before her (23 27). This quote in Weigl s Song of Napalm describes the atrocities of war
witnessed by soldiers. Although the soldiers see this on a daily basis, Buntz mentions that this was
a routine and that soldiers could do nothing to help in these situations. JMThey are strangers,
isolated by the horror they have suffered, inflicted on others, or witnessed (Bunzt) Bunzt describes
the aftermath of soldiers returning home from the battlefield. In Weigl s poem Song of Napalm ,
the veteran is standing alongside someone but is the only one constantly reminded of the horror
they have seen. This illustrates the difference between people who were at war and those who did
not partake in war.

The Wife Monologue
It was a cold and windy September 17 in Denton, Maryland. The year was 1997. Kurt was
working in the field like he does everyday. His wife, Beth, could see him from the house. He could
hear from a distance his two daughters playing in the yard. It was their birthday today.
He remembered back to when the girls were born. The doctor said Beth was pregnant with a
baby boy, and out came two special girls. These girls were not just special in the Daddy s little
angels kind of way. They were both born with superpowers. Glenda came out glowing blue. She
had beautiful blue eyes and a fair complexion with hair that was white as snow. Sutton came out
glowing red. She had bright red lips, dark brown eyes, and silky black hair. Both girls were a

She headed back into her bedroom and knelt down beside the bed. She blindly reached under and
pulled out a large briefcase. Unhinging the briefcase she revealed a well stocked weaponry with
plenty of supplies for the plan.
Shutterbug strapped on a few guns, some knives, and a couple emergency grenades to a belt. She
headed to the patio which was located 4 stories from the sidewalk below. Shutterbug climbed the
railing and steadied her balance. She took one last big breath and jumped into flight.
On her way to the White House she was reminiscing on all of her reasons why she was doing this.
Shutterbug wanted respect. She hated that her sister was always the favorite. Glenda was perfect
in every way. Their parents favored Glenda. Glenda got to go to the wealthy aunt and uncle, and
she was now married to the President. What more could she become? Something had to change.
Shutterbug had decided it was better to be feared than loved, and now she was going to be feared
by all.
Shutterbug could see the White House in the distance. People were scrambling all over the place.
Someone must have seen her coming. Picking up speed, she plummeted down at the front gate.
People were fleeing all around her, except the White House security. Nobody knew her intentions,

My Perfect Life Essay
This is the story everyone knows; the story that has been heard. This is my name . You look at
me now and see me as the girl who has it pretty nice. I live in a simple house nothing too fancy. I
have nice clothes and a comfy bed to come home to every night. I have a loving dad and a family
who cares about me. This is what everyone sees. Everyone sees me planning a future. Most
people know that i want to become a math teacher and that i want to live in Charleston. I m seen
as the girl who always has good grades and is good with school. Everyone assumes i have the
simple easy life and believes i haven t been through anything difficult. I only let people see what
i want them to. I try to hide all the struggles i go through. I try to make it seem like the worst
thing that s ever happened to me is getting into a fight with my friend or me and a boy not
working out but i ve seen much worse. The world has taught us to hide our pains and failures.
We are all trying to fake the perfect life; but the truth is everyone is going through something or
has been through serious pain. The Bad A few months before i was born i went through my first
struggle. My dad left his wife and my sister to be with me and my mom. This caused my sister to
blame me for her never having a dad and our relationship will never be as strong as it could be if
that didn t happen. My next struggle which i don t remember but know it did happen. My mom

Compare Death Of A Moth By Annie Dillard
Death of a Moth There are stories that have been written that can be similar and different in many
ways. This can be seen through the story, Death of a Moth by Virginia Woolf and Annie Dillard.
Both writers share a similar topic, though their style of narration can compare and differ in many
ways. A theme throughout the story is death. Both authors take on a different view of death. While
death can be seen as a haunting experience or the end of a life. There are other interpretations that
can be made on this one topic. Both authors have twists in their stories with different ideas, which
aid to reveal their narration and expression regarding death.
Something both authors did similarly discuss the setting. Dillard was very specific with the
setting of the environment she is narrating from. She states, while warbler swung in the leaves
overhead and bristle worms trailed their inches over the twiggy dirt at my feet; and I read every
night by candlelight, while barred owls called in the forest and pale moths massed round my
head in the clearing (Dillard) She goes in depth to construe and give her readers the real
visualizing feeling that they are with her as she speaks. Similarly, Woolfe depicts her setting with
detail as well. She states, Presumably it was mid day, and work in the fields had stopped. Stillness
and quiet had replaced the previous animation. The birds had taken themselves off to feed in the
brooks. The horses stood still. Yet the power was there, all

A Hanging George Orwell Analysis
George Orwell, an experienced Assistant Superintendent in the British Imperial Police, composed A
Hanging after his resignation in 1927. The narrative is a personal testimony set in the 1920 s in
Burma. Orwell uses the classical techniques of formal argument to depict the death of an unknown
prisoner, while taking a position against the death penalty. George Orwell s Abolitionist message in
A Hangingis conveyed through the prisoner, dog, functionaries, and their actions, words, and body
language.
The writer implies the prisoner s humanity by describing his emotions and ability to reason. After
the execution, the Eurasian boy tells Orwell when the prisoner found out he would be hung, he
pissed on the floor of his cell (Orwell 102). The boy s story signifies the prisoner s human
characteristics through his reaction, as he was so scared he urinated on himself. As John Rodden
notes, this happening creates sympathy (73). The action humanizes the prisoner, connecting the
readers to him. Likewise, George Orwell details the condemned man s human like traits by
describing the prisoner avoiding a puddle directly before his execution. This simple act causes a
realization that the prisoner is also human. John Rodden states, The narrorator reinforces this point
by drawing attention to the prisoner s humanity, as he a dead man walking diligently sidesteps a
puddle (72). Rodden suggest that the dead man still has dignity to sidestep the puddle. The
illustration of the prisoner s response to his death sentence and his avoidance of the water brings to
the reader s attention that capital punishment is taking another human life.
George Orwell conveys the prisoner as human in order to emphasis the dehumanization of capital
punishment. As George Orwell states, He and we were a party of men walking together, seeing,
hearing, feeling, understanding, the same world, and in two minutes, with a sudden snap, one of
us would be gone (101). Orwell implies the prisoner is no different from him; yet, by killing the
condemned man he is taking away his humanity. The author explains the prisoner s gait and stance
as steady, bobbing from side to side with his knees bent. He does not protest, as he has accepted his
fate.

the guest information sheet using Marlon s brother s name of Adonte Burnell, and going into
lockers taking the keys and then taking the Dodge Charger. Jalen said he did not drive the Charger,
but Marlon did.
Jalen was placed in the rear of my marked Police vehicle. Prior to entering my vehicle, I completed

located. I gathered Jalen s parent information at this time.
I spoke with Marlon about additional items in the vehicle the victims said should be in there. I

The Journey Of Alvar NГєГ±ez Cabeza De Vaca
Throughout the history of Texas, Europeans have influenced Texas history and its findings. From
the beginning, Europeans were the ones that discovered Texas while exploring the Americas. A
Spanish explorer, Cabeza De Vaca, was the first person to ever step foot on Texas soil. He
documented his journey about his findings in Texasand the Americas. The book was called The
Journey of Alvar NГєГ±ez Cabeza de Vaca. When the Spanish came, they spread their diseases to
the defenseless Native Americans that resided in Texas.

Europeans had immigrated to and populated Texas. In the period of the great migration, thousands
of Europeans immigrated to Texas.
In 1842 to 1878, Germans created an organization for German immigrants to attempt to constitute
New Germany at the borders of Texas, which was called the Adelsverein. It brought approximately
sixty thousand German immigrants to Texas. Affluent Germans created a society, in which they
helped farmers who didn t have enough money to buy farmlands. The Germans formed a German
belt, where they clustered in small communities from Houston and Galveston to Kerrville and into
the Hill Country.
The Germans affected the Texas Revolution quite a bit as well.
Some German immigrants lended a hand to the Texans, helping them with the battles in the Texas
Revolution. They fought at the Battle of San Jacinto, died defending the Alamo, some escaped and
were the survivors of the Goliad Massacre, and one German even signed the Texas Declaration of
Independence. Since many German immigrants had settled here, they passed laws in German
including English as well. The Germans had quite a big impact on

Marital Discord By Anita Desai
INTRODUCTION The present work aims to study the Marital Discord and the problems faced
by the women in Indian society which undoubtedly, is marching ahead at the path of
development but still assigns traditional roles to the women. Anita Desai has her own separate
approach to female problems in Indian social life and life in general. She does not think that
marriage is as farce as all human relationships are. Some of her heroines have the idea of a
blissful, happy conjugal life, but on the whole the idea seems erroneous. In most of the male
dominated families the concept of marriage as a union of two different minds has not been
realized. Women s individual identity has not been openly realized in Indian social life. This casual
attitude is... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It symbolizes a breakdown in the conciliation and co operation of the married couples. Usually,
marital discord originates when enmity develops among the partners by internal and external
manifestations like partition, physical aggression and alienation. It is a process that begins before
physical separation and continues after the marriage is legally ended. Marital Discord is a very
effective stressor that can prompt individuals to enter stages or engage in behavior that will lead
them to have psychotic or organic features.. It is evident that marital problems are more likely to
cause depression than depression is to cause marital problems. Marital discord is as old as the
organization of marriage itself, even if it has diverged from time to time and from person to person.
In the pre industrial period, men and women who came jointly in marriage shared intellectual
values, mutual dedication, belief and hope which subordinated the interests of the individuals
resulting in the smooth relationship of the family. There were tensions in their marital relationship
too, but the ethical and religious convictions, economic belief and the fear of social condemnation

High and low temperatures were also record breaking. Winds were the culprits of the land that was

The Love Boat Show Analysis
Love Boat Week 6 Presentation Script By Lucas da Paz This presentation draws to a greater
extent on the problem of jurisdiction, which particular crimes primarily happen on cruise ships
as well as analysing The Love Boat TV series to draw on the hidden meanings behind the show
and themes that are conveyed. The Love Boat The Love Boat show is about the characters
dealing with their problems like getting a lack of love as described by Cathy Schwichtenberg in
her readings. It is about the characters going on a love boat journey whilst encountering problems
such as finding the wrong lover based off mistaken identities (Schwichtenberg,1984). Love is a
complex, abstract relation between two people (Schwitchenberg,1984).However, in the Love Boat
tv series, love is objectified and can be bought , it is another commodity when linked with another
object a boat with the ultimate reward of love being exchanged with money for a cruise, creating
the false pretence and idea that love can be bought (Schwichtenberg,1984). The Kerry Act... Show

Analysis Of Frankenstein s Monster, And Fredrick Douglass
Knowledge can be the key to freedom or to one s demise, depending on how one choses to act, but
no matter what, gaining knowledge is rarely an easy task. Even for students who have information
readily available to them, like Victor Frankenstein at the University of Ingolstadt, are constantly
under the arduous task of learning. When learning has to be done by any means necessary or in
secret, like Frankensteins monster or Fredrick Douglass, the acquisition of knowledgebecomes even
more daunting and makes the learner even more ardent in their pursuit. Once a person obtains
knowledge, they see their surroundings for what they are and become discontent; they realize their
potential and take action to change their life, which can be seen through the eyes of Victor
Frankenstein, his monster, and Fredrick Douglass.
Victor Frankenstein was obsessed with knowledge, and thought knowledge was the key to
unlocking nature and become a pioneer in science and challenging God. I have described myself
as always having been imbued with a fervent longing to penetrate the secrets of nature (Shelley,
Frankenstein, 21). Victor always had to push boundaries, and his passion drove him closer to
science and immorality and farther from his family and friends. Once Victor sees his abomination
animated, his potential come alive, he wishes for nothing more than if it had never happened. He
moves on to a new obsession fleeing his past. It consumes him and his health.
As Victor learns more, he

Taylor Swift Figurative Language
Almost everything in life can be viewed by different perspectives and almost everything is
interpreted
in a multitude of ways. This also applies to love and relationships. Love is so expansive and
intricate that it takes a whole life time to try to explain and feel it. When trying to explain love
some expressed love to be beautiful, miraculous and joyous. However, others portrayed the dark
side of love; the hurt, the harsh reality, and broken hearts. Taylor Swift represented that same
unhappiness that is associated with love in her music. In her song Forever and Always Taylor
Swift exemplified her pain through the lyrics. In the sixth stanza of her song Taylor sang, Oh, I

slight bitter sweet tone through the song and it is exemplified through the lyrics. It is almost as if
he resents himself for still being in love with this girl even after the pain of rejection she has put
him through. Turner s feelings never change towards this girl. He is still in love with her no
matter what.
The Arctic Monkeys song, Do I Wanna Know? uses figurative language terms such as
metaphors, repetition, and personification to express the natural responses to fear of rejection and
the desperation held onto when one wants still to hold onto a love that may or may not be there.
Turner knew one thing for sure; that he was madly in love with this one girl and that he was
willing to go after her by whatever means necessary. Yet again Turner still had some hesitation.
This proved that point that there is always an uncertainty in love because no one is guaranteed
that the person they love feels the same way. It is a natural instinct to want to feel accepted and it
is heartbreaking to find out that the person he loved, did not even accept him. Alex turned to

Angell s Belief in Functionalism and John Watson s Belief...
It was also suggested by Angell(1913) that consciousness was best if forgotten and there should be
a objective method of describing animal and human behavior but also believed that if it were to
exist , it should definitely be of some use for an organism .
The statement also suggests that it was not only John Watson the founder of behaviorism who
proposed the idea rather it was thought about before him. His rise and influence was probably
because of introducing the idea at a time when it could be accepted by the time and tide of that
period.
Psychology had been the study of mind from a very long time and was represented by the method of
introspection defined as studying the mind by analyzing the thoughts.
Angell s functionalism aimed to apply psychology and its methods to real life problems however
the problem with both structuralism and functionalism was that the methods were not reliable and
introspection was considered to be a problem rather than a solution.
Psychology could not convince people of its usefulness and practical problem and the founder of
behaviorism John Watson believed that both structuralism and functionalism were subjective and
introduced behaviorism as objective. (Moore ,2011) which was considered to be a transformation
from one phase of science to another . (Gardner ,1985)
Behaviorism has been believed to influence everyday life from parenting and learning to employee
perks in organizations. It aims to study behavior and how it can be changed, it

Truman s Vision Statement
When I enrolled at Truman State University, I did not realize how my race impacted me on both
a personal and global level. I believed we lived in a post racial society where race and ethnicity
did not matter. However, on Monday, November 24th, 2014, when officer Darren Wilson was
not indicted for the killing of Michael Brown, I experienced an epiphany. Race matters. Whether
an individual believes that race did or did not play a role in Michael Brown s death, race was
reignited as a prominent topic in America due to the Black Lives Matter movement. Roland
Martin, the host of News One Now, stated in an interview that The reason Black Lives Matter has

Klyukovski, I pondered how my institution dealt with diversity. He proposed examining Truman
s vision statement to understand what the institution will do when issues of diversity arise.
After conducting some preliminary research on vision statements and generic criticism, I knew
this is what I wanted to study. I was ecstatic that I was able to add to the scholarly conversation
centered on vision statements within higher education. It was incredible learning how such a
short statement served as a reminder of where an organization wants to go. During the McNair
program, I discovered a part of me that I never knew existed, a researcher. I never thought of
myself as that because I believed researchers were naturally smart, which I was not. However,
intelligence is not determined by grades or GPA. It is about grit, which I gained by never being
the victim of my circumstances. As mentioned earlier, coming to terms with my racial identity
definitely impacted my academics. While I was enraged by Truman s aura, I realized I could not
let that take away from my mental energy anymore. With the arrival of my senior year, I
channeled all that frustration in graduate applications and studies because unless I did well in
those two avenues, I would not be leaving Truman anytime soon. Now, I have been accepted into
five different Master Programs (as of 3/18) at the University of Texas San Antonio, University of
Wisconsin Milwaukee, University of Colorado Denver and Colorado Springs and Saint Louis

On the other hand, the research suggested that self esteem is able to serve a death denying function. If someone is being asked to think about their own death, it would increase their need for the protection affords by the cultural worldview and the self worth derived from it (Harmon Jones, Greenberg, Pyszczynski, Solomon, McGregor, 1997). Based on this presumption, TMT derives a hypothesis anxiety buffer hypothesis, suggesting that self esteem serves as an anxiety buffer against the mortality salience (Pyszczynski et al., 1999). Anxiety buffer hypothesis posits that self esteem is an emotional buffer to defend against anxiety (Solomon et al., 1991). There are several significant evidences to support the claim that self esteem serves as an anxiety buffer function. First of all, there are large literature review indicated that self esteem is negatively correlated with various measures of anxiety and the physical and psychological consequences of anxiety. After the first years A.C., Gothic tribes destructed Athens. The integration with the Byzantine Empire was finalized with the shut down of Philosophic Schools, the changing of shrines to Christian temples and the general city of Athens. For music, young adults spend about two and a half hours listening throughout the day. Music is merely organized sound that is meaningful and designed to entertain the audience listening. Contrasting the Gods in Homer s Odyssey and the Biblical Book of Exodus Many authors have employed the religious beliefs of their cultures in literature. The deities contained in Homer s Odyssey and in the Biblical book of Exodus reflect the nature of the gods in their respective societies. Upon examination of these two works, there are three major areas where the gods of the Greek epic seem to directly contrast the nature of the God of the Israelites: the way problems are solved, the prestige and status that separates the divine from the masses, and the extent of power among the immortal beings. Before any logical argument regarding the contrasting of two works can begin, a foundation must be established that in some way ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The fact that the people do what is commanded is evidence of the recognition of Yahweh as their divine God, and it is a testament to the authority they ascribe to Him. The existence and recognition of the authority of these deities does not provide the only cornerstone for this argument. To discuss the relationship between the divine and mankind, an observation and analysis of the interaction between the two realms is imperative. In The Odyssey, many interactions between the gods and men are seen. One of these scenes illustrates Athena s visit to Telmakhos, at the end of which she put new spirit in him, a new dream of his father (1. 359 360) in order that Telemakhos might not give up hope of Odysseus return. It is this type of interaction that gives insight into the relations between the divine and humans, and that provides a framework on which to weave the examination of those relations. An example of this type of interaction in Exodus is found in the form of a burning bush: When, the Lord saw that he [Moses] had gone over to look [at the burning bush], God called to him from within the bush, Moses! Moses! And Moses said, Here I am. Do not come any closer, God said, Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground (Exodus 3:4 5). • 45. A Hanging George Orwell Analysis George Orwell, an experienced Assistant Superintendent in the British Imperial Police, composed A Hanging after his resignation in 1927. The narrative is a personal testimony set in the 1920 s in Burma. Orwell uses the classical techniques of formal argument to depict the death of an unknown prisoner, while taking a position against the death penalty. George Orwell s Abolitionist message in A Hangingis conveyed through the prisoner, dog, functionaries, and their actions, words, and body language. The writer implies the prisoner s humanity by describing his emotions and ability to reason. After the execution, the Eurasian boy tells Orwell when the prisoner found out he would be hung, he pissed on the floor of his cell (Orwell 102). The boy s story signifies the prisoner s human characteristics through his reaction, as he was so scared he urinated on himself. As John Rodden notes, this happening creates sympathy (73). The action humanizes the prisoner, connecting the readers to him. Likewise, George Orwell details the condemned man s human like traits by describing the prisoner avoiding a puddle directly before his execution. This simple act causes a realization that the prisoner is also human. John Rodden states, The narrorator reinforces this point by drawing attention to the prisoner s humanity, as he a dead man walking diligently sidesteps a puddle (72). Rodden suggest that the dead man still has dignity to sidestep the puddle. The illustration of the prisoner s response to his death sentence and his avoidance of the water brings to the reader s attention that capital punishment is taking another human life. George Orwell conveys the prisoner as human in order to emphasis the dehumanization of capital punishment. As George Orwell states, He and we were a party of men walking together, seeing, hearing, feeling, understanding, the same world, and in two minutes, with a sudden snap, one of us would be gone (101). Orwell implies the prisoner is no different from him; yet, by killing the condemned man he is taking away his humanity. The author explains the prisoner s gait and stance as steady, bobbing from side to side with his knees bent. He does not protest, as he has accepted his fate. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Once a person obtains knowledge, they see their surroundings for what they are and become discontent; they realize their potential and take action to change their life, which can be seen through the eyes of Victor Frankenstein, his monster, and Fredrick Douglass. Victor Frankenstein was obsessed with knowledge, and thought knowledge was the key to unlocking nature and become a pioneer in science and challenging God. I have described myself as always having been imbued with a fervent longing to penetrate the secrets of nature (Shelley, Frankenstein, 21). Victor always had to push boundaries, and his passion drove him closer to science and immorality and farther from his family and friends. Once Victor sees his abomination animated, his potential come alive, he wishes for nothing more than if it had never happened. He moves on to a new obsession fleeing his past. It consumes him and his health. As Victor learns more, he ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 52. Taylor Swift Figurative Language Almost everything in life can be viewed by different perspectives and almost everything is interpreted in a multitude of ways. This also applies to love and relationships. Love is so expansive and intricate that it takes a whole life time to try to explain and feel it. When trying to explain love some expressed love to be beautiful, miraculous and joyous. However, others portrayed the dark side of love; the hurt, the harsh reality, and broken hearts. Taylor Swift represented that same unhappiness that is associated with love in her music. In her song Forever and Always Taylor Swift exemplified her pain through the lyrics. In the sixth stanza of her song Taylor sang, Oh, I stare at the phone/ He still hasn t called/ And then you feel so low/ You can t feel... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It has a slight bitter sweet tone through the song and it is exemplified through the lyrics. It is almost as if he resents himself for still being in love with this girl even after the pain of rejection she has put him through. Turner s feelings never change towards this girl. He is still in love with her no matter what. The Arctic Monkeys song, Do I Wanna Know? uses figurative language terms such as metaphors, repetition, and personification to express the natural responses to fear of rejection and the desperation held onto when one wants still to hold onto a love that may or may not be there. Turner knew one thing for sure; that he was madly in love with this one girl and that he was willing to go after her by whatever means necessary. Yet again Turner still had some hesitation. This proved that point that there is always an uncertainty in love because no one is guaranteed that the person they love feels the same way. It is a natural instinct to want to feel accepted and it

  • 54. Angell s Belief in Functionalism and John Watson s Belief... It was also suggested by Angell(1913) that consciousness was best if forgotten and there should be a objective method of describing animal and human behavior but also believed that if it were to exist , it should definitely be of some use for an organism . The statement also suggests that it was not only John Watson the founder of behaviorism who proposed the idea rather it was thought about before him. His rise and influence was probably because of introducing the idea at a time when it could be accepted by the time and tide of that period. Psychology had been the study of mind from a very long time and was represented by the method of introspection defined as studying the mind by analyzing the thoughts. Angell s functionalism aimed to apply psychology and its methods to real life problems however the problem with both structuralism and functionalism was that the methods were not reliable and introspection was considered to be a problem rather than a solution. Psychology could not convince people of its usefulness and practical problem and the founder of behaviorism John Watson believed that both structuralism and functionalism were subjective and introduced behaviorism as objective. (Moore ,2011) which was considered to be a transformation from one phase of science to another . (Gardner ,1985) Behaviorism has been believed to influence everyday life from parenting and learning to employee perks in organizations. It aims to study behavior and how it can be changed, it ... • 55. Truman s Vision Statement When I enrolled at Truman State University, I did not realize how my race impacted me on both a personal and global level. I believed we lived in a post racial society where race and ethnicity did not matter. However, on Monday, November 24th, 2014, when officer Darren Wilson was not indicted for the killing of Michael Brown, I experienced an epiphany. Race matters. Whether an individual believes that race did or did not play a role in Michael Brown s death, race was reignited as a prominent topic in America due to the Black Lives Matter movement. Roland Martin, the host of News One Now, stated in an interview that The reason Black Lives Matter has been so successful is because they have forced the most rigorous discussion on police brutality... He proposed examining Truman s vision statement to understand what the institution will do when issues of diversity arise. After conducting some preliminary research on vision statements and generic criticism, I knew this is what I wanted to study. I was ecstatic that I was able to add to the scholarly conversation centered on vision statements within higher education. It was incredible learning how such a short statement served as a reminder of where an organization wants to go. During the McNair program, I discovered a part of me that I never knew existed, a researcher. I never thought of myself as that because I believed researchers were naturally smart, which I was not. However, intelligence is not determined by grades or GPA. It is about grit, which I gained by never being the victim of my circumstances. As mentioned earlier, coming to terms with my racial identity definitely impacted my academics. While I was enraged by Truman s aura, I realized I could not let that take away from my mental energy anymore. With the arrival of my senior year, I channeled all that frustration in graduate applications and studies because unless I did well in those two avenues, I would not be leaving Truman anytime soon. Now, I have been accepted into five different Master Programs (as of 3/18) at the University of Texas San Antonio, University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, University of Colorado Denver and Colorado Springs and Saint Louis ...
