India’s Trade with GCC in the Age of Covid 19ijtsrd
COVID 19s emergence has tipped the global economic system. Due to the outbreak of COVID 19, the economic structure of the entire planet has been severely destabilized. Global trade has found itself in a perilous position as a result of the lockdown and social distancing measures that have been put in place. It is one of Indias most important trading partners to have a relationship with the Gulf Cooperation Council GCC . Attempts have been made in this paper to explore the pattern and possibilities of Indian trade with countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council GCC in the period of COVID 19. The data from January 2020 to December 2021 was gathered from secondary sources and then analysed. Specifically, this study investigates the impact of the epidemic on Indias aggregate trade with the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council GCC . These findings indicate that Indias exports to the Gulf Cooperation Council GCC are more negatively affected by COVID 19 restrictions than its exports to the rest of the world. Despite the fact that the Gulf Cooperation Council countries offer India immense opportunity for trade and investment. Places like Singapore, Boston, Bangalore, Pittsburgh, Silicon Valley, and others are known as leaders in innovation, but when it comes to building the knowledge economy, the Gulf has become one of the most ambitious regions in the world.
A decade ago, the consensus from outside the region was that Middle Eastern countries, including those in the Gulf, were a long way from developing knowledge economies— defined as economies that combine advanced research and development, entrepreneurialism, and creative thinking into innovative, wealth-generating enterprises. Fast-forward to 2015, and many Arab Gulf countries have become well known for their attempts at building knowledge economies, for instance through innovation clusters such as Abu Dhabi's Masdar City, Dubai's TechnoPark, Qatar's Science and Technology Park, and Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah University of Science and Technology. Through these and other efforts, Gulf countries have invested billions of dollars in dozens of initiatives to co-locate the sources of innovation—research labs, venture capital, entrepreneurs, high-technology companies, and educational institutions, in hopes of building globally renowned knowledge economies.
In Brainstorming the Gulf: Innovation and the Knowledge Economy in the GCC, the report's author, Peter Engelke, Senior Fellow for the Strategic Foresight Initiative in the Atlantic Council's Brent Scowcroft Center on International Security, highlights the successes that Gulf states have enjoyed to date and addresses the major hurdles to sustaining and expanding these successes. While all signs point to the staying power of Arab Gulf leadership's long-term commitment to the knowledge economy, the harder part will be sustaining the knowledge economy's soft infrastructure—the dimension of entrepreneurial culture involving creativity, expression, inclusion, disruption, and borrowing from global cultural flows. If talented people are at the core of the innovation process, government policy in the Gulf ought to focus as much on the creation of dynamic and livable places in order to attract and retain the best talent from all over the world. As Arab Gulf states have already discovered, this pathway is disruptive, bringing with it significant social consequences.

Optimizing Post Remediation Groundwater Performance with Enhanced Microbiolog...Joshua Orris
Results of geophysics and pneumatic injection pilot tests during 2003 – 2007 yielded significant positive results for injection delivery design and contaminant mass treatment, resulting in permanent shut-down of an existing groundwater Pump & Treat system.
Accessible source areas were subsequently removed (2011) by soil excavation and treated with the placement of Emulsified Vegetable Oil EVO and zero-valent iron ZVI to accelerate treatment of impacted groundwater in overburden and weathered fractured bedrock. Post pilot test and post remediation groundwater monitoring has included analyses of CVOCs, organic fatty acids, dissolved gases and QuantArray® -Chlor to quantify key microorganisms (e.g., Dehalococcoides, Dehalobacter, etc.) and functional genes (e.g., vinyl chloride reductase, methane monooxygenase, etc.) to assess potential for reductive dechlorination and aerobic cometabolism of CVOCs.
In 2022, the first commercial application of MetaArray™ was performed at the site. MetaArray™ utilizes statistical analysis, such as principal component analysis and multivariate analysis to provide evidence that reductive dechlorination is active or even that it is slowing. Kinetic studies on malachite green dye adsorption from aqueous solutions by A...Open Access Research Paper
Water polluted by dyestuffs compounds is a global threat to health and the environment; accordingly, we prepared a green novel sorbent chemical and Physical system from an algae, chitosan and chitosan nanoparticle and impregnated with algae with chitosan nanocomposite for the sorption of Malachite green dye from water. The algae with chitosan nanocomposite by a simple method and used as a recyclable and effective adsorbent for the removal of malachite green dye from aqueous solutions. Algae, chitosan, chitosan nanoparticle and algae with chitosan nanocomposite were characterized using different physicochemical methods. The functional groups and chemical compounds found in algae, chitosan, chitosan algae, chitosan nanoparticle, and chitosan nanoparticle with algae were identified using FTIR, SEM, and TGADTA/DTG techniques. The optimal adsorption conditions, different dosages, pH and Temperature the amount of algae with chitosan nanocomposite were determined. At optimized conditions and the batch equilibrium studies more than 99% of the dye was removed. The adsorption process data matched well kinetics showed that the reaction order for dye varied with pseudo-first order and pseudo-second order. Furthermore, the maximum adsorption capacity of the algae with chitosan nanocomposite toward malachite green dye reached as high as 15.5mg/g, respectively. Finally, multiple times reusing of algae with chitosan nanocomposite and removing dye from a real wastewater has made it a promising and attractive option for further practical applications.
Evolving Lifecycles with High Resolution Site Characterization (HRSC) and 3-D...Joshua Orris
The incorporation of a 3DCSM and completion of HRSC provided a tool for enhanced, data-driven, decisions to support a change in remediation closure strategies. Currently, an approved pilot study has been obtained to shut-down the remediation systems (ISCO, P&T) and conduct a hydraulic study under non-pumping conditions. A separate micro-biological bench scale treatability study was competed that yielded positive results for an emerging innovative technology. As a result, a field pilot study has commenced with results expected in nine-twelve months. With the results of the hydraulic study, field pilot studies and an updated risk assessment leading site monitoring optimization cost lifecycle savings upwards of $15MM towards an alternatively evolved best available technology remediation closure strategy.

3. Asia's Economic Defense Amid Global Recession Threats
• In the face of a global economic downturn, India grapples with a
0.19% decline in exports (April 2023 to January 2024) and a 16%
drop in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).
• Despite increased Foreign Institutional Investor (FII) inflows,
attracting investments remains challenging. However, resilient
domestic efforts are evident through sustained government
expenditure.
• Simultaneously, as nations navigate economic uncertainties, India
reinforces its defense along the LAC, converting the Barelvi
headquarters into the 18 Corps with 45,000 soldiers.
• In a parallel move, Australia commits AU$7.25 billion to enhance
its naval capabilities, doubling its warship fleet and acquiring
nuclear submarines via AUKUS.
• This collective defense stance underscores a regional commitment
to security amid the ongoing global economic turmoil, countering
China's growing military ambitions in the Indo-Pacific region.

4. Nvidia Surges Amid Chip Boom
Nvidia Shatters Expectations: Revenue Up By 265% Year-On-Year
• The chip and semiconductor market is experiencing significant
growth globally, with companies like Nvidia leading the way.
• U.S. restrictions on AI chip exports to China impede Nvidia,
causing a sales decline, while rapid expansion grapples with
meeting heightened chip demand, hinting at potential supply
chain strain.
• Rivalry intensifies with AMD and other tech giants entering the AI
chip sector, posing a significant challenge to Nvidia's market
dominance.
• Nvidia, despite export and supply chain issues, maintains industry
dominance, partnering with major tech players and securing its
position as the most traded stock on Wall Street.

5. Geopolitical Challenges Shift Diesel Flows
• As Houthi attacks disrupt European diesel shipments from India, flows
to the EU and UK hit their lowest since 2022.
• Rising freight costs due to Red Sea turmoil and unexpected Asian
refinery maintenance have redirected trade dynamics, favoring Asian
destinations.
• Notably, no diesel imports reached the EU in February's first two
weeks, while vessels like Marlin Sicily and Marlin La Plata signal a shift
to Rotterdam.
• Meanwhile, increased Indian diesel arrivals in Asian ports, including
Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh, underline the impact of geopolitical
challenges on global energy trade.
• Major oil companies reap $281bn profits since Ukraine invasion,
contrasting with widespread struggles for basic needs.
• While EU is criticizing India for buying oil from Russia amid its Ukraine
conflict, European states persist in procuring refined Russian crude
from India.

• Drawing parallels with the earlier Defence Trade and Technology
Initiative (DTTI), INDUS-X aims to break information silos, build
cooperation networks, and minimize bureaucratic and regulatory
obstacles between the defence ministries of India and the US.
• India and the US is at a pivotal juncture in the Indo-Pacific's history,
where its extensive oceans and vital waterways intersect global
commerce, geopolitics, and security.
“In navigating the complex dynamics of
