Uno - Learn Language in 6 Months by Pronunciation TrainingUno Kim
This document discusses how to learn a new language in 6 months through pronunciation training. It summarizes a TED talk by Chris Lonsdale who learned Mandarin Chinese in 6 months using 5 principles and 7 actions. The principles include using what's relevant to you, using the language as a tool, acquiring the language through comprehension, viewing it as physiological training rather than accumulation of knowledge, and learning happily and curiously. The 7 actions include brain soaking by listening, getting meaning first, mixing it up through creativity, focusing on core words, having a language parent, copying facial expressions, and getting direct connections. The document then relates these methods to the author's own experience learning English and provides their recipe for learning through a pronunciation
The document outlines Lonsdale's five principles and seven actions for rapid language acquisition. The five principles are to focus on relevant content, use the language to communicate, understand meaning before words through gestures, see language learning as physiological training, and maintain a positive psychological state. The seven actions are to listen a lot without understanding, focus on meaning, start mixing known words, focus on high frequency words, get a language parent for support, mimic facial expressions when speaking, and directly connect new words to mental images instead of just memorizing translations.

This document provides an overview and introduction to Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). It begins by defining NLP as a study of subjective experience that focuses on patterns of neurology, language, and programming to achieve outcomes. The document then outlines some of NLP's key concepts, including its presuppositions, the conscious and unconscious mind, the communication model, and rapport building. It describes NLP's goal of understanding internal representations and the filters of deletion, distortion, and generalization that shape one's perceptions. The summary aims to give a high-level sense of NLP's focus on patterns, subjective experience, and achieving desired outcomes through language and behavior.
This document outlines strategies for effective listening. It discusses strategies that should be used before, during, and after listening. Before listening, readers are advised to connect to prior knowledge, make predictions about the content, and discuss new vocabulary words. During listening, they should listen for answers to questions, take notes, and re-listen if needed. After listening, readers should respond with their opinions, summarize the key points in their notes, and do additional research on the topic. The document also provides tips for active listening, such as paying full attention, showing engagement, providing feedback, deferring judgment, and responding appropriately.
This document provides tips for improving English language skills such as speaking, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, listening, reading, and writing. Neuro linguistic programming (Misdawati Sem VI Unit 5 PBI)Ardhacom
Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) is an approach to communication, personal development, and psychotherapy created in the 1970s. It is based on the idea that neurological processes, language, and learned behaviors can be changed to achieve goals. NLP uses techniques like anchoring, reframing, and state management. It has roots in psychology and neurology and aims to train the brain for betterment. NLP identifies six modalities of how people perceive information through their senses and how these filters affect our worldview and behavior, including in language learning. NLP can be applied in the classroom through creating rapport, mirroring, maintaining flow, and modeling good practices to improve interpersonal communication and learning.
This document provides strategies and tips for listening comprehension. It outlines three objectives: to understand the main idea, note specific details, and determine steps in a process from a listened text. It then gives advice on preparing for listening, strategies to use while listening such as focusing on key words and taking notes, and steps to take after listening like reviewing notes and checking comprehension. The overall goal is to help language learners improve their English listening skills.

6. Let’s check to see if you got
the 5 principles and 7 actions
correct.
7. The five principles are:
5个原则:
1. Focus on language content that is relevant to you.
专注和日常相关的语言内容。
2. Use your language as a tool to communicate from day 1.
从学习这门语言的第一天开始,就把它当做交流方式。
3. When you understand the message you will acquire the language
unconsciously.
当你明白含义之后,会慢慢不知不觉地习得这门语言。
4. Language is not about accumulating a lot of knowledge but is
rather a type of physiological training.
语言学习不是大量知识的积累,而更像是一种生理训练。
5. Psycho-physiological state matters – you need to be happy,
relaxed, and most importantly, you need to be tolerant of ambiguity.
Don’t try to understand every detail as it will drive you crazy.
心理状态和生理状态都很重要:需要愉快、放松,最重要的是对于模棱两可要有一
定容忍性。对于细枝末节不要过于纠结,因为那会把人逼疯的。
8. The seven actions are:
7个行动:
1. Listen a lot – it doesn't matter if you
understand or not. Listen to rhythms and
patterns.
多听——理解与否不重要,尽管去听吧!去听听语言节奏和说
话模式。
2. Focus on getting the meaning first, before the
words. Body language and facial expressions can
help.
先专注理解整体意思,再弄清单词含义。身体语言和面部表情会
有所帮助。
3. Start mixing, get creative, and use what you’re
learning
开始混合,创造话语并使用所学到的一切。
9. 4. Focus on the core – use the most commonly-use the
