LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like

Gay further states that blushing is not an act that is confined to Anne or females in general in the late
1800s and early 1900s. During courtship and in other instances, men also blushed at the sight of a
woman. When one felt so strongly about someone else, blushing was a common practice. Although
this is not to say that it was not a cause for embarrassment especially for men who at the time were so
masculinized that it was seen as a taboo. However, Austen does depict men such as Captain
Wentworth as creatures who were not shy about expressing themselves and showing how they felt
through blushing (Gay 19). He does so when he sees Anne in Bath after he leaves Louisa. To him, it

She is described as a snow queen who gave a chill wherever she went. Just like her sister, Anne, she is
not married. Her father, Walter Elliot had arranged for her to marry her cousin, William but he instead
got married to a wealthy heiress. This was a common practice in the 1800s and most times, people
from noble or classy backgrounds were promised to their cousins because they were seen as worthy
and deserving of their hand in marriage. When Gay talks about Anne in here article, she wants to
demonstrate the romance that existed at the time. However, she also intends to contrast this with a lack
of choice and passion that was synonymous with the time. Girls are particularly vulnerable to the
practice of marrying into the family and enduring a loveless marriage while at the same time living a
miserable life. Although some were comfortable with it, like Elizabeth, others were not. They wished
to have the freedom of choice to be courted by anyone they wanted and get married to a person of
their choosing. Romance did exist even for such people. However, it was unnatural and felt forced or

9. Compare Washington Crossing The Delaware And The Quilt
America, a country that could only be described as a quilt as it is made up of many different peoples.
Sadly, equality and common respect is hard to come by in a nation full of different opinions, colors,
and cultures. Through heart wrenching pathos, Leutze s painting Washington Crossing the Delaware
and Quindlen s The Quilt signifies that while America may seem on the verge of breaking at times it
manages to succeed through the unification of it s people.
Leutze s painting, Washington Crossing the Delaware, conveys that the people of America can
overlook their differences and hardship when being unified by hope. He uses pathos in the color
contrast in his painting to inspire feelings of hope in the unity of America. Dark color seems to loom,
almost pushing upon the ships in the painting. Nevertheless, light surrounds the ships, seeming to flow
from the American flag on the first ship. The American flag is a symbol of hope for the men on these
ships, each of them being drastically different. The men gathered on these ships are all drastically
different . George Washington himself is there, a highly respected general among common folk and
even an African American man. Each of these men different in race, rank, and opinion are unified
under a flag that represents each different person as a single people for the hope that they can earn
their freedom. Despite the pressing darkness the flag shines a light of hope as a symbol of unity for the
people of America. The pathos used in

· The standardization of industry product: Vehicles products are standardized even though we still can
find some differentiation between auto companies. For the consumers who feel they can find the
equivalent vehicles between companies, they will compare them. However, since there are brand
loyalty among the consumers in choosing a vehicle related to its differentiation, the switching costs

· The threat from buyers to integrate backward and produce the industry product themselves: Since

Why Four Point System preferable for Fabric Inspection?
The word of Inspection in garments engineering mainly identifies to the visual examination or

any apparel industry to keep away from rejects due to low fabric or accessories quality and
precautions to remove unexpected loss/defects of finished goods.
The quality of a finished item in apparel industry is mostly controlled on the quality of fabric when it

Even the most exceptional/excellence manufacturing methods cannot compensate for defective
materials.
* Garments producer: Have to inspect minimum 10% per color or more of any consignment when
they got and assess them based on a four point system. By this process, they can minimize fabric
related quality troubles before it moved to production.
* Fabric mill: Have to inspect 100% of finished goods; defects must be recorded for each roll.
Usually four methods may be followed for fabric inspection process.
1) Graniteville 78 system.
2) Dallas system.
3) 4 point system
4) 10 point system
But, above all 4 point system is most popular and broadly used as it is very simple to applicable,

Fabric Inspection Process
To use this system someone has to know following procedure:
1) Vast idea on nature of fabric defects (how a defect looks and its appearance)
2) Fabric inspection method or preparation

16. The Censorship Of The Journalism
Breaking news just in.......... this is just one of the everyday things in the hectic world of journalism.
People often downplay the significance of this huge task. Journalism allows people to know
everything happening all around the world. It also allows questions that would otherwise be awkward
to ask to be answered. It offers informative facts and often the whole truth to everyone out there.
Without journalism the government would probably be in control of everything and fellow citizens
would ignorant of the happenings around them.
One of the roles in journalism is the journalist. Journalists have several tasks to complete but the main

Not only was he a journalist he was also a publisher and printer. He was rather successful in this area
and it could be due to the fact that he would be neutral on subjects and scrutinize all sides of an issue
and several perspectives on those issues would be published. He completely understood the meaning
of the freedom of the press, and he wouldn t limit the information he knows to the people in America.
A reporter is another essential position in journalism. A reporter is the one who watches and pictures
the events in great detail in order to inform viewers. They have to state their own views and also the
facts of the things they are covering. This job includes having to gather the news and present it in a
certain amount of time. They have to interview several people and attend public meetings, press
conferences, and courts to find events of interest to the public.
This job doesn t quite provide fixed hours or a regular routine; it ll change by the day. The type of
work will change daily, as well as the amount of it. To fit this job a reporter must possess confident, so
they won t be overly amazed or intimidated by the rank of an interviewee. A reporter should always
take initiative to do all tasks and not be easily discouraged by people or their surroundings. They
should also posses the mental and physical drive to deal with any kind of situation quickly and to put
it into words. When

17. Special Educational Needs And Disability
(SEND) stands for Special Educational Needs and Disability . QUOTE A learner s needs may be too
complex for a class teacher to fully cater provide for. It is possible that more support and even
specialist help maybe needed for example speech and language therapy. This is usually when a child is
described as having special needs . (Somerville Primary School, 2016). It is true that having SEND
can affect a learner s capacity to learn. A Send learner may show inappropriate behaviour, find it hard
to socialise, struggle with writing and reading or have other issues in class. This is not an exhaustive
list. Diagram (City of London, 2016).
It is recognised that as a teacher it is important to adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs
of all pupils DFES (2013). If a learner needs SEND support, it is recommended that a graduated
approach of Assess Plan Do Review should be employed. (p16, DFES (2014). Learners should receive
more support as needed.
It is true that local authorities are tasked with identifying all young people in the locality who have
SEND or a disability however:
anyone can bring a child or young person who they believe has or probably has SEND or a disability
to the attention of a local authority (Section 24 of the Children and Families Act 2014)

18. Flaubert Madame Bouvary And Theodor Fontane No Way Back
Gustave s Flaubert Madame Bouvary and Theodor Fontane No Way Back are two classic books that
have a variety of connections. To begin with the context will be discussed with a close reference to
plot and characterisation in general. Following the techniques and themes will be critically analysed
and discussed what a comparison of these two passages will tell us about the novels as a whole.
Throughout the novels there are many similarities and differences which can be compared against
each other to receive a greater depth of understanding of the novel as one. Holk and Christine a family
are the main characters in No Way Back. Holk receives a letter from the princess and he is forced to
leave his family where during his stay he falls into the trap of adultery. Once he s back their life is no
longer the same and consequently Christine commits suicide. Moreover, the plot is similar to Madame
Bouvary s where she married Charles yet never feels satisfied with her love life and has an affair with
two other men during the novel. The ending is parallel to Fontane s novel as the woman again
commits suicide. Mutually the novels are considered classically themed as adultery to what happened

19. All About My Mother And Art Spiegelman
Pedro Almodóvar s film, All About my Mother and Art Spiegelman s graphic novel Maus, both
attempt to make sense of the ways in which trauma shapes families. Both texts portray trauma as a
divisive force between parents and children, however the expression of that division is variable. While
Maus portrays trauma as purely divisive, All About my Mother demonstrates that trauma can create as
well as destroy familial relationships. The two texts reconvene on the idea that the passage of trauma
from parents to children serves as a means of recovery from trauma and pain.
In both narratives, distance between parents and children is created because of a traumatic experience
unique to the parent. In All About my Mother, this distance is manifested ... Show more content on

Manuela s withdraw into a vague response and her unwillingness to discuss the trauma and events
which are so significant to her and Estebán s lives highlights the distance created between parent and
child through this suffering.
Trauma still behaves as an alienating force in Maus. However, the distance between Artie and Vladek
is expressed in the form of Artie s guilt, rather than insensitivity, about Vladek s trauma. While
discussing his struggle to retell Vladek s story with his wife Françoise, Artie states, I can t even make
any sense out of my relationship with my father...How am I supposed to make any sense out of
Auschwitz? ... of the Holocaust?... When I was a kid I used to think about which of my parents I d let
the Nazis take to the ovens if I could only save one of them... I usually saved my mother. Do you think
that s normal? (14). The fact that Artie can t comprehend his relationship to Vladek indicates his lack
of understanding, and therefore distance from his father. Spiegelman s subsequent questioning of how
he is to understand the Holocaust and Auschwitz, and his use of the same sentence structure in voicing
those questions demonstrates the parallels between these two ignorances and underscores the causal
relationship between misunderstanding his father and his ignorance of

On January 1809, Edgar Allan Poe was born in Boston. His father left very early in his life and his
mother died when he was 3. Poe was taken in as a foster child by Frances and John Allan. Despite the
fact that Poe academically excelled he could not pay his college loans and started gambling. John
Allan refused to pay his gambling debts and was forced to leave. After that, his relationship with John
Allan quickly fell apart.
In 1827 Poe moved to Boston and joined the army. Poe wrote many poems while he was enlisted, but
none of them became popular. He was admitted to the US Military Academy, but was forced to leave

In line 8 it says if hope has flown away which is personification because hope cannot fly. This relates
to the theme because she losing someone hope has usually gone away. The next device Poe uses is
symbolism. In lines 20 21 it says Them with a tighter clasp? Oh them I cannot save! which symbolizes
people dying in the narrator s life, and not being able to save them no matter how hard you try. The
correlates to the theme because the theme is about losing people and and your grief won t go away,
and the narrator is grieving about not being able to save them . The last piece of figurative language is
hyperbole. In lines 10 11 it reads All that we see or seem is all a dream within a dream which means
life feels like a dream, but is a hyperbole because life is not a dream and it is an exaggeration. This
supports the theme because the author has clearly lost someone making life feel like a dream, and his

21. Tundra Biomes
Biomes are regions of the world with similar climate (weather, temperature) animals and plants.
And in this project on biomes i will be talking about one type of biome and that is tundra.
Tundra is the coldest of all the biomes. Tundra comes from the Finnish word tunturia, meaning
treeless plain. It is noted for its frost molded landscapes, extremely low temperatures, little
precipitation, poor nutrients, and short growing seasons. Dead organic material functions as a nutrient
pool. The two major nutrients are nitrogen and phosphorus. Nitrogen is created by biological fixation,
and phosphorus is created by precipitation. Tundra is separated into two types: arctic tundra and alpine
tundra.

Of the North American, Scandinavian and Russian tundras, the Scandinavian tundra is the warmest,
with winter temperatures averaging 18°F ( 8°C)
The tundra is basically like a desert when it comes to precipitation. Only about 6 10 inches of
precipitation (mostly snow) fall each year. Below the soil is the tundra s permafrost, a permanently
frozen layer of earth. During the short summers the top layer of soil may thaw just long enough to let
plants grow and reproduce. Since it can t sink into the ground, water from melting permafrost and
snow forms lakes and marshes each summer.
There is barely any vegetation in the tundra, only about 1,700 different species, which isn t very much.
These are mostly shrubs, sedges, mosses, lichens and grasses. There are about 400 varieties of
flowers. The growing season is only about 50 to 60 days long. There are no trees, except for some
birches in the lower latitudes. The ground is always frozen beneath the top layer of soil, so trees can t
send their roots down. Willows do grow on some parts of the tundra but only as low carpets about 3
inches (8 cm) high. Most plants grow in a dense mat of roots which has developed over thousands of
years. The soil is very low in nutrients and minerals, except where animal droppings

Tragedies of life is not death but what we let die inside of us while we live. In A Doll House by Henrik

Although they are similar these two characters have a difference, which is that Oedipus killed

mistakes both Nora and Oedipus condemn are virtuous. Each play begins with a huge unintentional

power in the relationship while Nora is a housewife. Torvald treats Nora as an innocent child/doll. The

money with taking risks which in this case, she put the money to treat Torvald s illness. Torvald is in
love with an illusion of Nora while Nora herself has never really seen how Torvald is than a romantic
man rather than a practical, self centered and unromantic businessman. In Oedipus the King. Jocasta
and Oedipus have a happy marriage but unknowingly unpleasant since both are mother and son. They
have four children together. Jocasta supports Oedipus to believe that he did not kill Laois the king and
married his mother. However, Jocasta in the beginning of the play she supports Laios her first husband

23. The Nature Of The Poetry Of Percy Shelley s Mutability
Shelley Percy is one of the most highly regarded Romantic poets of the 19th century. Many of Shelley
s poem tell about the nature of the human condition. In many of his poems Shelley use elements of
nature (seashells, the wind, the ocean, etc.) to discuss truths about the human condition. Percy Shelley
examines the one consistent characteristic of being human in his poem Mutability . In his poem
Mutability Shelley shows the fragility and unpredictability of the human condition.
The poem opens with the speaker comparing humans to clouds that veil the midnight moon (Line 1).
The clouds move radiantly across the sky and cover the light of the moon. The words speed , gleam ,
quiver and streaking personify the cloud image. Shelley describes the cloud s actions as a metaphor
for human actions, How restlessly they speed, and gleam, and quiver, / streaking the darkness
radiantly! (Lines 2 3). He believes that humans go through life with speed, not taking time to rest; like
clouds at night, we do not last forever. Shelley s use of the word of veil instead of covers creates a
sense of purposefully hidden light. In lines three to four of the poem the wondrous sight is eventually
extinguished by the darkness, yet soon/ Night closes round, and they are lost forever. By using this
image of the night Shelley shows the cycle of change and demonstrates human morality. The speaker
is pointing out that humans have short lives on Earth and regardless of how radiantly we may shine,
we are like clouds at night that are overshadowed.
In the second stanza Shelley describes the frailty of human existence. In lines five through nine
humans are describes as forgotten lyres, whose dissonant strings/ Give various response to each
varying blast,/ To whose frail frame no second motion brings/ One mood or modulation like the last.
Shelley uses this as a metaphor that expands on the concept of human morality. In this stanza humans
are compared to forgotten lyres saying that we will be forgotten when we are dead and gone. The
different moods of the stanza are created by the different sounds of the lyre. Humans are being
compared to instruments with beautifully melodies have been forgotten. Shelley is saying that once

Kyrie Irving holding equal importance. But perhaps the most impactful match up is Klay Thompson
and J.R Smith. The Warriors have a big 4, while the Cavaliers have a traditional big 3. Contrary to

The stark contrast between both players may not even be in their pure production level, but rather in
their confidence. J.R Smith s confidence seems to be at an all time high. Klay Thompson s seems to be
at its lowest point since his rookie and sophomore seasons, if that. Their roles in the offense differ,
however. J.R Smith plays about 25 minutes a game, to Klay s 35. Thompson is looked upon to do
more for Golden State, which includes but is not limited to: guarding the opposing team s best
perimeter player, coming off screens for threes, and a higher volume of shots attempted. However, it is
J.R Smith who s production will be more vital. The Cavaliers thankfully have many safety nets for
Smith in the event of lackluster play. The addition of Kyle Korver gives Cleveland flexibility at the 2
guard spot, with a deadeye three point shooter who can keep up with the likes of the splash brothers in
the long ball department. A defensive liability admittedly, the Cavs also have Iman Shumpert at their
disposal. A great defender who plays better off ball defense than Smith, Shump often times has a
sporadic offensive game which comes and goes. J.R Smith will be the bearer of tremendous burden.
Looked upon to be that fourth scorer for Cleveland s front line, Smith will have to come into the
lineup prepared to play smart above all things, and execute at an efficient rate. The Warriors also have

Governments are being overthrown and altered, people are viewing religion in a new way where the

up altering the people that existed in the world never really changed the world itself until the 1800s.
During the 1800s the world s employment forces became very enormous, food quantity was constant,
raw resources were assessable, and transportation developed in to a dependable source for roaming to

Very often, the WUM methods just translate the logs into the proper input format for the DM

and naturalism. While the two were very similar in their beliefs and ideals there were still many
apparent distinctions to differentiate the two. Realism and naturalism showed themselves in many
aspects of life, from art and sciences to new math techniques and even religion. However, above all
else these movements may have been most evident in the literature of this time. Reading through
American literature of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, it becomes perceptible which short
stories portray realism and which represent nationalism. Mark Twain s humorous tale, The Notorious
Jumping Frog of Calaveras Country, clearly shows Twain s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

As Bierce explains, The man who was engaged in being hanged was apparently about thirty five years
of age. He was a civilian, if one might judge from his habit, which was a planter. An attention to
specific details is given especially in Part I when the setting is being described. Countless adjectives
are used, giving the reader the understanding of the scene so that they can feel as if they are sitting in
and watching everything mentioned take place. Again, diction is used although not in the same way as
Twain had used it. Instead, a type of southern slang is used, denoting people from the North as Yanks
and to flax as tow. Finally, the last part of this story is made up on the lead character s daydream
which shows that Bierce was focusing on the psychology of the character, another very realist thing to
do in literature. Stephen Crane s ideas varied from those of Twain and Ambrose as shown in his short
story, The Open Boat. In the story, the crewmates of a diminutive boat are caught in a storm. This is
clearly more depressing than the stories of the other two authors cited but it also sanctions nature to
play a substantial role. In naturalism, nature often acts as a force that humanity cannot control. The
storm represents Crane s belief in

The United States has a residential market of more than 300 million people notwithstanding a
potential global market of more than two billion English speakers. No other country has this favorable

Before examining the effects and influences of American popular culture on the world, I need to
disclose saying culture or mainstream culture is American. It is troublesome, best case scenario, to
assert that a specific gathering of people share similar estimations of life, encounters and practices.
The 300 million people that live in the United States originate from many diverse countries and all
have distinctive cultures, religions and dialects, so it is difficult to assume that these people are a piece
of a similar American popular culture. The issues make entertaining and audacious stories as well as
make the relatives help each other to tackle the issues. What we see is the solidarity between relatives
and the way that in the long run every issue winds up plainly settled. The purpose of Family Guy is
demonstrating that troubles are constantly unraveled in an American family and there is dependably a
solitary arrangement that the family thinks of. Consequently, people far and wide can see that
regardless of how hard and absurd the issue might be, there is dependably an approach to illuminate it.

A Thought of Pure Evil Imagine having to hide a secret for many years, only to realize that it will soon

to her local post office to deliver the secret letters she has been writing for years, she accidently drops
a letter and her covert is revealed. Miss Strangeworth seems like the kindest lady in town, but after
one of neighbors discovers her secret, the entire village realizes that Miss Strangeworth is not who she
says to be. The Possibility of Evil uses components such as written letters, Miss Strangeworth and

I do. Miss Strangeworth never gave away any of her roses, although the tourists often asked her
(Jackson 249 250). Miss Strangeworth believes that it is important for her roses to stay on Pleasant
street. She is very similar to the roses and the roses reflect her character. Miss Strangeworth s outside
demeanor can be compared to the beauty of the roses, but her thoughts and feelings compare to the
thorns. For example, the townspeople recognize her as an elegant old lady with pretty dimples and her
dainty walk. However, they do not know that she writes evil letters and masks a petty spirit behind her
sophisticated manner. The roses are a significant part of the story because they reflect Adela s
character and show that Miss Strangeworth s appearance is deceiving. Miss Strangeworth is very

One theme frequently used by Poe in his writings is love. Although he was a dark person, Poe still
loved many people in his life. Before their relationship turned sour, Poe was incredibly grateful for
John Allan (Biography Edgar Allan Poe). Allan had taken Edgar in at a desperate time, and Poe loved
him as a father figure. Poe also loved his wife, Virginia, immensely. He loved Virginia so much that
when she died, he never recovered (Poet Edgar Allan Poe). His bad habits worsened and new ones
developed after her passing (Biography Edgar Allan Poe). Poe gives nearly all of his main characters
someone or something to love. So even though they are murderers or mentally unstable, they have
something that readers can relate to; they love. In The Oblong Box , Cornelius Wyatt loves his
deceased wife so much that he goes to every length possible to allow her casket to stay in his cabin
aboard a ship. Mr. Wyatt is seen sobbing over the box that holds his wife (Poe, The Complete Works
of Edgar Allan Poe 85). Poe understands this love and this pain, because of Virginia s death. In both

Renaissance and Roman architecture have displayed genius beautiful works as the result of efforts of
architects who had vision of art and science combined. The exclusion of art from architecture, as
reinforced by Durand, has removed the beauty and harmony elements that were present in older eras.
Yet the Renaissance style places emphasis on symmetry, proportion, geometry and the regularity of
parts as they are demonstrated in the architecture of classical antiquity and in particular ancient
Roman architecture, of which many examples remained. Orderly arrangements of columns, pilasters
and lintels, as well as the use of semicircular arches, hemispherical domes, niches and aedicule

yet almost very absent in Durand s. As a result, the renaissance architecture, influenced by Palladio

worked on every element of architecture in order to produce art and science rather than science alone.
For instance, Villa Rotanda , Palazzo Rucellai and many other beautiful roman temples that have high

this project to help alleviate the current parking problem at Winthrop University. Jack Allen, from
Campus Police, and Walter Hardin, Associate Vice President for Facilities Management, have shown

After years more of complaining, they decided to add a parking garage to their campus. Although this
garage eliminated 200 spaces, it added 613. The price of this garage was $5.5 million. Arkansas State
used the parking deck, as well as the reserved parking system to help alleviate their situation. Many
other campuses utilize the same systems, such as: University of Cincinnati, University of Iowa,
University of Louisville, University of Pittsburgh, University of South Florida, University of
Tennessee, University of Wisconsin, and many more.
There are currently only a handful of reserved spaces on campus, and the ground has yet to be broken
for the construction of the parking deck. In fact, Winthrop University does not even have all the funds
needed to build this parking deck. When I approached Jack Allen, of Campus Police, with my idea of
reserved parking spaces, he told me that he thought it was a good idea. Walter Hardin, when given the
same idea, seemed to think that the reserved parking system would not realistically work out but was
open to the proposal.
PROPOSED PROJECT
I am planning to find the funding needed to establish reserved parking at Winthrop University through
Campus Police and the current traffic and parking system. Hopefully, Winthrop University and
Campus Police will recognize the need and responsibility to fund these reserved parking spaces.
