Personal Narrative Essay On The Let s Road
[THE_GIRL_WHO_SAID_TOO_MUCH]
[A_SHORT_STORY_BY_M.]
Led like a convict condemned to a lifetime in prison and flanked by two incredibly capable
orderlies and bound with her arms behind her back, the girl radiated raw spite and hatred. She
didn t belong here, not at all. What happened to her was not her fault. She did not ask to by
tormented, tortured, abducted, brainwashed, raped, possessed, amongst a nasty amount of other
detestable subjugations. And yet, here the girl was, suffering further because so many others had
made her suffer. The girl was a survivor, a fighter, an apex predator. She had made it this far,
although by the skin of her teeth at certain times. For her entire existence, the girl had been
plagued with a darkness she knew all too well, a darkness that led her to the conclusion that there
was a high probability of her succumbing to it and becoming a villain, grotesquely transforming
into the type of evil beings she had fought since her early teens. Ending up either in prison,
condemned to death, or simply dead would come to no surprise to her. But being committed to a
psychiatric hospital for the most notorious and fucked up of superhumans? Unfathomable.
And yet, here the girl was. The newest resident at what was publicly know as The Swiss Institute
for Superhuman ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

animalistic. Even less human than she already appeared, what with her onyx colored skin, pure
white hair, eyebrows, eyelashes, and those damned creepy blank eyes of hers, the eyes that haunted
many a gang members dreams. And to top off her harsh appearance, the fact that she was blind

Decision To Use The Atomic Bomb
The Decision To Use The Atomic Bomb The decision by Americans to use the atomic bomb in
Hiroshima and Nagasaki created a controversial debate that has refused to end. At the same time,
it has led to a hostile relationship between USA and Japan since atomic bombing took place in
1945. Many people have been asking questions whether it was necessary to use the atomic bomb
against Japanese, especially after it led to massive loss of lives of innocent civilians. Another
controversial question is whether the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki led the end of
WW II by forcing Japan to surrender (Alperovitz 3). There are some people who support the action
by America to use the atomic bomb against Japan while there are those who oppose the decision....

The US government was insensitive to the plight of innocent civilians who were powerless. It
seems the US did not even time to assess the collateral damage that was associated with the use
of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The main focus of the US government defeated
the Japanese and to end the war. In addition, it seemed that the decision to drop atomic bomb was
also meant to scare Russians than to end WW II. Based on Alperovitz s argument, the US was
scared by the Soviet Union gaining territory in Asia and decision makers believed that the shock
and wave of an atomic bomb would scare Russians and make them

Political Cartoons
Political Cartoons Shawn Palmer University of Phoenix Political cartoons have been with us
from the 16th century to today, changing social agendas and shaping public opinion about
political office holders. The creator of each cartoon makes each one represent his or hers opinion
about what would be currently happening at that time. This paper will show you the start of
political cartoons and the role played by political cartoons in setting social agendas also it will
show how they are used today. As you open the newspaper the cartoon showing the mayor with his

According to the Journal of Public Affairs van Dijk (1998), stated that political cartoons are one
important means by which public opinion is formed. This theory was shown in the Journal Of
Public Affairs by Brinkman, 1968; Medhurst and DeSousa, 1981; Caswell, 2004; Chatterjee,
2007 to say, The strong theory of political cartoons argues that political cartoons actually
persuade and shape public attitudes, intentions, and behaviors . Reported news is supposed to
be objective and impartial, but political cartoons can mix opinions with factual beliefs (Wiid et
al. 2011).In conclusion we saw the birth of political cartoons in Great Britain in the 16th century
and on threw into the American Colony s. The first presidents and inventors of our time were
subject to political cartoons. We saw the use of political cartoons to change public opinion by
showing current and sensitive issues that people are concerned about at that time. This makes an
innocent cartoon very powerful tools that express or changes political opinions. Then as we flash
forward we see how theories have been proven to show how political cartoons have persuaded
and shaped public opinions and attitudes. How cartoons are not bound to be objective like regular
news reporting, so opinions and prescriptions can be mixed with factual beliefs. So we can see that
political cartoons are a great media that span time but also continents. They should be

Ethical Altruiism
Families that make under $39,000 a year donate more than the wealthy to charities. These
individuals are the 90% that donate while the other 10% come from rich people and wealthy
foundations (Harwood). As people are accumulating more wealth, they are being set apart from
others, and they don t see other people s needs and struggles. When a person s empathy is
aroused, they will be more likely to help altruistically (Reis). So, if the wealthy aren t seeing the
struggles of others, they can t feel empathy and will be less likely to donate. Donating money is
one of the many ways someone can help altruistically. True altruism will not benefit one personally
and some examples of that are the rescuers of Jews, volunteers, and donors. A group of... Show

Fifty five year old Sabrina Houston had been working as the Chief Elections Advisor in her
county for the last 5 years. She began working at the Elections center as a receptionist after high
school, and worked her way up to the top. The Chief Elections Advisor position requires a
college degree, and completion of a six month training course, but this was overlooked as MS.
Houston made her way to the top. The Regional Elections Advisor was fired due to the fact the he
was not supervising the Elections Advisors on the county level properly. As a result, all of the
Chief Elections Advisors throughout the various counties in the state were fired, and they had to

Consolidated Coin Caterers Corp., 517 U.S. 308 (S. Ct., 1996), where the court explains that the
ADEA limits the protected class to those that are 40 or older .
ANALYSIS
As explained by the court in Murphy, in order for someone to prove prima facie case based on age
discrimination, Ms. Houston needs to meet the following elements:
he/she is a member of a protected class he/she is qualified for the position; that he/she experienced
an adverse employment action; under circumstances giving rise to an inference of discrimination
Ms. Houston claims that she was fired because of her age. Ms. Houston is 55 years old,
therefore she belongs to a protected class under the ADEA (see O connor). According to the
facts, the whole department, were Ms. Houston worked, was fired and she had to reapply for the
position, when she reapplied, it was noted she did not have the education required for the position.
The Chief Elections Advisor position required a college degree, and completion of a six month
training course, which Ms. Houston did not have. The company decided to not accept Ms. Houston

Fluorid Water Pros And Cons
In 2014, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention reported that Americans using community
water systems had a 74% chance of receiving fluoridated water. However, many Americans do not
know that there is fluoride in their water, what the fluoride is meant to do, or how fluoridating
water has become a common practice. The lack of common knowledge on this subject helps to
explain why there is also little attention paid to the possible risks of using this process. To better
understand why the US fluoridates their water, it is important to learn the history of the subject.
Near the beginning of the 20th century, a man named Federick McKay began researching a
mysterious illness in Colorado Springs known as the Colorado Brown Stain. After studying the
natives teeth, McKay found that along with being severely discolored... Show more content on

Some of the arguments have proven to hold more weight than others. One reasonable point that is
traditionally argued is determining how individuals receive the optimal dosage of fluoride. Noting
less affluent communities tend to use tap water for often it would seem reasonable that they
would receive an increased body burden. Not only is the amount of public drinking water ingested
in each person uncontrollable, the number of fluoridated products a person uses is completely
variable. Individuals not only receive fluoride from water, but also toothpastes, mouthwash, certain
foods, and beverages, and so is it possible to control the fluoride level for each individual? In a
review of water fluoridation, the EU (European Union) Scientific Committee on Health and
Environmental Risks highlight that young children are likely to exceed the upper tolerable limits
for fluoride consumption in areas with water fluoridation greater than 0.8 ppm and using fluoride
toothpaste (Peckham and Awofeso). The delivery process of fluoride leaves much to be

The Impact Of Sexualization Of Women In Advertising
Women have always faced oppression and unequal rights. In the early 1800s, women were treated
as slaves and their purpose was to please the men in their lives (Smith, 2002). In the 1930s,
Kellogg released an advertisement stating, so the harder a wife works, the cuter she looks! which
sexualized women for their husband s enjoyment (Heilpern, 2016). One would think over seven
decades things would change, but unfortunately, similarities from both the 1800s and the 1930s are
still present today. These similarities are present in advertisingtoday as women are sexualized and
demoralized for men s enjoyment. Portraying women as objects to satisfy men s needs contributes
to a decreased view of women in society and for the female population... Show more content on

Denbeau (2011, p. 55) highlights a study that looked at the progression of exploitation of women in
advertising between 1983 and 2003. There was a substantial increase in the sexualization of women
throughout this period and they hypothesized that by 2013 this would increase again (Denbeau,
2011, p. 55). Looking at advertisements between 2003 and 2013, one could say that their
hypothesis was correct and their study findings are valid that overtime advertising will continue to
sexualize women more explicitly.
How Companies Get Away with Sexualization in Advertising At the turn of the 20th century, gender
stereotyping women in advertising became a popular marketing technique. As previously outlined,
the stereotyping and sexualization of women continued into the 21st century and is stronger than
ever. But how can companies continue with the blatant sexualization and victimization of women
for over a century? By incorporating humour into advertising, people often overlook the sexism
presented in the advertisement. Peters, Holmgreen, and Oswald (2015, p. 162) highlight that by
mixing humour and sexist material together in advertisements, the intention is to evoke benign
laughter , not to promote prejudice . Humour takes on a role in advertisements to pull consumer s
attention away from the derogatory and demoralizing content depicted. A façade has been created

How Did The Beatles Changed America
The Members of The Beatles:
Liverpool is the hometown to all of the members of the most influential band in rock history ,

February 25, 1943), and Paul McCartney, (born on all played instruments and all sang in what was

Bottle Rockets

Abstract Bottle rockets, people see them as middle school science projects where kids have fun
and build little rockets. Actually there is a lot behind bottle rockets, it s more than just throw some
plastic bottle together and glue some wings to it and fly it. The researcher chose this topic because
in his class they are doing the bottle rocket project and he wanted to find out which rocket was more
efficient for hang time. So the experimenter built some rockets and launched them and gathered the
results. In this paper there is some history of rocketry ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A good water rocket has a lot of qualities and one of them is hang time a good rocket has a good
hang time. The problem is not a lot of people know how to make a rocket with good hang time
and neither did the researcher. He wanted to find out what dimensions of a rocket would make it
have a great hang time.
Before you go into building a rocket for hang time the researcher advises to build a stable rocket
first. One important factor in designing a stable rocket is considering the stability of the bottles
used. Different bottles have different natural stabilities. Bottles with a short center section
and a long neck have a naturally high center of gravity. High, that is, if it is used as a rocket; low if
the bottle is sitting on a shelf. Newer bottles are designed this way, because they are less likely to
tip over. When we flip the bottle upside down, to be used as a rocket, this shape works to our
benefit, because the center of gravity is already high in the rocket, resulting in smaller fins and
less weight that has to be added to make a stable rocket. (Singleton IV, 2001)
There are different types of bottle rockets, for different purposes. The type of rocket we want to
build is called a backslider Backsliders are the rockets that are modified so that at apogee, instead
of flipping over and heading for the ground, they float back in a higher drag configuration than a
nose dive. This set includes true backsliders which actually fall vertically

Currently, numerous sanctions target the Iranian economy. These sanctions are implemented and

the USS Vincennes shots down an Iranian passenger plane, killing 290 civilians en route to

Essay about Socrates vs Gilgamesh
Joe Arce 19 Sept 2011 Socrates Vs. Gilgamesh Socrates view of death in the Phaedo, Crito, and
Apology is complex. His argument tries to prove that philosophers, of all people, are in the best
state to die or will be in the best state after life because of the life they lead. Socrates views are
sharply contrasted in The Epic of Gilgamesh. In fact, he would probably say that Gilgamesh had
not lived the proper kind of life and his views of life, and death would lead to an unsettled
existence in the afterlife. Socratesview of death, from his opinions on the act of dying, the state of
the soul after death, and the fear of death, differs from that of The Epic of Gilgamesh to the extent
that Socrates would refute every belief about death... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Enkidu s death is the consequence of insulting the Gods. Socrates would disagree with the belief
that death is a punishment from the Gods for several reasons. In the Phaedo, he claims that the true
lover of wisdom, that is the philosopher, must escape from the body and observe matters in
themselves with the soul by itself (Plato 103). So, since death is the separation of the soul from
the body, only at death can we gain true wisdom. He says, Wisdom itself is a kind of cleansing .
. . he who arrives [in the underworld] purified and initiated will dwell with the gods (Plato 106).
Evidently, if the soul can only attain wisdom from death and if that wisdom leads to
purification, which assures you a place with the gods, then Socrates would disagree with The
Epic of Gilgamesh that death is a punishment from the gods. This evidence leads us to a look at
the contrasting views of an afterlife. In the Phaedo, Socrates explains how the soul exists in the
afterlife through the use of two main theories, the theory of opposites and the theory of
recollection. It is important to note that he also draws a connection between the soul and wisdom
as a rationalization for his belief in an afterlife, saying, When the soul investigates by itself it
passes into the realm of what is pure, ever existing, immortal and unchanging . . . its experience
then is what we call wisdom (Plato 118). By relating the two he can

The beginning of Chapter VIII, El titiritero del Portal, opens with nature s celebration of the abject
s removal as the city itself comes alive.

deems him to be an outlier (Kristeva 1). This imagery parallels the death of another beggar earlier
in the novel Mosco (Mosquito). Chapter I, introduces Mosco as being rejected because he is blind

The Environmental Impacts Coming From Developing Mineral
The environmental impacts coming from developing mineral and energy resources from open pit
mining mainly comes from the extraction of the material once it has been deemed cost effective
to extract. What most often occurs when a site is being mined is that the material removed from
the dig site gets displaced over to the side in an area such as an open quarry mine. After the
materials are extracted the waste material is not placed back and neither is any vegetation that was
once there. One way that could help the surrounding environment would be to keep record of the
amount of material and/or vegetation removed and replace it with a similar amount once the
required material has been extracted. This would give the wildlife that had been... Show more

Mining is a relatively temporary activity due to the limited operating lives of the mining sites,
which are determined by the size and quality of the ore deposit being mined. Water is used in a
variety of applications at mine sites such as the diverting of surface water and the pumping out of
groundwater, which is a concern to all living creatures. The waste water runoff in open pit mining,
after rain water that flows through the mine, can collect numerous hazardous materials and wash
them into nearby streams or rivers. Having a collection well downhill from the mining site can aid
in the collection of this waste water runoff, but would only help if the tank never reached an
overflow situation. Mining operations can work to reduce the quantity of water used and increase
the quality of water available downstream for aquatic ecosystems and other industrial and
municipal water users, especially in areas with dry climates. In Canada, mining had one of the
highest water recycling rates among the industrial divisions, and between 1996 and 2005 reduced
its total water intake around 30%. This drop in the water use happened around the same time that
the value of production increased around 45%, meaning that the water intake per dollar of their
production had also declined. Water management strategies are being used at most

Tracy Turnblad Tradition
From the minute she enters your screen, Tracy Turnblad (played by newcomer Nikki Blonsky) is
a pleasantly plump teenager whose energy and positivity radiates throughout the entire movie,
even when times are tough. Her screen debut is a walk through her town of Baltimore, singing
and dancing on her way to school. When the bell rings to come home, Tracy and her best friend,
Penny (Amanda Bynes) race home to catch the Corny Collins Show, an all white daily television
show show that plays all of the coolest tunes and newest dances in Baltimore. Tracy knows that if
given the chance, she could make it on the show, even though her mom is constantly disapproving
the idea.

Along with their amazingly played roles, costume and script worked together to put a new character
to multiple familiar faces. It cannot be denied that the array of teenaged actors stole the show, that
of which included Zac Efron, Amanda Bynes, Brittany Snow, and Elijah Kelley.
When referring to its predecessors, the 2007 Hairspray is its own movie. Respecting Hairspray
tradition, Edna Turnblad is played by a man dressed in drag, this time by John Travolta. As
exuberant as the first two, the only downfall this new movie has would be the fact that the issue of
race was downplayed compared to the originals. It is still discussed, and with the constantly bubbly
tone set in the rest of the movie, the serious tone this topic brings on is appropriate, but any fan of
the Waters filmor broadway production will notice this fault when comparing the three productions.
Overall, Hairspray is the perfect blend of music, dance, and story that will leave you singing and
dancing for days. Blonsky s Tracy Turnblad will inspire you to step outside of your comfort zone

The New Common Core State Standards
Voices across the country are raising concerns about the new Common Core State Standards. But if
you listen carefully to the conversations, the main concern is not about the standards, themselves,
but about the consequences of high stakes tests attached to the standards. And those concerns are
well founded. Trying to implement goals for deeper learning through an outdated testing model
tied to a long list of punishments for children, educators, and schools is like pouring new wine
into old bottles. It will certainly turn sour. The Common Core, for those of you unaware, is a set of
standards , skills and requirements children need to understand by the end of the school year. Here

The ultimate goal intended was to ensure that students across the country are prepared to enter
college programs or the workforce after high school. Governors Association convened a panel of
experts to create the guidelines and standards that became Common Core. Yet, according to Stan
Karp, editor for Rethinking Schools magazine and education activist, said that the standards were
drafted largely behind closed doors by academics and assessment experts, many with ties to
testing companies , Karp also stated that In all, there were 135 people on the review panels for the
Common Core. Not a single one of them was a K 3 classroom teacher or early childhood
professional (Karp 2014). The initiative s purpose is to implement consistent, nationwide education
standards in English and math, with the goal of helping ensure that high school graduates across
the country are ready for college or for employment. Although Common Core isn t a federal law, the
federal government supports it by providing grants that are only available to those states that have
adopted its guidelines and standards. The joint issue for the common core would the new wave of

Sacrifice by Fire Essay
Sacrifice by fire. The pleading children, the debilitating elderly, and the cynical women all have the
same look of fear when they hear the word Holocaust. Approximately six million brave Jews were
brutally murdered during the dreadful era of the Holocaust. These Jews were ordinary humans who
hadn t committed a crime, hadn t encouraged any riots and hadn t leveled any threats. They were
citizens of their home countries who had the capability of contributing several intellectual
achievements to the world. In the concentration camps, they were tortured, both physically and
psychologically, starved, beaten, forced to live like animals and literally worked to death.

Even though the times of Holocaust are relatively recent, the story of the Holocaust is not as
simple as it may appear. For many people this time will be something they will never overlook,
because it was a ferocious battle for survival. It was a time of challenges and disputes for the right
to live, a time when Jews were killed just for being who they were, a time when a person with a
yellow star was condemned to certain death. We should remember that a little over seventy years
ago, there were six million people obliterated from this earth. The rotting, stacked corpses and the
children screaming with excruciating pain when torn away from their mothers have taught us the
lesson of fear and prejudice that I relevant to this day. We remember those innocent Jews who
were treated cruelly just for being human beings. We owe our condolences to the people who died,
got tortured in concentration camps and those who escaped and saw their loved ones dying at their

The Poisonwood Bible Satire
In the Belgian Congo, rubber plantation owners cut off the hands of their workers if their quota
was not met. Mistreatment of the people by the country imperializing them was a common
practice. King Leopold II used the Congo as a cash cow while lying about helping the Congolese
natives. Barbara Kingsolver wrote The Poisonwood Biblein order to shine a light on the United
States and Belgium s complicity in the Congo s political turmoil. She was thought to be one of the

As Kingsolver predicted that readers would feel most sympathetic to this character, she chooses
to have Leah marry a Congolese man from the village where the family lived. Kingsolver wrote
this plot twist in an attempt to bridge the gap between two cultures, to show readers, and society
as a whole, that while the cultures are different there is a common ground and there can be
happiness, but it is not always so simple. The attempt to bridge the gap was evident in Leah s
description of her and Anatole s wedding, At my request we were married in that room by the
village chief, in a ceremony that was neither quite Christian nor Bantu. I asked for God s blessing
and carried red bougainvillea flowers for my mother. Aunt Elisabet draped around our shoulders
the traditional marriage cloth called mole, a beautiful double sized pagne that symbolizes the
togetherness of marriage (Kingsolver 221). Thought it was not the traditional marriage every white
American girl dreams of having, for her it was everything she could have hoped for. With the
flowers representing her culture, and the cloth representing Anatole s culture, the two very different
cultures are able to intermingle and readers are then able to see it as though they were there.
Multiple chapters throughout the novel illustrate the struggles Leah and her Congolese family still
experience while the rest of her American family had already left the Congo and moved on to

Southwest Airlines flight crews regularly contribute to the company s promotional activities
through building the Southwest brand, engaging the target market, and enhancing Southwest
Airlines beyond the budget flight.
Building the Brand: Southwest Airlines is well known as a Texas based company that has a human
side and a down home attitude. Because of its large size, Southwest Airlines uses a variety of larger
promotional methods, such as national advertisements and strong public relations to promote an
image of a fun LUVing brand. But, flight crews are the closest interactions that a customer has with
the product, budget flights, which are a simple, undistinguished product. The quirky commercials
and cheap flights appeal to a target market that is budget conscious but still enjoys the fun side of
life. The flight crews bridge the gap between the fun, unique commercials and the actual flight
experience. By interacting with customers and joking around with passengers, they are able to
grow customer allegiance in this market by acting in the same way that the brand has tried to
portray itself.
Engaging the target market: Southwest Airlines attracts both budget conscious customers and those
who are looking to have an interesting travel experience. Oftentimes, these two targets overlap as
one market. The flight crews are supposed to display a Warrior Spirit, a Servant s Heart, and a Fun

Prometheus And The Instinctive Man
Prometheus, a tale over 2000 years old, is still as relevant in the modern era as it was all those years
ago in Athens. Prometheus is seen throughout the 20th and 21st centuries, especially in pop
culture, frequently as a martyr and hero, however there is a much more profound parallel that can
be made about his timeless character. He represents the consequences of when one seeks
knowledge, independency, and especially enlightenment. From his deviance to his torture, we see
how prometheusand the modern man are alike. Prometheus gave humans fire, by doing so that
meant that he no longer needed nor respected the gods and that humans would soon follow that
example. Prometheus offered an escape from the patriarchal Zeus, who can be compared to the
Judeo Christian God, and for doing so he... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

My Consumption Of Soda By Coca Cola
I grew up in a home where nothing artificial was allowed, only organic and natural. If it came from
a garden or a field it usually made it to our table. We drank hot tea every day, there was never any
popcorn, pizza, or soda. I still remember the first time I had a slice of pizza and an ice cold glass of
Coca Cola in 1990. It was like a whole new world had opened up before me. I had fallen in love
with soda. I loved the sugary sweet stuff, with its carbonation dancing down your throat sip by sip.
It was heavenly. From that day on, no more hot tea, only soda all the way the colder the better. As
the years past my fondness of soda grew into an obsession. Somewhere in a twenty year span it
became normal for me to go to Walmart and buy 14 20 two liters of Coca Cola ever week and yes I
did drink that much soda every week.
My consumption of soda was so extreme that my friends and family regularly made fun of me
for having Coca Cola in my veins instead of blood and teasing me often by asking me if I
wanted water to thin it out some. It all came to ahead in the summer of 2010. I had just finished
mowing the grass and I was worn out and exhausted. I drank my soda with a lot of ice and
started to feel even worse. That is how my family found me on the couch, exhausted and white as
a sheet. The only thing I could do was look up at them, my limbs felt like lead. Both of my
daughters, Jessica and Eileen, insisted I drink the glass of water they had handed to me. My best

School Is An Important Part Of Our Lives
School is an important part of our lives. School help prepare our children for college and later on
life in the big world. Since school is such an important part of our lives, there are many types for
schools that have been developed with different viewpoints and ways of teaching. First, you have
our public schools. Next, is our religious affiliated private schools and our non religion affiliated
private schools. Lastly, are the alternative schools. Public schools are schools that are funded by the
state. A majority of students in the U.S. attend public schools. My children attend public schools
and in a public schoolthere is no need to pay money to attend public schools. The good things
about public schools is that it s free to attend and they provide their students with school buses
for transportation. Although, a bad thing would be if you want your child to attend a certain
public school and you do not live their district, then you would have to pay tuition. Private
schools are very common especially in foreign countries. In foreign countries schools are private
because usually the government does not have the money needed to fund a public school. There
are two types of private schools; religious and non religious private schools. Firstly, private
schools are simply schools that are not funded by the state, that have the ability to make their own
codes and rules, such as wearing a school uniform. In a religion based private school, the school is

The newly appointed CEO, Scott Livengood, realized the problem with the sluggish sales was
because of the company s current strategy.
After becoming CEO, president, and chairman of the board in 1999, the company repositioned and
focused on being a specialty retailer rather than a wholesale bakery. Krispy Kreme wanted to give
their customers the hot doughnut experience they all knew and loved (Peter Donnelly, 2011). The
second part of their plan was to increase the number of stores both franchises, and company
owned nationally. The company began to move into other regions. For example, in 1996 the first
store in NY City was opened, and in 1999 the first store in California opened. In early 2000, the
company went public and merged into a new company called Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Inc.,
instead of Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation. From 2000 2004, the number of stores has
proliferated from 144 to 357 and Krispy Kreme is now beginning to open in international locations,

Malnutrition And Crohn s Disease
Malnutrition is a condition in which a person is not getting the right amount of nutrients that they
need to remain healthy. It can range from being mild to being detrimental to both physical and
mental health. It can occur because a person is not eating a diet that provides enough nutrients the
body needs, or the person is not absorbing the nutrients that the body is receiving. Even lacking one
vitamin from your diet is considered malnutrition. Malnutrition can also be a result of Crohn s
disease, cystic fibrosis, celiac disease, or persistent diarrhea or vomiting. Having anorexia is also a
cause of malnutrition because of the restrictive calorie intake. Drug addiction or being an alcoholic
can affect the body s ability to absorb the nutrients which will cause malnutrition as well. It is

Since the first real forms of feminist expression came about, it has and will remain a topic of
serious discussion and debate. However, thanks to women like Kate Chopin and Jane Austin
feminism was able to reach a much larger crowd and project its message on to more than just its
few basic closet followers. Throughout the Victorian era, many women began to question their
place in this world. Self expression became a more common thing among women and thus works
of literature and art such as The Awakening and Emma came to be. These two novels especially

Edna wasn t sure of what exactly she wanted, but she did know what she didn t want and made
sure to get as far away from that as possible. Part of her journey to accepting herself was
overcoming the monetary things of life. In chapter thirty nine, Edna frees herself of one of the
most basic human things, clothing. Edna had found her old bathing suit still hanging, faded, upon
its accustomed peg. She put it on, leaving her clothing in the bath house. But when she was there
beside the sea, absolutely alone, she cast the unpleasant, pricking garments from her, and for the
first time in her life she stood naked in the open air, at the mercy of the sun, the breeze that beat
upon her, and the waves that invited her. How strange and awful it seemed to stand naked under
the sky! How delicious! She felt like some new born creature, opening its eyes in a familiar world
that it had never known. This was her first step towards freedom This is why the symbol of the bird
is so important throughout the novel. Birds have the capability to go wherever they want, whenever
they please, yet they often don t use these benefits. This is because moving on to something new
or experiencing a new challenge is not always easy and although it might not be what is best for a
person it is often easiest to just stay in the same spot and accept the cards that have been dealt. A

Giovanni Gabrieli Research Paper
Giovanni Gabrieli was a legendary composer of the 16th century. As the fundamental structure and
ideas of the Catholic Church were being challenged by the Protestant Reformation and the Counter
Reformation, Gabrieli s compositions were given the opportunity to be successful and influential to
music in the coming centuries. His works helped to transform not only church music of the Catholic
Church, but also secular music as well. Giovanni Gabrieli wrote significant works that ultimately
shaped the rise of the symphony, including the development of purely instrumental works, the art of
orchestration, and the concerto style. Without his innovations in composition, it is arguable that
instrumental music would not have developed as quickly, or developed... Show more content on

This led to several rebellions, which were silenced for a short time until they could not be repressed
anymore. Finally, in 16th century, Martin Luther and other reformers challenged Roman Catholic
authority and their corruption of the church, which is now known as the Protestant Reformation.
The revolts happened in many different countries the western world, however, they all had
fundamental ideas in common. Two changes they called for were the end of the church s hierarchy,
and the emphasis of everyone being able to access and individually learn the original Biblical
scriptures in their vernacular language (Taruskin, pg. 207 208). Even though the focus of this
revolution was not about music, the ideals ended up influencing church music. Many composers,
including Martin Luther, endeavored to make music more accessible by translating it into the
common, everyday language, shifting the singing in church services to the congregation rather than
just having the choir sing, and making music simpler for everyone to grasp. Luther wrote music in
the form of chorales and strophic union hymns that were taken from Gregorian chant (Taruskin, pg.
206 210). In response to the Protestant Reformation, the Counter Reformation emerged out of the
Catholic Church. Music took on a more inspirational quality, and its primary goal was to affect the
listener. Polychoral music was very popular, in addition to the concerted style (Taruskin, pg.

Human Respiratory System
Pulmonary ventilation is a basic human function that we do without thought. It is commonly
believed of us our lungs expand and release air and is performed in a healthy human being 12 20
times a minute, essential this is the case but understanding the mechanical process of the
physiology can assist in the understanding of the amazing process of respiration. (Marieb and
Hoehn, 2014).
The structures of our respiratory system include the nasal cavity and oral cavity, pharynx, larynx,
trachea, bronchi, lungs, heart and ribs. The process of respiration occurs in two stages, Inspiration
and expiration and the main structures involved in this process are the lungs, ribs, intercostal
muscle and the diaphragm (a fibrous muscle that separates your thoracic ... Show more content on

At this stage, the volume in the lungs increases (intrapulmonary pressure) from the external
intercostal muscle contracting to raise the ribs and the diaphragm depress. The diaphragm contracts
by moving down increasing the area of the thoracic cavity and your intercostal muscles contract
outwards resulting in the intrapulmonary volume to increase and the intrapulmonary pressure drops
to 759mmHg resulting in a 1 mmHg drop. Allowing the oxygen to flow down the pressure gradient
filling up the lungs. The intrapleural pressure decreases in inhalation (inspiration) when the
external intercostal contract. After inspiration we have an expiration, this is where we have the
diaphragm relaxing it the moves up and internal intercostal muscles and transverse thoracic
muscles depress. Expiration (exhalation) results in intrapulmonary volume to decreases from
760mmHg and the intrapulmonary pressure will increase to 761 mmHg which results in a
difference of +1 mmHg compared to the atmospheric pressure of 760 mmHg. Another process that
is return to a normal pressure is also the intrapleural pressure once the intercostal return to a
depress stage. This will then release gases back out of the lungs due to the pressure gradient where
gases will move from an area of high to low. (Hasudungan,

January W. Payne s Article Caught In The Web
In the article, Caught in the Web: More People Say Heavy Internet Use is Disrupting Their Lives,
and Medical Experts are Paying Attention by January W. Payne argues that using technology too
much, has consequences that can affect the people around, and the individual s health as well. At
the same time, many people use internet excessively, and do not realize that, they might get further
from the outside world. According to a research by Stanford University, demonstrated, that people

People, who used internet too much, tend to have migraines, and later on, affect the brain. When
people are hook in the internet for long hours, and start having migraines, it might be a sign that
they are overusing internet. Unfortunately, some people do not take this seriously, do not stop,
and keep using technology in a way that they know they should not. Having migraines can be a
primary physical symptom to something else. In the same article, Step Away from the Screen:
Studies suggest too much technology might actually damage the brain by Paul Rogers, Multiple
studies have shown... that is, the shrinkage or loss or brain tissue volume due to Internet or

worsened with longer durations of Internet addiction (1). Do it, of too much internet use, society

Holding True to Convictions in a World of Differences Essays
INTRODUCTION We live in a world full of people who hold different beliefs and convictions.
Many of them may even be different from our own. For example John Haught, in his book God
and the New Atheism shares his belief that, Science alone can tell us what religion is really all
about, and it can provide better answers than theology to every important question people ask (x).
Berger and Zijderveld, on the other hand, argue in In Praise of Doubt that, Whether God does or
does not exist in cosmic reality is another question. And this question cannot be answered by the
empirical sciences: God cannot be the object of an experiment (1).
Even among religious scholars, ideologies differ. In the following pages I will employ both Haught
and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This circumvention is comparable to creationists rejecting evolution without ever having taken a
course in biology (29). Haught believes that the new atheist s theological literacy is closely related
to that of religious fundamentalists.
The new atheists scarcely notice the irony in their intolerance of religious tolerance he says, On the
one hand they bring up past inquisitions as evidence of the evils of religion, but on the other they
now excoriate theological moderates who espouse the new spirit of tolerance. Moreover, they seem
not to notice that the very same liberal tolerance in modern Western history that influenced the
Catholic Church to change its stand on religious freedom provides the cultural space and freedom
of expression by which the new atheists themselves are permitted to vent their own literalist ideas
(Haught 37, 38). Here, Haught points out the intolerance of the new atheists and one can easily see
that he does not approve.
In the book In Praise of Doubt, Berger and Zijderveld argue that it is possible for individuals to hold
moral certainty about societal values without succumbing to the extremes of either 1) the new
atheists fundamentalism (complete lack of certainty) or 2) relativism (absolute certainty). One of
their main points throughout the majority of this book is the idea that modernity leads to plurality.
They explain, Modernization

How Is Lady Capulet Careless
Lad Capulet= Carelessness In Shakespeare s Romeo and Juliet, Lady Capulet showcases that; she
plays as a carless character throughout the play. Firstly, Juliet tries to explain how she does not
want to marry Paris, O sweet my mother, cast me not away! Delay this marriage for a month, a
week, or if you do not, make the bridal bed. In that dim monument where Tybaltlies. (III. V. 198
201) Lady Capulet replies, Talk not to me, for I ll not speak a word. Do as thou wilt, for I have
done with thee. (III.V. 201 202) Here it showcases, that she did not care about her anymore at this
point as well with she does not want anything to do with Juliet. As a mother I would talk to her
about the problem and help find a solution to make things well, but she... Show more content on

Secondly, Lord Capulet tells, his wife about Juliet s marriage and asks, How now wife, have you

she gives you thanks. I would the fool were married to her grace. (III.V.139 140) Here it shows,
Lady Capulet does not speak against her husband, Lord Capulet because she does not want to
irritate nor disappoint him and Juliet. Overall, her mother does not stand up for her own daughter
s opinions. Thirdly, when Juliet kneels down on her knees and begs to not marry Paris, I beseech
you on my knees, hear me with patience but to speak a word. (III.V 158 159) Response from Lord

Social Cultural Context Of Behavior Change Interventions
Much of the current scholarly literature argues that managing workplace culture is an increasingly
vital subject in any organisation. Workplace culture, also known as organizational culture can be
defined as the values, beliefs, norms and assumptions that contribute to the unique social and
psychological environment of any organization (The Business Dictionary, 2015). Research has
recognized that a strong workplace culture is not only important for the successfulness and
sustainability of a company, but for the welfare of the individuals who work in it (Glisson, 2007).
Over the years numerous interventions have been implemented within organisations in order to
improveworkplace culture. This review will aim to report findings on the social cultural context of
behaviour change interventions based on teamwork interventions, mindfulness interventions
leadershiptraining interventions.
Teamwork is a significant element in any workplace, as it offers all employees the sense of unity,
reliability and support, and gives them the ability to work together efficiently. An intervention
conducted by Bleakley et al (2012) aimed to investigate whether an education intervention would
result in a significant development of attitudes towards teamwork across a surgical provision. The
intervention was based on Crew Resource Management (CRM), which uses participatory action
research to familiarize the strategies within the specific team context. A longitudinal quasi

Charles Baudelaire And John Wieners
A Comparison Between the Responses of Charles Baudelaire and John Wieners to
Modernization In order to compare the poetry of Charles Baudelaire and John Wieners within
the context of modernity, one must recognize the discrepancy between their time periods.
Baudelaire was born in Paris in 1821, and much of his work was published after the February
Revolution of 1848. John Wieners, on the other hand, was born in 1934 67 years after Baudelaire
s death near Boston, Massachusetts. Both poets explored sexual and drug related themes that
opposed the conventions of their society. However, poets played a larger role in Baudelaire s
modern society than in Wieners s. People in Baudelaire s modern society read for entertainment as
well as instruction, so therefore, as a source of this entertainment, the poet and his contemporaries
would naturally inhabit the mainstream, insofar as their occupation if not their fame. John Wieners,
on the other hand, was pushed into the fringe of his society s consciousness. Part of this push
likely had to do with new and less demanding forms of entertainment such as television and record
players. However, the much more likely caused by the subject matter of his poems. It is true that
like Baudelaire, John Wieners challenged societal norms, but unlike Baudelaire, his occupation as a
poet drew little attention to the skill so clearly evident within his poems. Both poets describe the
modern urban landscape they inhabit within their poems. For example,

And yet, here the girl was, suffering further because so many others had made her suffer. The girl was a survivor, a fighter, an apex predator. She had made it this far, although by the skin of her teeth at certain times. For her entire existence, the girl had been plagued with a darkness she knew all too well, a darkness that led her to the conclusion that there was a high probability of her succumbing to it and becoming a villain, grotesquely transforming into the type of evil beings she had fought since her early teens. Ending up either in prison, condemned to death, or simply dead would come to no surprise to her. But being committed to a psychiatric hospital for the most notorious and fucked up of superhumans? At the same time, it has led to a hostile relationship between USA and Japan since atomic bombing took place in 1945. Many people have been asking questions whether it was necessary to use the atomic bomb against Japanese, especially after it led to massive loss of lives of innocent civilians. • 8. Fluorid Water Pros And Cons In 2014, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention reported that Americans using community water systems had a 74% chance of receiving fluoridated water. However, many Americans do not know that there is fluoride in their water, what the fluoride is meant to do, or how fluoridating water has become a common practice. The lack of common knowledge on this subject helps to explain why there is also little attention paid to the possible risks of using this process. To better understand why the US fluoridates their water, it is important to learn the history of the subject. Near the beginning of the 20th century, a man named Federick McKay began researching a mysterious illness in Colorado Springs known as the Colorado Brown Stain. After studying the natives teeth, McKay found that along with being severely discolored... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Some of the arguments have proven to hold more weight than others. Noting less affluent communities tend to use tap water for often it would seem reasonable that they would receive an increased body burden. Not only is the amount of public drinking water ingested in each person uncontrollable, the number of fluoridated products a person uses is completely variable. Individuals not only receive fluoride from water, but also toothpastes, mouthwash, certain foods, and beverages, and so is it possible to control the fluoride level for each individual? In a review of water fluoridation, the EU (European Union) Scientific Committee on Health and Environmental Risks highlight that young children are likely to exceed the upper tolerable limits for fluoride consumption in areas with water fluoridation greater than 0.8 ppm and using fluoride toothpaste (Peckham and Awofeso). • 9. The Impact Of Sexualization Of Women In Advertising Women have always faced oppression and unequal rights. In the early 1800s, women were treated as slaves and their purpose was to please the men in their lives (Smith, 2002). In the 1930s, Kellogg released an advertisement stating, so the harder a wife works, the cuter she looks! which sexualized women for their husband s enjoyment (Heilpern, 2016). One would think over seven decades things would change, but unfortunately, similarities from both the 1800s and the 1930s are still present today. These similarities are present in advertisingtoday as women are sexualized and demoralized for men s enjoyment. Portraying women as objects to satisfy men s needs contributes to a decreased view of women in society and for the female population... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Denbeau (2011, p. 55) highlights a study that looked at the progression of exploitation of women in advertising between 1983 and 2003. There was a substantial increase in the sexualization of women throughout this period and they hypothesized that by 2013 this would increase again (Denbeau, 2011, p. 55). Looking at advertisements between 2003 and 2013, one could say that their hypothesis was correct and their study findings are valid that overtime advertising will continue to sexualize women more explicitly. How Companies Get Away with Sexualization in Advertising At the turn of the 20th century, gender stereotyping women in advertising became a popular marketing technique. As previously outlined, the stereotyping and sexualization of women continued into the 21st century and is stronger than ever. But how can companies continue with the blatant sexualization and victimization of women for over a century? By incorporating humour into advertising, people often overlook the sexism presented in the advertisement. Peters, Holmgreen, and Oswald (2015, p. 162) highlight that by mixing humour and sexist material together in advertisements, the intention is to evoke benign laughter , not to promote prejudice . Humour takes on a role in advertisements to pull consumer s attention away from the derogatory and demoralizing content depicted. A faГ§ade has been created ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The problem is not a lot of people know how to make a rocket with good hang time and neither did the researcher. He wanted to find out what dimensions of a rocket would make it have a great hang time. Before you go into building a rocket for hang time the researcher advises to build a stable rocket first. One important factor in designing a stable rocket is considering the stability of the bottles used. Diп¬Ђerent bottles have diп¬Ђerent natural stabilities. Bottles with a short center section and a long neck have a naturally high center of gravity. High, that is, if it is used as a rocket; low if the bottle is sitting on a shelf. Newer bottles are designed this way, because they are less likely to tip over. When we flip the bottle upside down, to be used as a rocket, this shape works to our beneп¬Ѓt, because the center of gravity is already high in the rocket, resulting in smaller п¬Ѓns and less weight that has to be added to make a stable rocket. (Singleton IV, 2001) There are different types of bottle rockets, for different purposes. The type of rocket we want to build is called a backslider Backsliders are the rockets that are modified so that at apogee, instead of flipping over and heading for the ground, they float back in a higher drag configuration than a nose dive. • 19. Essay about Socrates vs Gilgamesh Joe Arce 19 Sept 2011 Socrates Vs. Gilgamesh Socrates view of death in the Phaedo, Crito, and Apology is complex. His argument tries to prove that philosophers, of all people, are in the best state to die or will be in the best state after life because of the life they lead. Socrates views are sharply contrasted in The Epic of Gilgamesh. In fact, he would probably say that Gilgamesh had not lived the proper kind of life and his views of life, and death would lead to an unsettled existence in the afterlife. Socratesview of death, from his opinions on the act of dying, the state of the soul after death, and the fear of death, differs from that of The Epic of Gilgamesh to the extent that Socrates would refute every belief about death... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Enkidu s death is the consequence of insulting the Gods. Socrates would disagree with the belief that death is a punishment from the Gods for several reasons. In the Phaedo, he claims that the true lover of wisdom, that is the philosopher, must escape from the body and observe matters in themselves with the soul by itself (Plato 103). So, since death is the separation of the soul from the body, only at death can we gain true wisdom. He says, Wisdom itself is a kind of cleansing . . . he who arrives [in the underworld] purified and initiated will dwell with the gods (Plato 106). Evidently, if the soul can only attain wisdom from death and if that wisdom leads to purification, which assures you a place with the gods, then Socrates would disagree with The Epic of Gilgamesh that death is a punishment from the gods. This evidence leads us to a look at the contrasting views of an afterlife. In the Phaedo, Socrates explains how the soul exists in the afterlife through the use of two main theories, the theory of opposites and the theory of recollection. It is important to note that he also draws a connection between the soul and wisdom as a rationalization for his belief in an afterlife, saying, When the soul investigates by itself it passes into the realm of what is pure, ever existing, immortal and unchanging . . . its experience then is what we call wisdom (Plato 118). • 22. The Environmental Impacts Coming From Developing Mineral The environmental impacts coming from developing mineral and energy resources from open pit mining mainly comes from the extraction of the material once it has been deemed cost effective to extract. What most often occurs when a site is being mined is that the material removed from the dig site gets displaced over to the side in an area such as an open quarry mine. Mining is a relatively temporary activity due to the limited operating lives of the mining sites, which are determined by the size and quality of the ore deposit being mined. Water is used in a variety of applications at mine sites such as the diverting of surface water and the pumping out of groundwater, which is a concern to all living creatures. The waste water runoff in open pit mining, after rain water that flows through the mine, can collect numerous hazardous materials and wash them into nearby streams or rivers. Having a collection well downhill from the mining site can aid in the collection of this waste water runoff, but would only help if the tank never reached an overflow situation. Mining operations can work to reduce the quantity of water used and increase the quality of water available downstream for aquatic ecosystems and other industrial and municipal water users, especially in areas with dry climates. In Canada, mining had one of the highest water recycling rates among the industrial divisions, and between 1996 and 2005 reduced its total water intake around 30%. This drop in the water use happened around the same time that the value of production increased around 45%, meaning that the water intake per dollar of their production had also declined. Even though the focus of this revolution was not about music, the ideals ended up influencing church music. Many composers, including Martin Luther, endeavored to make music more accessible by translating it into the common, everyday language, shifting the singing in church services to the congregation rather than just having the choir sing, and making music simpler for everyone to grasp. Luther wrote music in the form of chorales and strophic union hymns that were taken from Gregorian chant (Taruskin, pg. 206 210). In response to the Protestant Reformation, the Counter Reformation emerged out of the Catholic Church. Music took on a more inspirational quality, and its primary goal was to affect the listener. Polychoral music was very popular, in addition to the concerted style (Taruskin, pg. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 42. Human Respiratory System Pulmonary ventilation is a basic human function that we do without thought. It is commonly believed of us our lungs expand and release air and is performed in a healthy human being 12 20 times a minute, essential this is the case but understanding the mechanical process of the physiology can assist in the understanding of the amazing process of respiration. (Marieb and Hoehn, 2014). The structures of our respiratory system include the nasal cavity and oral cavity, pharynx, larynx, trachea, bronchi, lungs, heart and ribs. The process of respiration occurs in two stages, Inspiration and expiration and the main structures involved in this process are the lungs, ribs, intercostal muscle and the diaphragm (a fibrous muscle that separates your thoracic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... At this stage, the volume in the lungs increases (intrapulmonary pressure) from the external intercostal muscle contracting to raise the ribs and the diaphragm depress. The diaphragm contracts by moving down increasing the area of the thoracic cavity and your intercostal muscles contract outwards resulting in the intrapulmonary volume to increase and the intrapulmonary pressure drops to 759mmHg resulting in a 1 mmHg drop. Allowing the oxygen to flow down the pressure gradient filling up the lungs. The intrapleural pressure decreases in inhalation (inspiration) when the external intercostal contract. After inspiration we have an expiration, this is where we have the diaphragm relaxing it the moves up and internal intercostal muscles and transverse thoracic muscles depress. Expiration (exhalation) results in intrapulmonary volume to decreases from 760mmHg and the intrapulmonary pressure will increase to 761 mmHg which results in a difference of +1 mmHg compared to the atmospheric pressure of 760 mmHg. Another process that is return to a normal pressure is also the intrapleural pressure once the intercostal return to a depress stage. This will then release gases back out of the lungs due to the pressure gradient where gases will move from an area of high to low. (Hasudungan, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 44. Holding True to Convictions in a World of Differences Essays INTRODUCTION We live in a world full of people who hold different beliefs and convictions. Many of them may even be different from our own. For example John Haught, in his book God and the New Atheism shares his belief that, Science alone can tell us what religion is really all about, and it can provide better answers than theology to every important question people ask (x). Berger and Zijderveld, on the other hand, argue in In Praise of Doubt that, Whether God does or does not exist in cosmic reality is another question. And this question cannot be answered by the empirical sciences: God cannot be the object of an experiment (1). Even among religious scholars, ideologies differ. In the following pages I will employ both Haught and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This circumvention is comparable to creationists rejecting evolution without ever having taken a course in biology (29). Haught believes that the new atheist s theological literacy is closely related to that of religious fundamentalists. The new atheists scarcely notice the irony in their intolerance of religious tolerance he says, On the one hand they bring up past inquisitions as evidence of the evils of religion, but on the other they now excoriate theological moderates who espouse the new spirit of tolerance. Moreover, they seem not to notice that the very same liberal tolerance in modern Western history that influenced the Catholic Church to change its stand on religious freedom provides the cultural space and freedom of expression by which the new atheists themselves are permitted to vent their own literalist ideas (Haught 37, 38). Here, Haught points out the intolerance of the new atheists and one can easily see that he does not approve. In the book In Praise of Doubt, Berger and Zijderveld argue that it is possible for individuals to hold moral certainty about societal values without succumbing to the extremes of either 1) the new atheists fundamentalism (complete lack of certainty) or 2) relativism (absolute certainty). One of their main points throughout the majority of this book is the idea that modernity leads to plurality. They explain, Modernization ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 47. Charles Baudelaire And John Wieners A Comparison Between the Responses of Charles Baudelaire and John Wieners to Modernization In order to compare the poetry of Charles Baudelaire and John Wieners within the context of modernity, one must recognize the discrepancy between their time periods. Baudelaire was born in Paris in 1821, and much of his work was published after the February Revolution of 1848. John Wieners, on the other hand, was born in 1934 67 years after Baudelaire s death near Boston, Massachusetts. Both poets explored sexual and drug related themes that opposed the conventions of their society. However, poets played a larger role in Baudelaire s modern society than in Wieners s. People in Baudelaire s modern society read for entertainment as well as instruction, so therefore, as a source of this entertainment, the poet and his contemporaries would naturally inhabit the mainstream, insofar as their occupation if not their fame. John Wieners, on the other hand, was pushed into the fringe of his society s consciousness. Part of this push likely had to do with new and less demanding forms of entertainment such as television and record players. However, the much more likely caused by the subject matter of his poems. It is true that like Baudelaire, John Wieners challenged societal norms, but unlike Baudelaire, his occupation as a poet drew little attention to the skill so clearly evident within his poems. Both poets describe the modern urban landscape they inhabit within their poems. For example, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
