Equal Employment Opportunity Commission
Equal Employment Opportunity Commission
2/21/2015
Providing a place of employment has lead to numerous benefits for employers and employees.
When having a diversity of people working for a company, different types of personalities
intermingle with each other on a day to day basis. Even though having a diverse group of people
coexist in the workforce can serve a huge benefit to the company, it can also lead to problems
amongst coworkers. In order to make sure everyone is treated fairly, the Equal Employment
Opportunity Commission (EEOC) was created to enforce federal regulations for equality in the
workforce (smallbusiness). The EEOC pursues complaints about hiring or firing based off of
certain factors such as, race, religion, age, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In addition to, the supervisor may have not been fully aware of what is and what is not
appropriate in the workforce. To avoid all of this confusion, during the on boarding process, all
new employees should sit in on either a lecture or video informing them what is and what is not
sexual harassment and how to handle the situation. A recommendation for the owner with regards
to preparing a response to the EEOC is to inform them that mediation will be taken place first. To
prevent any court fees and legal fees see if the situation can be resolved verbally as well educating
all employees on their rights. Even if the employee is an immigrant with a work visa, the law
protecting US citizens still applies to them.

The Role Of Sports Coach A Good Leader
An important role of a sports coach is to be a motivator. A motivator is someone who encourages
and creates an incentive for someone, such as a performer, to do well. A motivator may prompt
a performer by emphasising their progress in a positive way such as praising them on a good
performance therefore inspiring them to want to do well again. An example of a motivator would
be Kelly Holmes. Not only has she achieved gold in both the 1400m and the 800m in the 2004
Athens Olympics but she has set up the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust which engages with more than
3,000 vulnerable young people aged between 16 and 25 and provide them with a stepping stone into
community sport.

Responsibilities
Management and planning:
A coach has a lot of aspect to manage and plan, from equipment and the facility to transport and
competitions.
Many sport accidents occur as a result of activities taking place in unsafe or inappropriate facilities.
Learning to recognize potentially dangerous situations is therefore an important responsibility for
any coach. Prior to the start of the season the coach should ensure that the facility meets minimum
safety standards and also plan that the facility should be inspected regularly and maintained in safe
condition. A coach should also undertake an accurate equipment inventory at the start of the season
to establish the status of equipment and ensure that the correct amount of protective equipment is
available and that the equipment fits their participants.
A coach should be also able to find appropriate competitions for participants and arrange transport
to and from sports events. Without organising to go to competitions participants wouldn t be put to
their sporting limit and tested to see where they need to improve to succeed. Also without planning
to compete in competitions the performers may become bored as they don t have a

Enron Was The Largest Bankruptcy Of America Essay
Enron had the largest bankruptcy in America s history and it happened in less than a year
because of scandals and manipulation Enron displayed with California s energy supply. A few
years ago, Enron was the world s 7th largest corporation, valued at 70 billion dollars. At that time,
Enron s business model was full of energy and power. Ken Lay and Jeff Skilling had raised Enronto
stand on a culture of greed, lies, and fraud, coupled with an unregulated accounting system, which
caused Enron to go down. Lies were being told by top management to the government, its
employees and investors. There was a rise in Enron s share price because of pyramid scheme; their
strategy consisted of claiming so much money to easily get away with their tricky ways. They
deceived their investors so they could keep investing their money in the company.
Kenneth Lay, former Chairman and CEO, and Jeff Skilling who was also a CEO and COO of
Enron, had the major part in Enron when it collapsed and went bankrupt. Because of
deregulations Ken Lay enter Enron in 1985 through a merger a vast network of natural gas and
pipeline. Later, Enron grew into an energy trading company which was worth $68 billion in 2000.
Lays family was poor, which made him ambitious to earn wealth regardless of the path he takes,
hence, unethical professionalism at Enron. Enron took advantage of his decision to let gas prices
float on the market. Rich Kinde found out about Enron s oil scandal in 1987 by the

The Death Of My Mother
When I was a child, I dreamt about being a doctor helping others. I knew at the early age of 7
that I wanted to make a difference in others lives. After the death of my mother in 1999, I slowly
changed my mind about what I wanted to do with my life. I told myself that I would do
whatever it took to help bring justice for families that go through what I went through with the
death of my mother. As I was going through college I realized that criminal justice wasn t for me
after working in the field. I sat there one day wondering what I would do next and I realized I
have a passion for helping others; and I love babies, so why not use that to my advantage. That is
how I ended up here at Southern Careers Institute pursuing a career in the... Show more content on

Their Eyes Were Watching God
Symbols represent something of a higher meaning. In Their Eyes Were Watching God, by Zora
Neale Hurston, the pear tree to Janie represents all of her dreams, hopes, and plans for the future.
The pear tree is the exemplary love for Janie in her lifetime. Janie grows throughout the book and
her life is shaped around finding true love and finding herself through love.
The pear tree is a reoccurring symbol in the book. The first instance of the pear tree in the book is
when Janie watches a bee pollinate from a blossom. The pear tree represents what Janie thinks
marriage and love should be like and she compares the bee pollinating on the ... Show more content

By deaths, Janie means failed dreams or not reaching true love. Janie feels incomplete when she
can t find significant love in her life. Janie runs away from Logan Killicks. Next, Janie marries
Joe Starks. Joe seems very handsome and genuine at first but Janie s opinion of him quickly
changes. She feels like she is just playing the part as a wife. She does the clichГ© duties of a
wife. She works in his store, cleans, and cooks for him. She wasn t petal open with him anymore
(Hurston 67). Janie and Joe became no longer intimate with each other. There is no connection
between them. Joe eventually dies and Janie has to starch her face to mask her true feelings for
Joe. She is actually relieved and feels free. The deaths of Janie s dreams change her outlook on
men and life. After her two mediocre marriages, Janie feels lost and feels like there is no one out
there to meet her expectations. Janie s entire image of love changes when she meets Tea Cake.
He is everything she ever wanted. He is the pear tree marriage, that Janie has been looking for in
life. According to Mrs. Worrall, Tea Cake makes Janie feel virginal. He makes her forget about
her two previous marriages. Janie awoke next morning by feeling Tea Cake almost kissing her
breath away (Hurston 108).Tea Cake and Janie practice intercourse and Janie feels extreme joy
and bliss. She finally feels complete. After he dies, she feels like she doesn t have to

Pros And Disadvantages Of Wiretapping
Wiretapping is an essential tool in finding wanted men, but at the same time the Government
likes to abuse this power. Before we get any further I feel I should explain what Wiretapping
actually is. Wiretapping is the practice of connecting a listening device to a telephone line to
secretly monitor a conversation. . Now that s the definition that google gave me so I ll try and
explain it in my own words. Basically after the 9/11 terrorist attacks a new law was passed
Called the Patriot Act , Which stated; Section 215 of the USAPATRIOT Act allows the
government to secretly request and obtain library records for large numbers of individuals without
any reason to believe they are involved in illegal activity. In other words it allowed the
Government to easily spy on the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is a clear abuse of power. It should take a court hearing to even get approved to spy on, yes
you can argue saying they already do that but that s for lower law enforcement. If you think the
U.S Government actively waits to get approval to listen in on us then you re just ignorant
beyond comprehension. They re probably listening in on me right know watching me through
my laptop camera. Like any good debate I will talk about both sides i.e for/against. In all honesty
I see this having a higher against margin than for. Like seriously who likes to get spied on?
Weirdos that s who. Let s get started shall we. wiretapping should it be illegal? Why or why not?
The federal power to wiretap, a central issue during the Bush years, has made a comeback. The
White House seems ready to endorse an expansion of wiretapping laws to give the federal
government greater power to demand access to Web communications like Facebook chats.
Meanwhile, the Associated Press just revealed that the Justice Department seized, without a

RED MEAT IS A PROBLEM SPEECH
I am brought to you here today to discuss and break down the problems that Red Meat
is giving us without us acknowledging it . Many of us love to eat , some healthy and some un
healthy , that is not our faults many of the big fast food companies offer us food for a cheap
price and plus its fast as hell , its not as time consuming as cooking a meal yourself , so that in
its self is very convenient . Companies like Mc Donalds , Burger King , Jack in the Box etc.serve

support there supply and demand ratio . How they do this is sad , they feed there animals that
are soon to be served up in these local fast food places , nothing but grain based meals so they
could get fat and produce more meat , if there animals are baby s or small they inject it with lots
of horomones and steriods so it could grow like a adult un naturally . That is animal cruelty and
Very un healthy for us to be consuming this basically fake meat so this needs to be put to a stop .
Back in the Industrial Revolution Age we were faced with the same problem but back then it
was even worse , due to all the diseases and the lack of knowledge and technology , this all
changed when the big meat companies got exposed for what they were doing wrong . Author
and journalists Upton Sinclair was the clever man that exposed the meat companies , he wrote
a book called The Jungle , in that book he talked about the harsh , unsanitary
conditions our meat is going through , it got many people sick and some even died , the

Moveable Feast Hemingway
Ernest Hemingway is one of the greatest American 20th century novelists. Born in a Chicago
suburb, he emerged as a writer quite early, starting his career immediately after high school. He
served in World War I as an ambulance driver. After the war, wounded, Hemingway returned to
the U.S. for a short time before settling in Paris with his first wife, Hadley Richardson. In his
memoir A Moveable Feast, he describes his years in Paris as a young writer, his relationship with
his wife and their infant son, as well as his circle of friends and acquaintances. However, it all
seems but a background setting for his work. Throughout A Moveable Feast, Ernest Hemingway
proves to be a dedicated writer.
As a young writer, Hemingway worked hard on improving ... Show more content on

Everything else he did was but means so he could be more productive. His wife, his friends and
acquaintances, his hobbies were just a distraction, something he had to do. In the chapter Une
GГ©nГ©ration Perdue , Hemingway emphasizes that his particular writing process required times
of rest, lest his well of... writing dries up. The only time that he was not working was when he
could not work, for he had to stop when there was still something there in the deep part of the well.
Eating, drinking, reading, and even having sex with his wife were only something necessary to him
after he had written (12).
For any talented writer, writing opens up a new world, a new reality to live in. Hemingway was
not an exception: For him, writing was indeed an escape from objective reality. The way he
describes his writing process in the chapter A Good CafГ© on the Place St. Michel suggests
how deep he would wander far into the story and get lost in it. When he was writing, the whole
world around him would fade from existence; he did not look up nor know anything about the
time (5). Hemingway s ability to be so submerged in work emphasizes the role writing played in his

Patrick Bateman American Psycho
The film begins in the late 1980s with Patrick Bateman, a young wealthy businessman working for
a Wall Street bank, and who lives in Manhattan. From the start, some of the characteristics that
would describe Patrick are: alpha male, narcissistic, misogynist, self absorbed, insecure, so wrapped
up in his own life that is contingent on dining at fancy restaurants while keeping up his appearance.
Throughout the movie American Psycho by Mary Harron (2000), we discover more about Patrick as

suggest that he would be at risk of committing such crimes. Some of these traits include: lack of
empathy, aggressiveness (whether verbal or physical), impulsiveness, lack of remorse, attention to
detail, and high sensitivity to criticism. He states I have all the characteristics of a human being:
blood, flesh, skin, hair; but not a single, clear, identifiable emotion, except for greed and disgust
(American Psycho 2000). Along with those traits, the motives for his killings would be: power
and control; with him desiring power and feeling of dominance. Revenge against a specific
person (i.e. Paul Allen) and profit. He is a psychopathic sexual sadist, who could also be
characterized as an organized serial killer, someone who is always prepared and calculated. He
kills for pure pleasure and likes to inflict his pain on others. His hatred for people becomes more
and more intense as the film progresses, the smallest things set him off. He states, My pain is

Effect Of Pop Size On Popcorn Size
Did the height of the popcorn kernel affect its calorie count?
Which brand of popcorn contains more calories based on the height of the kernel when popped?
The purpose of this experiment was to determine calorie count relative to kernel height.
Furthermore, this information can be used to inform healthy snack choices.
Food is important to our bodies, we need it to survive. The energy in it, known as calories gives us
the energy to go about our daily lives. When we eat food we need there to be a fair amount of
calories in that food. But sometimes we don t want all the calories, so we search for a small snack.

Once in the lab pop all of the popcorn, then take the five tallest kernels from each brand. (make
sure to have the necessary safety gear at hand)
Measure them, weigh them and record all the data.
Once the top five in each brand are found, keep them seperate so as not to lose them.
Prepare a burning station with a pipette, test tube, a cork with a pin to secure the kernel on,
matches or a lighter. Make sure to have pencil and paper nearby to record data.
Place one kernel from a brand on the pin, place it on gently so it doesn t break.
Record the starting temperature of the water in the test tube.
Then start recording the temperature of the water, light the kernel on fire.
Watch the temperature closely so as to spot the highest temperature.
Find the highest temperature, record it, and weigh the burnt kernel, record that too.
Obtain fresh water and prepare the next kernel.
Repeat this process for all five kernels from each respective brand.
After all the data was collected, calculations were made for the average height, average mass, and
each individual kernels calories. The data shows that popped kernels with an average height that
is over 20 mm have a larger average of calories than the kernels with an average height below 20
mm. Orville with an average height of 15.8 mm was the control. The average number of calories
yielded by Orville was 264.2 cal/g. Compared to other brands this was a high standard.

Kathleen Blanco Speech Analysis
To keep things simple, people simply want to be heard, and they will do anything in order for their
audience to listen. There are various ways in which the speaker would gain the right to be heard.
Former Governor of Louisiana, Kathleen Blanco, uses various forms to obtain attention from her
audience as she addresses the LouisianaLegislator on Hurricane Katrinawhere she not only
discusses the effects of the hurricane but also acknowledges the people who have helped out so
far. Blanco does an exceptional job gaining attention through her audience through pathos, or
emotions. She gets to people s emotion side by expressing heartbreak, loss, devastation, and
above all; hope. Many people, if not all, have experienced at least one of these emotions at some
point in there lives, which helps them relate to Blanco s speech. Blanco introduces the subject of
loss, devastation and heartbreak by stating ...our thoughts are the families who were literally
ripped apart by the storm.... I have met brothers separated from sisters, mothers and fathers
searching for children, and children who have seen things no child should have to witness... my
heart goes out to every family (Blanco ..). Nobody should have to go through that in their lives,
no matter your age or gender. Too many people have experienced some form of loss, devastation
or heartbreak that has changed them. Above all, she introduces what all people want to hear;
hope, by stating ...we will transform despair into hope and show the world the true meaning of
determination (Blanco ..). After the massive devastation that happened to their town, hope is all
people are thinking about; they want to forget all the negative events and make sure everything
goes back to normal. All things aside, the people of Louisiana want to show the world that they
can come back after such a horrible disaster, and their Governor is all on board in helping
support that cause. In conclusion, Blanco is able to connect with her audience through people s
emotions and by being a part of the people of Louisiana s side; she is willing to stand with them
and help by doing as much as she can. Another way Blanco gets ahold of her audience s attention is
through ethos, or credibility. She

Why Did The Big Bang Theory Exist
There are many possible conclusions that scientists may come to when looking at the universe s
beginning. Although we can not go back in time to look at the past, there are many logical theories
which could determine what happened. Throughout the many possible scientific theories for the
origin of the universe, the big bangtheory is the most logical about how the universe began due to
how the universe is expanding, leftover energy, and the abundance of certain elements. The big
bang theory is the leading explanation about how the universe began. This phenomenon shows that
the universe started in a small singularity which grew to what we know today. A singularity is a
zone of finite matter shoved into an area of infinite density. Scientists... Show more content on

The second phase of the project includes constructing a pulp mill and will cost US$1 billion.
Today (2004) PГ©rez main problem is that he has to decide whether the company should go
through a horizontal expansion or a forward integration. In others words, if the company should
continue with the second phase of The Nueva Aldea project becoming the largest market pulp
producer in the world and having the possibility of foregoing other large projects in the next
decade or to take advantage of their low costs in pulp production by forward integrating into paper
manufacturing.
Evaluation of the two alternatives:
As regards the horizontal expansion, there are several points that must be taken into account as
they demonstrate that this option will be the correct one: * This expansion will grow the
company market share because they have a cost advantage. * For a company is better and easier
to grow in a sector that they are presently functioning. * The market seems to be moving in favor.
* As a result of a horizontal expansion the company can achieve economies of scale and reduce
significantly their costs. * Pulp is AraucoВґs main industrial activity, generating up 52% of
EBITDA * Pulp production is the core competency of Arauco. * Becoming the market leader will
allow them to control supply and demand of the market of pulp. * They have young forests. *

How Apparent Biological Categories Are Social Categories
Explain how apparent biological categories are social categories: To further understand this
component, for a sociologist to effectively understand social stratification and the high rate of
discrimination in the US will require proper understanding of race. This sociological inquiry would
render the whole aspects of the raceto be natural. Naturalness is something that can be best
outlined from the similar biological traits that individual have through a particular race. In such
instances where race become the determining factor, we would consider the significance of the
claim that it is not true to the fact that biological categories are social categories. If for instance, a
particular race let s say African is a social convention, we are required to agree to the fact that all of
us could adopt African conventions and become one. This is a claim that lacks external
considerations and proof. The explicit reasoning behind this claim renders everything to be
questionable. Different components ought to be looked at rather than just forming the deductible
conclusion that cannot be validated with correct facts and proofs. It is ambiguous to claim that race
is not a natural kind even after looking at the high rate of racial prejudice and discrimination that
takes place in the American society. The explanations given to support race is not adequate to
justify the practices that can explain the high rate of discrimination. People need to understand
different components that are

Biosphere Project
During our biosphere project, some things went well, like having soil from the ground, and
others made it worse. I hope our findings will be useful in the biosphere you re about to start.
One thing that I would definitely suggest doing is planting grass seeds as well as other plants.
This will help to produce more oxygen, give a more realistic environment to your animals, and
take more carbon dioxide out of the air. Just in case your plants die, the grass can keep your
biosphere alive for a little longer. If you can find any worms, you should put them in your
biosphere because they help decompose dead organisms, and they produce carbon dioxide for the
plants. I also recommend not having a pond, but using a spray bottle instead. Animals can drown in
the pond, and it might even dry up if there isn t enough precipitation.... Show more content on

Comparing The Architecture Of Sears And Montgomery Ward
Sears and Montgomery Ward catalog homes are a hallmark of innovation in American architecture
and history, with this in mind our team went about renovating the experimental Maytown, a classic
example of architectural focus on practical composition. Designed and fabricated during the pre
1900 era, The house parallels the time period s functional yet ornate approach to architectureand
design.
The exterior Queen Anne design of this piece of Americana is a prime example of the convergence
of architectural styles, coextending the converging cultures of pre 1900s America. This is why our
team decided to continue this architectural theme throughout the addition, and detached garage.
This was accomplished through the repetition of the key design

Managing Negative Emotions After An Employee Layoff
Dismissal Meeting: Managing Negative Emotions after an Employee Layoff For manager across
the world laying off employees is the best way to lower cost when the economy or business
declines. Laying off employee is a difficult decision and many times within companies or
organization they will try other methods of cutting cost before deciding to lay off employee(s). It
is very important for employers to be prepared when initiating a layoff. The factors that lead up to
the decision of laying off the particular employee(s) must be addressed and explained thoroughly.
Manager can be more efficient with tackling the purpose of the layoff if their explanation is
supported with all the concrete facts along with performance reviews and documented coaching
opportunities with the employee(s) in question. For example, if an organization has to layoff an
employee(s) due performance issues, then the performance issues in the past should be
documented. These documents will support and provide solid justifications as to why the
decision is the best action for the business. However, sometimes employee(s) that are being laid
off really could care less of what the best resolution to lower cost for the company is, because they
are now unemployed. To some employee(s) being laid off might come as a surprise and unexpected.
Once layoff is initiated the news can spread around the business like a wildfire and provide many
negative emotions throughout the organization.

Topic: For the period before 1750, analyze the ways in which Britain s policy of Salutary Neglect
influenced the development of American society as illustrated in the following: Legislative
assemblies, commerce, religion. Before 1750, the undocumented British policy of salutary neglect
greatly impacted the methods through which American colonists regulated their daily lives.
Through mercantilist thought processes, Britain created the colonies merely for gain of the mother
terrain itself. Therefore, it did not give them any specific attention and allowed them to simply rule
itself by personal means and this idea makes up salutary neglect. The colonies used their own

Primarily colonial leadership could make this decision, because the gist of the situation
comprised of keeping the slaves from taking advantage of the fact that England allowed freedom
under certain circumstances. Economically, the Crown did not provide as much assistance as
needed to the colonists of the New World. Trade involved mainly countries other than England,
because this way profits were maximized. England, once again, created its colonies for
mercantilist reasons: profits and only profits. In reaction to these trade schemes, the Navigation
Acts were enforced. Smuggling then grew extremely popular mainly because of price
differences and simple convenience. Agriculturally, the main crops were indigo, sugarcane,
tobacco, cotton, and rice. Due to high demand, several workers were needed. Through the
Triangular trade, raw materials went to England and the Northern Colonies, slaves came to the
plantation dominated areas of the colonies, and manufactured goods went to the West Indies.
Molasses was turned into rum in New England and traded for more slaves as well. Religious
freedom was one of the main causes for English peoples to move to the New World. They
escaped from the de catholicization of the Church of England in order to believe in what they
wanted to belive in. The government once again did not pay any heed to set an official religious
set of rules in the colonies, therefore allowing the people to

There are thousands of poems floating around written by bitter or depressed teenagers that are
never recognised as works of art. Another form of escape for teenagers is, unfortunately, suicide.
It is alarming how high the teen suicide rates have risen over the past decade. Yet, it is
comforting that there are support groups and counsellors available now to aid teens through their
troubles. Because no one wants to see a life full of promise and potential end abruptly because of
a little sorrow in one kid s life. Another reason for teen suicide is their home life. The teenager gets
caught in the middle of an argument between their parents, and they take the blame personally. This
is not right. Sometimes the child is beaten or abused and is forced to run away into the streets,
where they become homeless, and sometimes abducted. Sometimes they just die in a back alley
during a cold winterOs night, and they are never missed. At sixteen, a teenager knows about
suffering, because he himself has suffered, but he barely knows that other beings also suffer.
Although, some teenagers face their problems. They plod along through school. Some of them get
after school or weekend jobs. They learn responsibility. Eventually, they enter adulthood and the

What{s Catatonic Schizophrenia
Catatonic Schizophrenia is a specific type of schizophrenia, or brain malfunction, which is
distinguished by extreme, yet direct opposite behaviors. Its symptoms focus on movement and
motor skills. You might be more familiar with the catatonic stupor , where the individual is
incapable of movement, speech or response to external stimuli.
Oppositely, catatonic schizophrenia manifests as voluntary bizarre movements, repetitive
nonsensical words and/or sounds. Basically, an individual gets stuck either in a trance like state or
in a hyper excited state. Both types are serious, but treatable.
To receive a diagnosis of catatonic schizophrenia, an individual must first be diagnosed with
schizophrenia. Once all the symptoms are evaluated, it will become obvious whether or not they
qualify for the specific catatonic diagnosis.
What are Symptoms Specific to Catatonic Schizophrenia?
Malfunctioning Motor Skills Incapable of body movement. Mutism. Body clenched in a stiff
position. No awareness of environment.
Waxy Flexibility Person appears like a wax figure, remaining immobile, but body is flexible. For
example, if a limb is repositioned, the individual will hold it in that position and stare, barely
blinking until the limb falls back down from fatigue.
Excessive, Constant Mobility Frenzied pacing, spinning in circles, flailing of arms, constantly
moving but going nowhere.

Caucasians reserve more elite communities. For centuries, each race has been striving to belong in

The Civil Service Act Of Public Administration
The Pendleton Civil Service Act s purpose is to award federal government jobs to individuals based
off merit, rather than cronyism or nepotism. In the context of public administration, this law has
established benchmarks for the field of public administration, but it does not go without its
disadvantages. This act bred performance managementapplication in the public administration
community by establishing tests and performance measurements that certainly outweigh the
nature of providing government jobs due to party affiliation The act inherently eliminates a
disadvantageous federal job market, and seeks to benefit those who can perform to the
standards of the position. The benefits of this system outweigh its detriments, but I seek to
examine how this system works today, and if its initial purpose was carried on.Cronyism, the act
of giving jobs to friends and political affiliates, and nepotism, the act of giving jobs to family
members, are dangerous because they create a system based off status, and not merit. The
system this country had before the Pendleton Act was known as the spoils [or patronage]
system. This prior system awarded jobs to people based off cronyism and nepotism. While it
may seem harmless to award jobs in the political realm to people with close ties to a winning
candidate, the primary focus of those positions should stem from performance. An example of the
spoils system is if President elect Trump were to award a position of high influence on fair

A Different Perspective of Satan in Paradise Lost by John...
In the first book of Paradise Lost, created by Milton, it can most accurately be perceived as
Milton attempting to give the reader a different perspective on Satan, the greatest lost angel. In
the first book of Paradise Lost, Milton writes about how Satan was the closest angel to God.
Milton s attempt at making Satan a sympathetic character evolved after his original audience had
seen it, because in modern times it is much easier to sympathize with Satan than it was many
years ago. The perspective of Satan has changed a lot. In modern times, we view Milton s
retelling of Satan s story as a story of struggling against great odds, Satan s being spoon fed
powers, and Satan and the Fallen Angels optimism for Hell. In the first book of Paradise Lost,
created by Milton, he writes about Satan s struggle against great odds in order to make Satan a
more attractive character in his epic. For example, Th infernal Serpent; he it was, whose guile
stird up with Envy and Revenge, deceiv d (from Milton s Paradise Lost, line; 34 35), in this
example Milton wrote about how Satan was the closest angel to God, which meant that Satan s
attempt to overthrow God was not entirely shocking considering how envious Satan was of God
because God was considered more powerful than Satan. Satan, in his actual attempt to overthrow
God, gathered up many Legions of Angels in attempt to overthrow God. God drove him and his
crew out of Heaven and sent them to Hell. After they were thrown into Hell, you felt

success. Touring bikes were larger motorcycles equipped for longer rides and greater comfort.
Within this segment, the three largest players were BMW, Harley Davidson, and Honda. Sport bikes
had lighter frames, a more forward seated position, and emphasized speed, acceleration, and
minimal comfort. This niche, which Ducati identified as its relevant market (see Exhibit 3), could
be further disaggregated into four sub segments: hyper sport (extreme performance, closely
derived from the racing world), super sport (high performance, good handling and low weight),
naked (good performance and urban riding) and sport touring (speed and handling, married with
comfort for longer rides). Japanese companies dominated this niche, while European firms such as
Ducati, BMW, and Triumph also vied for market share. Harley Davidson entered the sport bike

and technical excellence). Easy riders lay at the other extreme, and associated the motorcycle with a

Lymphatic Cancer
The lymphatic system helps to protect us from infection and disease. It s part of the body s
immune system. Lymph fluid passes through lymph nodes which are connected by a network of
lymph vessels. The nodes are found throughout the whole body. My understanding of the lymphatic
system is that it is a one way drainage process that transports fluid from your body s tissues into the
bloodcirculation, it fights infections and gets rid of waste products produced by your cells.
Lymph fluid normally flows through the network of lymph vessels that connect to a group of
lymph nodes. The nodes, which are about the size of a baked bean and are located in specific
parts of your body act as a filter, destroying or trapping anything harmful that the body... Show

But where the tissue could be degenerated through extensive exposure to toxins it can cause the
cells to divide and reproduce so that it creates a mass of the cells, ultimately a tumour. This
tumour then takes over the tissue. Extensive exposure to toxins can lead to this build up of
cancerous cells and weakened defence from the tissue. Our lymphatic system here is paramount
as it helps to shift toxins from the body so that they are flushed out of the body. If the lymphatic
system though is damaged or struggling in any way it cannot perform this function. If an area of
the body is constricted over a long period of time or there is a tightening or pressure applied to it
regularly such as ill fitting clothes or tight bras then this can constrict the lymphatic flow cause
blockages and build up of toxins that would normally flow out of the body easily. This restriction
and blockage means that less oxygen and fewer nutrients are delivered to where they are needed.
Ultimately, long term starvation of the tissues and accumulation of toxins can lead to degeneration,
which is linked to cancer, and often linked to breast cancer for

Logistics In Supply Chain Systems
Logistics is an important part of the supply chain process as it is the phase where products that are
manufactured are packed, stored in warehouse, and transported to the end users when an order is
placed. Logistics deals with lot of data/information about different products, resource, transport, and
warehouse management. With the growth of technology, many devices like RFID, barcode, sensors,
GPS, Telematics etc. have found its use in Logistics resulting in huge amount of data/information
generated from these devices. Information ranging from products available in warehouse to real
time information like where the product is in delivery truck are available which makes Logistics
an ideal place for big data applications. DHL is one such... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These data can be used to analyze the utilization of the machine and inform the manager in case of
overutilization or underutilization (Macaulay, Buckalew, Chung, 2015). Figure 4.1.1. Product

Predictive analysis can be used to schedule maintenance (predictive maintenance) for the machine.
The data collected regarding the operation/performance of the machine can be compared with the
past data and big data analysis can be used to schedule time for machine maintenance. Using the
data collected, Big data analysis can also be done to predict the life of the machine. This will
reduce the unplanned machine downtime and increase the efficiency of the warehouse. An example
of such maintenance report from conveyor belt is shown in below figure 4.1.2. Figure 4.1.2.

customer delivery preferences to provide an optimal route for delivery and pickup doing which
increases the pickup and delivery efficiency. The below figure 4.2.1. represents a DHL Smart

Year Round Schooling Is Better Than Traditional Schooling
Year Round Schools
Versus
Traditional Schools
By: Shaun Herman
Shaun Herman

Task 2
Year round schooling is better than traditional schooling because, the summer retention is much
higher, special education and english language learners benefit much more, end of the year test
scores are higher and the year round school calendar fits our culture more now than it used to with
the traditional school year.
As an education major with a focus in special education, I was trying to figure out what to write
and research for this paper. Starting to look at the the topics list at the bottom was the topic Year
Round Schools. Looking at that and realizing, that sounded like a silly idea when I was a student,
why would I not want a longer summer break. However as I am an educator myself now and
realize that a one or two week break every other month sounds a like terrific idea. Then after
researching the topic I learned that not only is the schedule different but they re many more
benefits to year round schools than their traditional counterparts. Year round school research shows
that their children have better end of the year test scores. They also show that English language
learner children and Special Education children learn at a faster pace than the children at traditional
schools with the same programs. Also the summer break retention rate of what the children learn
throughout the year and then remember is much higher in year round

The American General Election Cycle
With the American general election cycle in full swing, one of the fundamental issues in play is
the role of government. What is the place of Government? What should elected officials be
doing? Do they simply protect personal liberties, or do they also establish safeguards and
guidelines for various economic activities? Ask any two people and you ll likely receive two
different answers, so nuanced and complex is the issue. Policy can give incentives to business to
act a certain way both domestically and abroad. Tax incentives in one region may cause a corporate
to relocate (this happened to one of my favorite guitar manufacturers recently, as they moved
production from Canada to California!). A central bank s tweak in monetary policy to shift the cost
of lending could ultimately move interest rates for consumers looking to take out mortgages or
automobile loans. As we witnessed in 2008, the housing market is of international concern and a
large central bank wields enormous power. While we like to call the Western economy a free
market, there exists a multitude of government policies that impact the freedoms and movements of
the economy, for better or for worse. I will present two specific examples of government economic
intervention for your consideration, one that has helps economic activity and another that hurts it.
In the early 20th century, a heated Presidential race was underway between Taft, Wilson, and
Roosevelt. An important issue in this particular election was

When having a diversity of people working for a company, different types of personalities intermingle with each other on a day to day basis. Even though having a diverse group of people coexist in the workforce can serve a huge benefit to the company, it can also lead to problems amongst coworkers. In order to make sure everyone is treated fairly, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) was created to enforce federal regulations for equality in the workforce (smallbusiness). The EEOC pursues complaints about hiring or firing based off of certain factors such as, race, religion, age, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... How Apparent Biological Categories Are Social Categories Explain how apparent biological categories are social categories: To further understand this component, for a sociologist to effectively understand social stratification and the high rate of discrimination in the US will require proper understanding of race. This sociological inquiry would render the whole aspects of the raceto be natural. Naturalness is something that can be best outlined from the similar biological traits that individual have through a particular race. In such instances where race become the determining factor, we would consider the significance of the claim that it is not true to the fact that biological categories are social categories. If for instance, a particular race let s say African is a social convention, we are required to agree to the fact that all of us could adopt African conventions and become one. This is a claim that lacks external considerations and proof. The explicit reasoning behind this claim renders everything to be questionable. Different components ought to be looked at rather than just forming the deductible conclusion that cannot be validated with correct facts and proofs. It is ambiguous to claim that race is not a natural kind even after looking at the high rate of racial prejudice and discrimination that takes place in the American society. I hope our findings will be useful in the biosphere you re about to start. One thing that I would definitely suggest doing is planting grass seeds as well as other plants. This will help to produce more oxygen, give a more realistic environment to your animals, and take more carbon dioxide out of the air. Just in case your plants die, the grass can keep your biosphere alive for a little longer. If you can find any worms, you should put them in your biosphere because they help decompose dead organisms, and they produce carbon dioxide for the plants. Comparing The Architecture Of Sears And Montgomery Ward Sears and Montgomery Ward catalog homes are a hallmark of innovation in American architecture and history, with this in mind our team went about renovating the experimental Maytown, a classic example of architectural focus on practical composition. The exterior Queen Anne design of this piece of Americana is a prime example of the convergence of architectural styles, coextending the converging cultures of pre 1900s America. Topic: For the period before 1750, analyze the ways in which Britain s policy of Salutary Neglect influenced the development of American society as illustrated in the following: Legislative assemblies, commerce, religion. Before 1750, the undocumented British policy of salutary neglect greatly impacted the methods through which American colonists regulated their daily lives. Through mercantilist thought processes, Britain created the colonies merely for gain of the mother terrain itself. Therefore, it did not give them any specific attention and allowed them to simply rule itself by personal means and this idea makes up salutary neglect. Primarily colonial leadership could make this decision, because the gist of the situation comprised of keeping the slaves from taking advantage of the fact that England allowed freedom under certain circumstances. Economically, the Crown did not provide as much assistance as needed to the colonists of the New World. Trade involved mainly countries other than England, because this way profits were maximized. England, once again, created its colonies for mercantilist reasons: profits and only profits. In reaction to these trade schemes, the Navigation Acts were enforced. Smuggling then grew extremely popular mainly because of price differences and simple convenience. Agriculturally, the main crops were indigo, sugarcane, tobacco, cotton, and rice. Due to high demand, several workers were needed. Through the Triangular trade, raw materials went to England and the Northern Colonies, slaves came to the plantation dominated areas of the colonies, and manufactured goods went to the West Indies. Molasses was turned into rum in New England and traded for more slaves as well. Religious freedom was one of the main causes for English peoples to move to the New World. Another form of escape for teenagers is, unfortunately, suicide. It is alarming how high the teen suicide rates have risen over the past decade. Yet, it is comforting that there are support groups and counsellors available now to aid teens through their troubles. Because no one wants to see a life full of promise and potential end abruptly because of a little sorrow in one kid s life. Another reason for teen suicide is their home life. The teenager gets caught in the middle of an argument between their parents, and they take the blame personally. This is not right. Sometimes the child is beaten or abused and is forced to run away into the streets, where they become homeless, and sometimes abducted. Sometimes they just die in a back alley during a cold winterOs night, and they are never missed. At sixteen, a teenager knows about suffering, because he himself has suffered, but he barely knows that other beings also suffer. Although, some teenagers face their problems. This act bred performance managementapplication in the public administration community by establishing tests and performance measurements that certainly outweigh the nature of providing government jobs due to party affiliation The act inherently eliminates a disadvantageous federal job market, and seeks to benefit those who can perform to the standards of the position. The benefits of this system outweigh its detriments, but I seek to examine how this system works today, and if its initial purpose was carried on.Cronyism, the act of giving jobs to friends and political affiliates, and nepotism, the act of giving jobs to family members, are dangerous because they create a system based off status, and not merit. In the first book of Paradise Lost, created by Milton, it can most accurately be perceived as Milton attempting to give the reader a different perspective on Satan, the greatest lost angel. In the first book of Paradise Lost, Milton writes about how Satan was the closest angel to God. Milton s attempt at making Satan a sympathetic character evolved after his original audience had seen it, because in modern times it is much easier to sympathize with Satan than it was many years ago. The perspective of Satan has changed a lot. In modern times, we view Milton s retelling of Satan s story as a story of struggling against great odds, Satan s being spoon fed powers, and Satan and the Fallen Angels optimism for Hell. In the first book of Paradise Lost, created by Milton, he writes about Satan s struggle against great odds in order to make Satan a more attractive character in his epic. For example, Th infernal Serpent; he it was, whose guile stird up with Envy and Revenge, deceiv d (from Milton s Paradise Lost, line; 34 35), in this example Milton wrote about how Satan was the closest angel to God, which meant that Satan s attempt to overthrow God was not entirely shocking considering how envious Satan was of God because God was considered more powerful than Satan. Our lymphatic system here is paramount as it helps to shift toxins from the body so that they are flushed out of the body. If the lymphatic system though is damaged or struggling in any way it cannot perform this function. Year Round Schooling Is Better Than Traditional Schooling Year Round Schools Versus Traditional Schools By: Shaun Herman Shaun Herman 4/11/2016 Task 2 Year round schooling is better than traditional schooling because, the summer retention is much higher, special education and english language learners benefit much more, end of the year test scores are higher and the year round school calendar fits our culture more now than it used to with the traditional school year. As an education major with a focus in special education, I was trying to figure out what to write and research for this paper. Starting to look at the the topics list at the bottom was the topic Year Round Schools. Looking at that and realizing, that sounded like a silly idea when I was a student, why would I not want a longer summer break. However as I am an educator myself now and realize that a one or two week break every other month sounds a like terrific idea.
