What Is The Reflection Of The Movie Shottas
For this assignment, I decided to reflect on the film Shottas . The film begins in the streets of
Kingston, Jamaica home of Biggs and Wayne, the two main characters. They lived within a very
dangerous and violent town, which drove them into their own violent lifestyle. As young men, how
the movie starts off, they rob the local drug dealers of a gun for a premeditated robbery. The money
allowed for them to purchase visas to come to Miami, Florida. While in the United States, as
adults, the two continue their criminal activities leading them to be deported back to their home in
Jamaica. Mad Max and Wayne, who was deported years before Biggs made his return, had already
formed a striving extortion business. Wayne made it mandatory for all... Show more content on

Analysis
When it comes to extortion, in my opinion, there are different levels when it comes to classifying it
as an organized crime. As young men, the boys decided to rob and shoot a delivery truck driver, in
order, to rob him of his earnings. They commited a robbery, however, it modded them into become
disciplined organized criminals and extortionist. I call this a minor because of the money they
robbed the driver of was nothing compared to the amounts of money they were extorting from the
upperworld and underworld people of power. Their behavior reflects the behaviors they have seen
first hand within their communities. The young children within the community are exposed first
hand to the violence of the local gangs and crimes. At this time, I believe, the issue was with the
Jamaican systems, as in educational and law enforcement. Along with the issue of the communities
lack of attention towards their new generations, is the issue of corruption. Aside from law
enforcement being able to keep up with the criminal activity, and being able to stop it, is the
political officials being corrupted. The film reflects on how the political world sometimes becomes
involved in the organized crime world. Reflecting on a reading we did this semester, when the
upperworld connects itself with organized criminals, it does not mean the official themself are
involved in crimes themselves. However, it allows for the organized crime to succeed and become
a thriving

Blood Culture Contamination Rates In The Emergency...
Blood Culture Contamination Rates in the Emergency Department:
Issues and Resolutions for Improvement Blood culture (BC) contamination is a common, yet
preventable problem for emergency departments (EDs) across the country (Self et al., 2014).
Erlanger Hospital s ED is no different and being the region s only Level 1 Trauma Center, it is
called to an excellent standard of practice. BC testing is a routinely applied intervention used to
diagnose infections in symptomatic patients who arrive at the ED (Denno Gannon, 2013). BCs are
essential as they help identify accurate pathogens and provide targeted antibiotic therapy (Denno
Gannon, 2013). They are often viewed as the standard for diagnosing illnesses such as septicemia

She also responded that to be in compliance with Joint Commission guidelines Erlanger is
required to adhere to a strict standard of practice ensuring the safest and most competent care of
patients. A second question was asked: Have causative issues been identified for the increased
rates of BC contamination in the ED? She responded stating that BC contamination is an ongoing
issue and while many ideas have been presented, a single factor cannot be narrowed down
specifically. A third question was posed: What is involved in an official change process at Erlanger
and is the staff allowed to have input on change processes needed in the ED? Her response was that
staff is encouraged input and there is formal chain of command that they must go through. First,
staff must present their issues to their Charge Nurse who is then responsible to relay the
information to the ED Manager or herself. Issues warranting a need for change are then brought
before an internal review committee. A fourth question was presented: Does upper management
support change processes backed by evidence based practice (EBP)? She responded that all upper
management are supportive of change processes when backed with proper research and statistics
which warrant a change in the department. Finally, a fifth question was asked: What are the current
protocols for BC collection

The Endoplasmic Reticulum
1. Introduction
The endoplasmic reticulum (ER) is the central intracellular organelle providing stringent quality
control systems to protein synthesis. Upon accumulation of misfolded/ unfolded proteins in the ER,
eukaryotic cells have developed an evolutionarily conserved adaptive mechanism, unfolded protein
response (UPR), to clear these proteins and restore ER homeostasis. The ability to respond to
perturbations in ER function is critical for cell survival but chronic or amplified ER stress can
lead to apoptosis to protect the organism by removing the stressed cells. Growing evidence
suggests that ER stress mediated apoptosis may contribute to pathophysiological processes
involved in a number of diseases such as neurodegenerative disease, diabetes, atherosclerosis and
renal disease [1]. This term paper intends to address (i) ER stress mediated signaling, (ii) molecular
mechanisms linking ER stress to apoptosis and (iii) a potential role of ER stress in autoimmunity in
the context of type I diabetes.
2. The Endoplasmic Reticulum
The endoplasmic reticulum (ER) is an essential organelle that is a major place for the biogenesis
of cellular components including proteins, lipids, and carbohydrates and internal calcium storage.
ER is primarily responsible for protein translocation, protein folding and protein post modification.
Proper folding of protein in the ER is accomplished with the aid of ER resident proteins or enzymes
such as chaperones. Binding of chaperones to

College Student s Perception Of Depressed Mood
Summary: College Student s Perception of Depressed Mood
By: Nicole Puglisi, Leslie Ryan, and Allan Koikoi
Component One: Background Information The article College Students Perceptions of Depressed
Mood: Exploring Accuracy and Associations by Irene M. Geisner and colleagues, relate college
experiences (i.e., drinking, drug use, etc) to moods and behaviors to determine if students under ,
over , or correctly estimate the prevalence of sadness, depression, and suicide ideation in
themselves and other students. A well as how their gender is associated to these findings.
Moreover, this article focuses on the field of psychology and the objective of this article is to
convey the multiple factors that coincide with the determination of depressive moods/behaviors,
and how a student is able to detect these moods/behaviors in others. For example, some students
predicted an overestimate of sadness, depression, and suicidal tendencies in their peers because of
the other negative factors associated with these cognitive tendencies, such as substance abuse,
relationship abuse, and drinking after driving. Gender also plays a role in this study, as researchers
predicted that males had a tendency to underestimate sadness, depression, and suicidal tendencies
because of previous studies. Overall, factors such as gender and lifestyle choices, can influence
students and their ability to predict sadness, depression, and suicidal tendencies, which is displayed
throughout the article and in

Safety And Standards Of The National Association For Stock...
Do people have to die for things to be changed? In NASCAR they are always looking at safety and
standards that are always changing. NASCAR stands for the National Association for Stock Car
Racing. NASCAR has been a big part of my life since I was a child. When I was young not only did
I watch the races on TV with my family, I would be at the track every week with my racing family,
watching at a NASCARsanctioned track. Racing had become a drastic part of my life at an early
age because my mother had passed away. My father wanted to bring the family together at least
once a week and do something together. Not only did my family watch racing in TV or on the
track we raced ourselves my brother, sister and I raced while my father worked on... Show more

What can NASCAR do to create a safer environment for the drivers in the car you may ask. The
responsibility of safety is not only in the hands of the driver or the track they all have to work
together to create a safer environment for racing. NASCAR sanctions tracks throughout the
United States. At the beginning of every year they send out their rule book to the tracks and
some rules such as seat belts. neck restraints. and rules on getting out of your car on the track are
required. On the other hand the other rules are just guidelines. The tracks can pick or choose
which rules that they want to follow or they can change the rules slightly. It is up to the track
officials to choose the safest rules to follow to have a safe and controlled racing experience
(DeRidder). Not only are varying rules an issue in keeping the drivers safe. At NASCAR s level
the cars are inspected on a weekly basis to make sure that everything is up to NASCAR s
standards and rules. At the smaller tracks that are sanctioned by NASCAR they don t have the
manpower to check every car every week to make sure that the driver or crew didn t change
anything or just not have the right equipment. Also, at the NASCAR level they have a new car
almost every week unlike at the smaller tracks where racing crews don t have the money to have
new cars every week. In the lower classes cars can be driven as long as it passes inspection at the

Evolution Of Animal Research Paper
Animal Phylum Evolution
In this research paper, I m going to be discussing the evolution of animals and how things have
changed to make them more complex throughout history. I m going to discuss what types of
phyla there are and how their body systems work. First, I m going to discuss is the phyla
Protists. Some protists are autotrophs, a photosynthetic group of phyla referred to as the algae.
Some protists are heterotrophs. Heterotrophs get their energy by consuming other organisms.
Protists reproduce asexually by binary fission, and a few species are capable of sexual
reproduction. Protists are so small they don t have any special organs to exchange gases or get rid
of waste. They rely on diffusion which is movement from a high concentration ... Show more

It s the first phyla most people are familiar with. The phylum is made up of mostly vertebrates. All
chordates have pharyngeal slits (filter feeding organs), dorsal nerve cord (hollow cord to the
notochord), notochord (a skeletal rod supporting the body) and a post anal tail (a body part that
runs past the anal opening.) They have a brain and a central nervous system. As for their digestive
system, they have a 1 way stomach. Now we have the seventh phyla, Osteichthyes and
Chondrichthyes. Osteichthyes have a bony exoskeleton. They have gills that are covered by
operculum. They have a swim bladder and fertilization is external for them. Examples of
osteichthyes are salmon, sea horse and trout. Chondrichthyes have some differences. Their
endoskeleton is made of cartilage. Their gills are exposed to the outside, they do not have a
swim bladder. Lastly their fertilization is internal. Examples of chondrichthyes are sharks and
rays. They both have a two chambered heart. They both have a 1 way stomach track. Next, we
have the phylum Aves as our eighth phyla. Aves are birds. All aves are endothermic and warm
blooded animals. They lay eggs that hard and waterproof. Instead of teeth they have a beak or a
bill. Aves are bipedal which means they only walk on two legs. Their forelimbs are developed into
wings and most members of the phyla are highly adapted for

Vitro Fertilization Vs. Sterile Parents
In Vitro Fertilization is technology that is used to fertilize a female s eggs by a male s sperm
outside of the body, usually in a test tube: in vitro ( in glass ). From here, the embryos are put back
into the woman s uterus in the hopes of a successful pregnancy with the outcome of a healthy baby.
This assisted reproductive technologyis a center of controversy between many. About 5% of couples
living in the United States and other parts of the world considered developed experience infertility
(Becker, Gay). While this type of fertilization has the ability to give opportunities at parenthood, the
cons outweigh the pros. Although infertile or sterile parents are given a chance at a family using
these treatments, In Vitro... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Being able to create a child by simply signing a waiver has been viewed as unethical. Another
concern involves the thought that In Vitro Fertilization would conclusively destroy our overall
perspective of what people see as the typical family Cahn, Naomi R). Many believed that the
traditional marriage followed by starting a family, would be replaced by laboratory breeding.
Conservatives feared the creation of these non traditional families, feminists were concerned that
the pressure on women to bear children would increase significantly. Still others, worried that these
lab babies would be socially rejected and considered outcasts. While this treatment has been known
to help those unable to fertilize their children naturally such as same sex couples, single mothers,
and the infertile, many across the country and around the world remain skeptical (Goldworth,
Amnon). With In Vitro Fertilization comes the high chance of giving birth to multiples or having
an ectopic pregnancy. After paying upwards of $15,000, many parents are not in the financial
position to pay for multiple children (Mann, Mali). Several who cannot have children turn to this
treatment in order to start their family. As first time parents, most are not prepared to suddenly go
from a party of 2 to the huge jump that In Vitro Fertilization can bring into

Strongest Electromagnet
Our period five class was given the challenge of which group could make the strongest
electromagnet out of the materials we were given. We propose that in order to build the strongest
electromagnet we should, use thick copper wire with a length of two meters, an iron nail, four
batteries and the temperature will be colder than room temperature. Based on the data we collected
in our trials, we believe the materials we use will create the strongest electromagnet. We first
propose using thick copper as the material we chose for wire type. We propose using thick copper
because, in the trials, the electromagnet with string wire could only hold 0 filings, the
electromagnet with aluminum material could hold 31 filings and the electromagnet with a copper
wire could hold 83 pieces of filing. The pattern shows... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We did not get to test the material for the ferromagnet, but according to an article written by
www.irm.umn.edu, However, the versatility of iron carbon alloys cannot be matched in any
other material. We also propose to use two meters of thick copper rather than one meter. The
more material you have the more coils you will have around the ferromagnet. When we tested
the number of coils around a ferromagnet, we found that no coils held 0 filings, fifty coils held
83 filings but 100 coils could hold 167 filings. Therefore the more wire you have, the more times
you can coil the ferromagnet, which can make the strongest electromagnet. Next, we propose to
use four batteries as our power source rather than using three, two, or one battery. When we tested
the number of batteries, we found that one battery held 14 paper clips, two batteries held 19 paper
clips, but 3 batteries could hold 24 paper clips. Although we did not test using four batteries, we
could predict by using proportions that 4 batteries could hold about 32 paperclips. The pattern
shows that more batteries make a stronger

Born in Swanmore, England, Stephen Leacock was one of 11 children of an unsuccessful farmer
and an ambitious mother, a woman to whom Leacock no doubt owed his energetic and status
conscious nature. In 1891, while teaching at the prestigious Upper Canada College in Toronto,
Leacock obtained a modern language degree from the University of Toronto. In 1903, after
receiving a Ph.D. in political economy from the University of Chicago, he joined the staff of

The son who wandered forth in the world was either killed by the cannibals or crawled home years
afterwards doubled up with rheumatism. So the old men made the proverb. But nowadays it is
exactly wrong. It is the rolling stone that gathers the moss. It is the ambitious boy from
Honkville, Indiana, who trudges off to the city leaving his elder brother in the barnyard and who
later makes a fortune and founds a university. While his elder brother still has only the old farm
with three cows and a couple of pigs, he has a whole department of agriculture with great sheds
full of Tamworth hogs and a professor to every six of them.
In short, in modern life it is the rolling stone that gathers the moss. And the geologists outside of
Tennessee say that the moss on the actual stone was first started in exactly the same way. It was the
rolling of the stone that smashed up the earth and made the moss grow.
Take another proverb:
All is not Gold that Glitters
How perfectly ridiculous! Everybody in the days in which we live knows even a child knows
that all is gold that glitters. Put on clothes enough, appearance enough and you will be accepted
anywhere. Just do a little glittering and everybody will think you are gold. Make a show, be a
humbug, and you will succeed so fast that presently, being very wealthy and prominent, you will
really think yourself a person of great merit and intellect. In other words, the glitter makes the gold.
That is all there is to it.

Holden from The Catcher in the Rye and Paul from Six degrees of

their lives and have difficulty fitting into their society. However these two texts do put the boys in

about growing up and living by society s rules, and
to disengage from meaningful human connection. The realease of this book created a wave of
disagreement and contreversy but many saw this book as a symbol of cultural oppression. The
movie six degrees of separation also explored the consequence of
alienation as a form of self protection, Paul is a gay black man living on the streets of New York
with very little money, it is implied that his life may not have been filled with wealth and
opportunity. He yearns for a life that will provide him with comfort and stability, he
enters peoples houses and surrounds himself with what they have and for a moment he is able to
pretend that what they have belongs to him. Paul creates a new identity for himself as a son of

Primary Elements Of Human Development Index
Human Development Index
According to Anderson (2014), Human Development Index (HDI) is the most efficient single
matrix for the welfare and progress of an economy. The approach measures the country s value and
well being in three dimensions namely, education/knowledge, life expectancy (healthy and long
life), and a decent living standard (determined by the GDP per capita). Apparently, the first two
elements of Human Development Index (education and health) focuses on precise societal goals,
but the gross domestic product variables remain a significance proxy for national well being. The
method has been in use by most of the agencies like the United Nations Development Programme
(UNDP) since 1990 for their human development report (Anderson, 2014). Again, HDI is used by
the European Nations to compare different nations and regions.
Better Life Index
The index enhances the comparison of the national welfare across nations, deriving its basis from
elven vital aspects which determines and shape the human s lives and well being. The primary
elements include education, housing, jobs, income, health, environment, civic engagement among
others. Nevertheless, each facet gets its evaluation based on four statistical determinants that are
assigned equal weights; for instance, education/knowledge score is based equally on attained levels
of education and standard reading skills. The ratings for each facet can be combined into a
monetised overall value, but the default thing is to

A bag limit is the number of fish a person could take of an individual species of fish. Some of the
major variables that scientist look for is the anatomy of the fish, human intervention and
pressure of the individual fish species, and climate. Every single species of fish is different.
Baitfish are meant to be consumed by predator fish therefore they are plentiful and usually in
abundance so there are no bag limits. Even the color of the fish is important. Red Snapper is in
abundance because they are Red. In the fish eye spectrum red is invisible so these fish are
plentiful so the government does not have to put strict regulations. Offspring is also very
important some fish lay thousands of eggs because in reality not many will survive, but bigger
fish will lay less numbered fish because the chance of survival is much higher for these fish
species. Math is all around these subjects because scientist collects data and numbers from
oceans to predict and examine a bag limit. There is also statistics in bag limits because scientist
have to go out collect data on the fish and as well as the people. For example the popularity of
the fish correlates directly to the number of offspring a fish produce. If a fish produces a lot of
off spring and there s no demand for the fish then no bag limits should be placed, vice versa. In the
fishing word everything is a numbers game because numbers don t

Analysis of the Film Inside Man Essay
Patrick Carruthers Neupert Film Studies
The True Inside Man Inside Man was released in 2006 and would later become the highest
grossing film for the director Spike Lee. The film is a crime drama, located primarily in a bank
in New York City run by multi billionaire Arthur Case. Although the film is a thriller and contains
bits of action and suspense, the movie focuses heavily on the difference between good and evil.
The movie begins with a shot in medias res of Clive Owen s character Dalton Russell explaining
the difference between being stuck in a tiny cell and being in prison while he moves around a
small room ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As the film unfolds, the audience learns that although there were financial morals fueling the
master plan, there was also the desire to bring justice upon a man that had betrayed and cheated
his way to the top, thus giving the audience a sense of righteousness in what Russell was doing.
Russell had become not only the man literally inside the bank, but inside the lies of Case with
the means to expose them. This alignment serves to form a sort of paradoxical allegiance in
which although the audience understands he is the leader of a criminal group, he is also
uncovering the secrets of an evil man and thus somewhat proving his innocence. This same
allegiance causes the audience to enjoy the conclusion, both out of respect for the intelligence of
the plan and because of his ability to escape with the documents and potentially to uncover the
awful past of Arthur Case. Although Ms. White s thoughts are never truly expressed in the film,
she plays a huge role in the formation of the plot. Recognition of Ms. White comes easily for the
fact that she is a woman, and she is of power. An important aspect of her appearance is her
clothing, being that in every shot she is shown wearing formal clothing and more importantly;
heels. The clothing and heels serve to portray her as an

Social Criticism In Anna Christie
In 1887, one year prior to Eugene O Neill s birth, the first vote on women s suffrage is taken in
the Senate and fails. (Scholastic). In 1955, the year following O Neill s death, a woman, Rosa
Parks, became the symbol for the civil rights movement. While these two events can seem
unrelated, they frame the time in which Eugene O Neill lived where the structure of gender
roles in society experienced radical changes. Women received voting rights, as well as more
legal and workplace rights that had never existed before. Men also encountered change, given
that World War I resulted in a large segment of the male population leaving country. There is no
doubt that literature has always been used as an avenue of social commentary; however, O Neill
used his work in innovative ways to express his distaste at certain societal ideals. Doris M.
Alexander writes, The main trend in Eugene O Neills social criticism is negative... Whatever hope
he sees for man lies in individuals who may have the courage to possess their own souls (363). A
prime of example of an individuals who do possess their own souls are present in Anna Christie.
Anna and Marthy, the main womancharacters, are both examples of O Neill s experiments into
writing more well rounded and independent women, much like the women of the 1920 s. Despite
Marthy only appearing in the first act, her personality reveals itself so quickly that the audience

Alphonse Capone was born on January 17, 1899. He grew up in rough neighborhood in Brooklyn,
NY where he would attend school only up to the sixth grade, when dropped out. Capone got his
nickname amp;#8220;Scarface ; from a knife attack by the brother of a woman whom Capone had
insulted. The attack left him with three scars across his face and a new nickname.
Capone joined his first gang when he became part of the James Street Gang, headed by the well
known Johnny Torrio. In 1920, upon the request of Torrio, Capone went to work for Johnny

Capone was able time and time again to avoid criminal charges, and became a true racketeer, an art
of its own. Ironically, the government finally was able to put Scarface behind bars on charges of
federal income tax evasion. He was sentenced to eleven years in prison. Eleven years that couldn
amp;#8217;t even be saved by the four million dollar bribe offered by Capone amp;#8217;s
attorneys.
In 1934 Capone was transferred to Alcatraz, and in 1939 he was paroled. Suffering from syphilis
that had begun to drive him insane, Capone knew he could no longer run his Chicago empire, so
he retired to his Miami Beach mansion. The exact place where on January 25, 1947 Alphonse
amp;#8220;Scarface ; Capone died.
IMPORTANCE IN THE TWENTIES
In 1920 when prohibition became law, a large portion of the population still wanted alcohol. But
not many were willing to put themselves at risk to sell it to others. Some did take advantage of
prohibition, but none more than Al Capone. With the rise of the telephone, the increase of
automobiles, the invention of the Thompson machine guns Capone was able to create an illegal
empire like no other.
When in came to bootlegging during the time of prohibition, Capone knew how to get to people,
and how to make a huge profit out of it. Another thing Capone was good at was avoiding the law.

Essay On Chick-Fil-A Case Study And Thinking Skills
Working at Chick fil a has its ups and downs, but usually there is manager who knows how to
work around problems and figure out how to make sure that the store still functions properly. This
one day though the upper management decided that it was okay to not schedule a manager that
night to help close the store. Since I was the most experienced team member there I assumed the
responsibility of the kitchen manager, and the tasks of making sure that the kitchen crew closed
properly and made it out on time. The day started out normal, we had our regular closing
managers and everything was going smoothly. About half way through my shift I was told that
the managers were not scheduled to close with the rest of us, and instead are only scheduled till
eight o clock. I asked who is going to be the manager and to my surprise, they responded with me.
They told me that since I was the most experienced that they guessed that I would be the one to
take the temporary position of Kitchen Team Lead. I was lucky with who I had been scheduled
with as most of my other co workers were experienced with the closing procedures. The managers
had gotten all the major things that needed to be done, like who still needed to go on break, the

Grade Hierarchy Analysis Call Graph
According to Figure 2.8, node 7, node 8 and node 9 do not have any other predecessors except
node 5 node 6 and by removing non instantiated methods they become head nodes. So, I should
remove these heads from graph and this new graph can be considered as RTA result for the given
CHA Call Graph (Figure 2.9).
Figure 2.9: The result of removing head nodes from graph
To clarify this approach, I will use the computed Class Hierarchy Analysis Call Graph from the
first example (Figure 2.6) and convert it to RTA. Since set of instantiated classes contains Class B
Class C, according to the algorithm, I have to remove node A.m( ).
Moreover, if I check Call Graph again, I will find that node Interface.( ) has a reflexive edge and it s
indegree=1 . Therefore, this node should be deleted as well.
Figure 2.10 illustrates a conversion from CHA to RTA:

2.3.3 Class Type Analysis (CTA)
CTA s main idea is narrowing down the set of reachable methods of a call site b.n( ) inside method
A.m( ) by keeping track of available target types within class A. Since CTA algorithm is refinement
of CHA and RTA, I can reuse CHA or RTA Call Graph result in CTA and decrease the set of
reachable methods of a call b.n( ) to make it more precise.
CTA algorithm implementation has three phases:

Streptococcus Pyogenes is More than Strep Throat Essay
Streptococcus Pyogenes: More than Strep Throat
S. pyogenes infections may vary from mild to life threatening with a plethora of symptoms due to
the many types of infections it causes. This bacterium is responsible for the diseases of pharyngitis,
rheumatic fever, impetigo, erysipelas, cellulitis, necrotizing fasciitis, acute poststreptococcal
glomerulonephritis, and toxic shock syndrome, just to name a few. Each of these infections has its
own unique set of symptoms as will be explored in depth below.
Streptococcus Pyogenes is a very diverse bacteria with effects ranging from nothing or a mild sore

Initial diagnosis of Streptococcal pharyngitis is determined by a point system awarding 1 point
for each of the following; temperature greater than 38 C, absence of cough, tender anterior
cervical lymph nodes, tonsillar swelling, age younger than 15, subtracting a point for age older
than 45. If these symptoms are met, a rapid strep test will be performed before antibiotics are
given, a precaution taken to prevent super bugs from developing.
If a streptococcal infection such as pharyngitis or scarlet fever is left untreated, there is a small
(~3%) chance that within approximately 20 days, the patient will present with rheumatic fever.
After the first bout of rheumatic fever, if the host acquires a second untreated S. Pyogenes
infection, the chance of coming down with rheumatic fever jumps substantially to ~50%. Most
often this secondary disease will strike people aged 6 15 years old, roughly 20 days after the
streptococcal infection, with a 2 5% mortality rate. One of the major diagnostic symptoms of this
disease is Erythema Marginatum, snake or ring like eruptions covering the trunk, upper arms, and
legs. Other symptoms include fever, arthritis (elbows, knees, wrists, and ankles), swollen joints,

centre of global economic power from the United States to China? In your answer discuss the
future fate of the US dollar as the preeminent international means of payments and reserve asset.
The great recession of 2008 2010 resulted from a combination of easy credit conditions during the
financial boom of 2002 2008 which saw a change that lead to encouragement of high risk
borrowing, lending practices, international trade imbalances and improper use of credit. The

It is important to note that this year has been projected from statistics used to study the relative
decline of America and fast growth of China. It by no means projects of the decline of the US in
the long run. The US even after this decline still holds a quarter of the world s GDP. It would be
hard to imagine a nation that relies on investment and international trade with the current economic
leader by over taking it. China may yet be at a stalemate until proven that it can hold and invest
their yield to correct their existing problems such as poverty, labour issues and push the Yuan
value. If not then China will join Japan back at second place as expansion without productivity are
only temporary. (Dewar 2012) This is not impossible task for China, it is most likely probable, but
will take longer than the near future.
In order to see where the US dollar is going we have to analyse the current market and study the
past. Since the fixed exchange rate system of Bretton Woods in 1971 there has been an explosive
growth of international central banks, most of investments of such are invested in US dollars. The
expansion of this particular reserve has opened trade imbalances in the past two decades from its
constant use. (Eichengreen 2009). Although this is the case up until the financial crisis, some East

Arthur Miller was an American playwright and was a prominent figure in America until his recent

In 1947, after his disastrous play The man who had all the luck , All My Sons was published, which

World War 2 and touches on The Great Depression, which was a decade of dramatic and

Keller argues that what he did during the war was merely good business practise. Keller also refers
to himself as an uneducated man , which implies that he has achieved the financial part of the
American Dream without the aid of books; however, it is his business that leads o his downfall.
Miller criticises a capitalist system that encourages individuals to value their business sense over
their moral sense . This means that Miller disagrees with people who crave profit and success at
the expense of happiness for yourself and others.
Keller earns respect from his neighbours, even though they all know the truth about his past, as at
one point he is defined as a man among men . This suggests that men in the neighbourhood aspire
to achieve what Keller has achieved a great business and successful family life.
Realities dawn through the dramatic device of dialogue from neighbours which reveal Keller s
past to us, for example when Sue says to Ann; There s not a person on the block who doesn t
know the truth . This shows that people are aware of what Keller did and the fact that he is guilty,
yet people still admire him as it does appear that he has achieved the American Dream.
However, when Chris denies responsibility of the business during a conversation with Keller; The
business! The business doesn t inspire me , this

all they wanted was for their boys and girls to grow up in a free country, a place where individuals

The career I chose was a wildlife biologist. Wildlife Biologists study the physical and behavioral
characteristics of wildlife, as well as human actions on animals and their ecosystem. The duties of a
wildlife biologist range anywhere from writing a report to collecting data by experimenting and
observing. For instance, a wildlife biologistmay have to collect data from observing animal
reproduction, interaction between species, and movement patterns. Other times, wildlife biologists
will spend time indoors writing papers that explain the data they collected, giving presentations, and
doing pre experiment research. Usually a wildlife biologist focuses on a specific type of species,
which can include marine mammals, insects, amphibians, reptiles,... Show more content on

The current demand for wildlife biologists isn t high, but in the future the demand will increase
due to human trends which include pollution, habitat destruction, and climate change. Although
more biologists will be needed in the future to study human impact on wildlife, the job
employment is only expected to increase by four percent (which is slower than usual) by 2024.
The term wildlife refers to birds, whales, gorillas, jaguars, rhinos, sharks, etc.. Like aforesaid, a
wildlife biologist typically specializes in one of these animal categories. However, choice may be
limited based on location. Coast states such as Florida, Texas, California, Alaska, Hawaii and
others tend to offer many jobs in marine biology. Other landlocked states may have jobs that

Equity has brought benefits to many litigants who would otherwise have been severely
disadvantaged by the common law. Discuss, with reference to decided cases. William the
Conqueror found England with no single system of law common to the whole country. The law
was mainly sets of customary rules which differed from area to area. For example, in one area
you could get away with stealing, in another it would be seen as crime. There was no such thing
as The English Legal System until William s invasion in 1066. William developed the legal
system and introduced many rules. William preserved some of the old customary laws and used
them as a basis for common laws. He introduced the feudal system and King s justice, these were

The second remedy is specific performance in which the court compels a party to fulfill a
previous agreement, as in the case of [Wrath v Tyler]. Rectification which is the amendment of
documents which previously did not express its true intention such as in the case of [Re Posner]

of remedy. The fourth remedy is rescission where a contract is nullified, thus allowing two
parties to return to their original positions prior to the agreement as seen in [Tumstem v

I feel that this movie would be a historical fiction since the film does have some historical facts and

the few battles, and the customs of the Indians. These things cannot fictionalized, and would require
some research.
The treatment of the native people west of the Mississippi river in the time period following the
civil war was poor. The white people wanted the Indians to be exterminated. An example of this
happened in Colorado, when some Indian chiefs had sought peace and negotiation. In this
negotiation, they had army protection, however, they were killed in their sleep. The Indians
were also treated poorly as they suffered from the white Americans racism, their belief that they
owned all the land, and paternalism. The forces at work on both of these sides were the people
that had strong beliefs and were not going to stand for anything but their beliefs. The Indians
were on the west side of the Mississippi river, and they did not want to leave their land. The white
people were on the other side of the Mississippi river and had their belief that they owned all the
land. With these two groups of people with different beliefs, this had lead to incompatible

By Rebecca Solnit, I have come to realize that my modern day life is not far from that of Alex s.
Throughout the process of reading this book I was shocked many times by the everyday acts of evil
against innocent people. It is sad to know that they are so common in our world today. Acts such as
robbery, rape and murder happen every day, and they don t always just take one thing from the
victims. As Alex often shows us, during the process of evil acts the victims are dehumanized
and beaten. The laws and regulations put in place today are supposed to protect people from
ever experiencing these horrid acts, yet even in Alex s story, little justice is done for those who
suffer. Society brings out the best and worst in people and often puts people in desperate
situations, allowing the darkness to come forth. People have become selfish, cold and heart less
without a care for the people around them. Our society and government today have created
monsters and have done so without giving any type of cure or proper treatment to bring them
back into the light. The darkness and evil that had consumed Alex is the same as the darkness

Mike is mad and doesn t understand Brett s choices of man. Mike is suggesting that Pedro will

P5 How to install RAM 1.It is important that you check the type of RAM that you require, RAM
comes in a variety of types and speeds and only a specific selection will be compatible with your
PC. 2.You will need to check how many sockets for RAM that your PC has, this will be on the
motherboard and will mean how many sticks of RAM can be installed on your computer, the
majority of motherboards however will have a limit to how much memory can be utilised,
regardless of the amount of RAM slots. 3.Browse the options available to you for companies to
purchase RAM form, this will determine the: pricing, quality and time in which you receive
your new RAM. A few of the most reliable companies that sell RAM are: Kingston, OCZ, G.
Skill and Crucial. 4.Now that you have the correct RAM specifically for your computer you will
need to turn off your computer and unplug any extensions to it such as keyboard, mouse and
monitors. 5.You will now want to turn the computer monitor on its side and remove the top of
the casing so that you can clearly see the motherboard. You may be able to do this by hand, but it
might require a screwdriver. 6.Discharge any static to prevent the damage of any of the computer
components, you can do this by touching and plug with an earth wire or touching a water tap.

Tomorrow When The War Began By John Marsden
In Tomorrow When the War Began, John Marsden uses many narrative features to make Ellie s
World real for readers. Setting and themes are both vital to the plot, as well as the overall
atmosphere of the story.
The main themes in Tomorrow When the War Began are ambiguity, friendships, and personal
growth. These themes both make the story relatable to readers, and forces them out of their comfort
zone. The setting of the novel, at least for Australian readers, is incredibly familiar and real.
The places and culture John Marsden describes is uniquely Australian. Australian readers would
usually have trouble seeing a war situation as real and relating it to their own lives, but with
Australia as the backdrop, this book makes it much easier to envision. The setting is very
important to the plot of Tomorrow When The War Began, as the bush that surrounds Wirrawee
provides a hideout for Ellie and her friends when they are invaded. John Marsden describes the
setting of the book with immense, realistic detail, so much so that the scenery becomes it s own
character that plays vital roles in many key scenes of the book, such as the blowing up of the
bridge, or the camping trips into Hell. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The characteristics of the foreign soldiers fit the criteria for no country on earth, which gives the
impression that the story could be happening to anyone. This is a clever tactic as it avoids pointing
the finger at any one country by writing them as military invaders, while exploring concepts like
privilege and race within Australia. This is highlighted in a scene where the protagonists are
discussing the recent invasion, and Robyn mentions how she can see how someone in a developing
country would be angry at the wealth that Australians refuse to share with near by

Technical Writing And Creative Writing
Many people are unaware that there are many different types of writing. Writing is used in a wide
variety of different subjects. Some people think that left part of the brain is used for technical
writing and the right side is used for creative writing (Patel). Technical writing is used in the fields
of science, engineering, technology and the health sciences (Nordquist). Creative writingis used in
novels, poems, epics, short stories, screenplays, songs, television scripts, etc. (YourDictionary).
Although they have some minor similarities, the differences between Technical writingand Creative
writingare clear.
Technical Writing Background Technical writing is used in the professional world and is always
non fiction. It helps to provide clear communication so that the contents are completely understood.
Technical writing helps to put your ideas out on the table so that they may be considered. The only
way that you can get patents is by providing exactly what your invention does, so you must be able
to communicate clearly so you can receive a patent. The Society for Technical Communication
(STC) offers this definition of technical writing: the process of gathering information from experts
and presenting it to an audience in a clear, easily understandable form. (Nordquist). The biggest
difference between technical communication and the other kinds of writing you have done is that
technical communication has a somewhat different focus on audience and purpose.

Comparing Gus And Hazel s Fault In The Stars
As Hazel first introduces herself she gives off a quite sophisticated but also depressed vibe. My
first impression of Hazel was that she was a little too smart for a girl who hadn t been to school
in three years. I soon learned that she took classes at the local community college. A couple weeks
into support group Hazel meets her match and is instantly drawn to the intriguing character of
Gus. I could immediately tell that gus and Hazel had a mutual attraction but a roadblock stood in
the way, cancer. The relationship that soon developed between Hazel and gus is what intrigued
myself, how they both were incredibly scared to hurt the other emotionally. They bonded over their
overuse of symbols and metaphors. For example, how gus used the cigarettes as a metaphor... It s a
metaphor, see: You put the killing right between your teeth, but you dont give it the power to do its
killing. (Green, 20). I could immediately tell that Hazel has become immensely attracted to
Augustus and they would soon become star... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Signify the incredible but unfortunately doomed love the two shared. I believe one reason the two
will fall in love is because they both have/had cancer and they are intelligent enough to know that
only a cancer patient can understand one. They will begin to bond over the simple things like
books and have a deeper understanding of one another than anyone else could. As their
relationship begins to evolve into one that could soon see physical activity, Hazel begins to
backtrack and try to remain as friends. I think that Hazel believes that after only knowing her for
a couple months gus is giving up and sacrificing way too much for her. As I begin to read the next
chapters I will expect a immense increase or decrease in the relationship between Hazel and

Essay The Biology of Prayer and Healing
The Biology of Prayer and Healing
When we set ourselves to the work of collecting or re collecting the scattered pieces of ourselves,
we begin a task which, if carried to its natural conclusions, ultimately becomes prayer.
Skepticism
Science and Faith: Freud, one of the most well respected researchers of the human experience,
claims that religion is a universal neurosis that civilization substitutes for a more authentic personal
reality based on scientific knowledge (Jones and Butman, 1991, 77). Thus, to presume that illness
and healing have anything to do with spirituality is absurd.
Testability: Prayer and faith have no universal method of testing. Nor can it be proven that prayer
is effective, for who can ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For all intents and purposes, prayer in this discussion simply means a non local language that says
something about who we are and where our destiny may be (Dossey, 1993, 6).
Prayer Treatment: the practice of people praying for someone else. This does not imply medical or
surgical treatments may not also be prescribed.
Research
The first accepted study correlating prayer to physical health was Collipp (1969), who followed
eighteen terminally ill children. Ten were selected to be prayed for by Protestant Christians, while
the other eight had no known prayer for their healing. The people praying only knew the names,
genders, and basic conditions of those for whom they were praying. Neither the children, nor their
families, nor the doctors were informed of the prayer treatment. After fifteen months, seven of the
ten children receiving prayer treatment were alive, while only two of the eight not receiving
treatment survived.
Byrd (1988) retested Collipp s findings with a larger sample. 393 patients in the coronary care unit
were assigned to two groups, one to receive daily prayer treatment from born again Christian
intercessors along with normal treatment and one to receive the normal treatment alone. After ten
months, twenty one of twenty six medical measures of health were better in the patients who
received prayer treatments (Byrd 1988) including only three

  • 2. What Is The Reflection Of The Movie Shottas For this assignment, I decided to reflect on the film Shottas . The film begins in the streets of Kingston, Jamaica home of Biggs and Wayne, the two main characters. They lived within a very dangerous and violent town, which drove them into their own violent lifestyle. As young men, how the movie starts off, they rob the local drug dealers of a gun for a premeditated robbery. The money allowed for them to purchase visas to come to Miami, Florida. While in the United States, as adults, the two continue their criminal activities leading them to be deported back to their home in Jamaica. Mad Max and Wayne, who was deported years before Biggs made his return, had already formed a striving extortion business. Wayne made it mandatory for all... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Analysis When it comes to extortion, in my opinion, there are different levels when it comes to classifying it as an organized crime. As young men, the boys decided to rob and shoot a delivery truck driver, in order, to rob him of his earnings. They commited a robbery, however, it modded them into become disciplined organized criminals and extortionist. I call this a minor because of the money they robbed the driver of was nothing compared to the amounts of money they were extorting from the upperworld and underworld people of power. Their behavior reflects the behaviors they have seen first hand within their communities. The young children within the community are exposed first hand to the violence of the local gangs and crimes. At this time, I believe, the issue was with the Jamaican systems, as in educational and law enforcement. Along with the issue of the communities lack of attention towards their new generations, is the issue of corruption. Aside from law enforcement being able to keep up with the criminal activity, and being able to stop it, is the political officials being corrupted. The film reflects on how the political world sometimes becomes involved in the organized crime world. Reflecting on a reading we did this semester, when the upperworld connects itself with organized criminals, it does not mean the official themself are involved in crimes themselves. However, it allows for the organized crime to succeed and become a thriving ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

She responded stating that BC contamination is an ongoing issue and while many ideas have been presented, a single factor cannot be narrowed down specifically. A third question was posed: What is involved in an official change process at Erlanger and is the staff allowed to have input on change processes needed in the ED? Her response was that staff is encouraged input and there is formal chain of command that they must go through. First, staff must present their issues to their Charge Nurse who is then responsible to relay the information to the ED Manager or herself. Issues warranting a need for change are then brought before an internal review committee. A fourth question was presented: Does upper management support change processes backed by evidence based practice (EBP)? • 5. The Endoplasmic Reticulum 1. Introduction The endoplasmic reticulum (ER) is the central intracellular organelle providing stringent quality control systems to protein synthesis. Upon accumulation of misfolded/ unfolded proteins in the ER, eukaryotic cells have developed an evolutionarily conserved adaptive mechanism, unfolded protein response (UPR), to clear these proteins and restore ER homeostasis. The ability to respond to perturbations in ER function is critical for cell survival but chronic or amplified ER stress can lead to apoptosis to protect the organism by removing the stressed cells. Growing evidence suggests that ER stress mediated apoptosis may contribute to pathophysiological processes involved in a number of diseases such as neurodegenerative disease, diabetes, atherosclerosis and renal disease [1]. This term paper intends to address (i) ER stress mediated signaling, (ii) molecular mechanisms linking ER stress to apoptosis and (iii) a potential role of ER stress in autoimmunity in the context of type I diabetes. 2. The Endoplasmic Reticulum The endoplasmic reticulum (ER) is an essential organelle that is a major place for the biogenesis of cellular components including proteins, lipids, and carbohydrates and internal calcium storage. The responsibility of safety is not only in the hands of the driver or the track they all have to work together to create a safer environment for racing. NASCAR sanctions tracks throughout the United States. At the beginning of every year they send out their rule book to the tracks and some rules such as seat belts. neck restraints. and rules on getting out of your car on the track are required. On the other hand the other rules are just guidelines. The tracks can pick or choose which rules that they want to follow or they can change the rules slightly. It is up to the track officials to choose the safest rules to follow to have a safe and controlled racing experience (DeRidder). Not only are varying rules an issue in keeping the drivers safe. At NASCAR s level the cars are inspected on a weekly basis to make sure that everything is up to NASCAR s standards and rules. At the smaller tracks that are sanctioned by NASCAR they don t have the manpower to check every car every week to make sure that the driver or crew didn t change anything or just not have the right equipment. • 9. Evolution Of Animal Research Paper Animal Phylum Evolution In this research paper, I m going to be discussing the evolution of animals and how things have changed to make them more complex throughout history. I m going to discuss what types of phyla there are and how their body systems work. First, I m going to discuss is the phyla Protists. Some protists are autotrophs, a photosynthetic group of phyla referred to as the algae. Some protists are heterotrophs. Heterotrophs get their energy by consuming other organisms. Protists reproduce asexually by binary fission, and a few species are capable of sexual reproduction. Protists are so small they don t have any special organs to exchange gases or get rid of waste. They rely on diffusion which is movement from a high concentration ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It s the first phyla most people are familiar with. The phylum is made up of mostly vertebrates. All chordates have pharyngeal slits (filter feeding organs), dorsal nerve cord (hollow cord to the notochord), notochord (a skeletal rod supporting the body) and a post anal tail (a body part that runs past the anal opening.) They have a brain and a central nervous system. As for their digestive system, they have a 1 way stomach. Now we have the seventh phyla, Osteichthyes and Chondrichthyes. Osteichthyes have a bony exoskeleton. They have gills that are covered by operculum. They have a swim bladder and fertilization is external for them. Examples of osteichthyes are salmon, sea horse and trout. Chondrichthyes have some differences. Their endoskeleton is made of cartilage. Their gills are exposed to the outside, they do not have a swim bladder. Lastly their fertilization is internal. Examples of chondrichthyes are sharks and rays. They both have a two chambered heart. They both have a 1 way stomach track. Next, we have the phylum Aves as our eighth phyla. Aves are birds. All aves are endothermic and warm blooded animals. They lay eggs that hard and waterproof. Instead of teeth they have a beak or a bill. Aves are bipedal which means they only walk on two legs. Their forelimbs are developed into wings and most members of the phyla are highly adapted for ... About 5% of couples living in the United States and other parts of the world considered developed experience infertility (Becker, Gay). Being able to create a child by simply signing a waiver has been viewed as unethical. Another concern involves the thought that In Vitro Fertilization would conclusively destroy our overall perspective of what people see as the typical family Cahn, Naomi R). Many believed that the traditional marriage followed by starting a family, would be replaced by laboratory breeding. Conservatives feared the creation of these non traditional families, feminists were concerned that the pressure on women to bear children would increase significantly. Still others, worried that these lab babies would be socially rejected and considered outcasts. While this treatment has been known to help those unable to fertilize their children naturally such as same sex couples, single mothers, and the infertile, many across the country and around the world remain skeptical (Goldworth, Amnon). With In Vitro Fertilization comes the high chance of giving birth to multiples or having an ectopic pregnancy. After paying upwards of $15,000, many parents are not in the financial position to pay for multiple children (Mann, Mali). We propose that in order to build the strongest electromagnet we should, use thick copper wire with a length of two meters, an iron nail, four batteries and the temperature will be colder than room temperature. Based on the data we collected in our trials, we believe the materials we use will create the strongest electromagnet. We first propose using thick copper as the material we chose for wire type. When we tested the number of coils around a ferromagnet, we found that no coils held 0 filings, fifty coils held 83 filings but 100 coils could hold 167 filings. Therefore the more wire you have, the more times you can coil the ferromagnet, which can make the strongest electromagnet. Primary Elements Of Human Development Index Human Development Index According to Anderson (2014), Human Development Index (HDI) is the most efficient single matrix for the welfare and progress of an economy. The approach measures the country s value and well being in three dimensions namely, education/knowledge, life expectancy (healthy and long life), and a decent living standard (determined by the GDP per capita). Apparently, the first two elements of Human Development Index (education and health) focuses on precise societal goals, but the gross domestic product variables remain a significance proxy for national well being. The method has been in use by most of the agencies like the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) since 1990 for their human development report (Anderson, 2014). Some of the major variables that scientist look for is the anatomy of the fish, human intervention and pressure of the individual fish species, and climate. Every single species of fish is different. Baitfish are meant to be consumed by predator fish therefore they are plentiful and usually in abundance so there are no bag limits. Even the color of the fish is important. Red Snapper is in abundance because they are Red. In the fish eye spectrum red is invisible so these fish are plentiful so the government does not have to put strict regulations. This alignment serves to form a sort of paradoxical allegiance in which although the audience understands he is the leader of a criminal group, he is also uncovering the secrets of an evil man and thus somewhat proving his innocence. This same allegiance causes the audience to enjoy the conclusion, both out of respect for the intelligence of the plan and because of his ability to escape with the documents and potentially to uncover the awful past of Arthur Case. In 1955, the year following O Neill s death, a woman, Rosa Parks, became the symbol for the civil rights movement. While these two events can seem unrelated, they frame the time in which Eugene O Neill lived where the structure of gender roles in society experienced radical changes. Women received voting rights, as well as more legal and workplace rights that had never existed before. Men also encountered change, given that World War I resulted in a large segment of the male population leaving country. Discuss the causes of the Great Recession of 2008 10. Does the crisis represent a shift in the centre of global economic power from the United States to China? In your answer discuss the future fate of the US dollar as the preeminent international means of payments and reserve asset. The great recession of 2008 2010 resulted from a combination of easy credit conditions during the financial boom of 2002 2008 which saw a change that lead to encouragement of high risk borrowing, lending practices, international trade imbalances and improper use of credit. It is important to note that this year has been projected from statistics used to study the relative decline of America and fast growth of China. It by no means projects of the decline of the US in the long run. The US even after this decline still holds a quarter of the world s GDP. It would be hard to imagine a nation that relies on investment and international trade with the current economic leader by over taking it. China may yet be at a stalemate until proven that it can hold and invest their yield to correct their existing problems such as poverty, labour issues and push the Yuan value. If not then China will join Japan back at second place as expansion without productivity are only temporary. (Dewar 2012) This is not impossible task for China, it is most likely probable, but will take longer than the near future. In order to see where the US dollar is going we have to analyse the current market and study the past. Since the fixed exchange rate system of Bretton Woods in 1971 there has been an explosive growth of international central banks, most of investments of such are invested in US dollars. The expansion of this particular reserve has opened trade imbalances in the past two decades from its constant use. (Eichengreen 2009). All My Sons To what extent is Arthur Miller s All My Sons a critique of the American Dream Arthur Miller was an American playwright and was a prominent figure in America until his recent death in 2005. It was at this time of his death that Miller was considered one of the greatest American playwrights. In 1947, after his disastrous play The man who had all the luck , All My Sons was published, which brought Miller recognition and was the start of his successful career. All My Sons is set after World War 2 and touches on The Great Depression, which was a decade of dramatic and worldwide economic downturn beginning in some countries as early as 1928 . Keller argues that what he did during the war was merely good business practise. Keller also refers to himself as an uneducated man , which implies that he has achieved the financial part of the American Dream without the aid of books; however, it is his business that leads o his downfall. Miller criticises a capitalist system that encourages individuals to value their business sense over their moral sense . This means that Miller disagrees with people who crave profit and success at the expense of happiness for yourself and others. Keller earns respect from his neighbours, even though they all know the truth about his past, as at one point he is defined as a man among men . This suggests that men in the neighbourhood aspire to achieve what Keller has achieved a great business and successful family life. Realities dawn through the dramatic device of dialogue from neighbours which reveal Keller s past to us, for example when Sue says to Ann; There s not a person on the block who doesn t know the truth . This shows that people are aware of what Keller did and the fact that he is guilty, yet people still admire him as it does appear that he has achieved the American Dream. Wildlife Biologists study the physical and behavioral characteristics of wildlife, as well as human actions on animals and their ecosystem. The duties of a wildlife biologist range anywhere from writing a report to collecting data by experimenting and observing. For instance, a wildlife biologistmay have to collect data from observing animal reproduction, interaction between species, and movement patterns. Other times, wildlife biologists will spend time indoors writing papers that explain the data they collected, giving presentations, and doing pre experiment research. The term wildlife refers to birds, whales, gorillas, jaguars, rhinos, sharks, etc.. Like aforesaid, a wildlife biologist typically specializes in one of these animal categories. However, choice may be limited based on location. Coast states such as Florida, Texas, California, Alaska, Hawaii and others tend to offer many jobs in marine biology. Other landlocked states may have jobs that focus on land wildlife. There was no such thing as The English Legal System until William s invasion in 1066. William developed the legal system and introduced many rules. The white people wanted the Indians to be exterminated. An example of this happened in Colorado, when some Indian chiefs had sought peace and negotiation. In this negotiation, they had army protection, however, they were killed in their sleep. The Indians were also treated poorly as they suffered from the white Americans racism, their belief that they owned all the land, and paternalism. Throughout the process of reading this book I was shocked many times by the everyday acts of evil against innocent people. It is sad to know that they are so common in our world today. Acts such as robbery, rape and murder happen every day, and they don t always just take one thing from the victims. As Alex often shows us, during the process of evil acts the victims are dehumanized and beaten. The laws and regulations put in place today are supposed to protect people from ever experiencing these horrid acts, yet even in Alex s story, little justice is done for those who suffer. Setting and themes are both vital to the plot, as well as the overall atmosphere of the story. The main themes in Tomorrow When the War Began are ambiguity, friendships, and personal growth. These themes both make the story relatable to readers, and forces them out of their comfort zone. The setting of the novel, at least for Australian readers, is incredibly familiar and real. The places and culture John Marsden describes is uniquely Australian. Australian readers would usually have trouble seeing a war situation as real and relating it to their own lives, but with Australia as the backdrop, this book makes it much easier to envision. The setting is very important to the plot of Tomorrow When The War Began, as the bush that surrounds Wirrawee provides a hideout for Ellie and her friends when they are invaded. Some people think that left part of the brain is used for technical writing and the right side is used for creative writing (Patel). Technical writing is used in the fields of science, engineering, technology and the health sciences (Nordquist). Creative writingis used in novels, poems, epics, short stories, screenplays, songs, television scripts, etc. (YourDictionary). Although they have some minor similarities, the differences between Technical writingand Creative writingare clear. Technical Writing Background Technical writing is used in the professional world and is always non fiction. It helps to provide clear communication so that the contents are completely understood. Technical writing helps to put your ideas out on the table so that they may be considered. The only way that you can get patents is by providing exactly what your invention does, so you must be able to communicate clearly so you can receive a patent. The Society for Technical Communication (STC) offers this definition of technical writing: the process of gathering information from experts and presenting it to an audience in a clear, easily understandable form. Research The first accepted study correlating prayer to physical health was Collipp (1969), who followed eighteen terminally ill children. Ten were selected to be prayed for by Protestant Christians, while the other eight had no known prayer for their healing. The people praying only knew the names, genders, and basic conditions of those for whom they were praying. Neither the children, nor their families, nor the doctors were informed of the prayer treatment. After fifteen months, seven of the ten children receiving prayer treatment were alive, while only two of the eight not receiving treatment survived.
