I know that we will be studying it at Hitler Youth, as we have been every day for the past few
weeks. It suddenly strikes me as funny that the school has so little government funding that it s
students literally starve in the classroom but there s an abundance of our fГјhrer s beloved book to

Smirking at my depressing inside joke while I exit the school house is probably a mistake
because I ve caught the attention of this horrible kid, Henry, who sits two rows in front of me in
class. The thing about Henry is that he is a really advanced student and the teachers are always
giving him praise for his devotion to the Nazi Party. Despite that, he s a horrible kid with a horrible
attitude.

where did this saying come from? In 1963 Ernesto Miranda a ninth grade dropout (PBS) was
arrested and charged with kidnaping, rape, and armed robbery. The police interrogated him for two
hours. During the question Miranda supposedly admitted to all the crimes. The police then used
Miranda s confession to convict him in court. While in prison Miranda appealed his case and
eventually brought it to the Supreme Court. The court ruled five to four in favor of Miranda. The
Supreme Court was correct in their ruling of Miranda v. Arizona, because the majority opinion
correctly argued the fifth and sixth amendments. The dissenting opinion arguments regarding the
fifth and sixth amendments were incorrect and in other cases involving due process this
amendment was abused. In similar cases the court ruled in favor of the defendant because he was
harmed during the interrogation process. The court argued that the case was not about whether

challenged the stereotype of the young Indian students who were thought to be uneducated while
living on a reservation. Likewise, in the excerpt from The Hunger of Memory, Richard Rodriguez
shares his similar experience of being a minority and trying to break stereotypes of appearing

students who may cannot afford tutoring and are behind in their class. HOPE academy is making

There are several social issues that pertains to my service learning, but the main issue I would say
is getting the students the extra help that they need. Most of the students live in poverty or not the
best of areas and getting access to the extra help for school are slim to none. Most of the students
who come into the tutoring program at HOPE are not on their reading grade level or math grade
level. This is nothing to come to be a shock because there are a lot of kids every year that fall
behind their grade level. It seems to be the ones that do not live the best of areas.

employees is guided by management determination of where the employee best fits into the
organization. This suggests a mid level, management centric approach to employee self
development. The challenge for SAIC is to create a systems approach for self development that
allows significant latitude for the employee to chart their unique, self development strategy. SAIC

time annually. SAIC is on the verge of transitioning to become a learning organization. The sheer
