The document outlines a study examining the impact of various corporate governance factors on the financial performance of shipping firms in Bangladesh. It investigates the effect of board ownership, leadership, composition, size, and firm size on return on assets. Survey data was collected from 24 shipping companies and analyzed using pooled regression. The results found that board ownership, leadership, size, and firm size had a statistically significant positive impact on performance based on factual analysis. However, the perceptional analysis found only board leadership positively impacted performance.
