the second edition of the Energy
Journalism Excellence Awards (EJEA).
The awards are to recognize,
celebrate & encourage quality energy
journalism. Articles/Reports covering
the following categories are invited:
1. Energy Policies and Regulations
2. Oil and Gas Upstream and Downstream
3. Power Generation
4. Geothermal Power Generation
5. Power Infrastructure and Transmission
6. Power Distribution and Retail
7. Nuclear Electricity
8. Green Energy Initiatives
9. Energy Finance
10. Community Relations in Energy
11. Energy Journalist of the Year
AWARD CONDITIONS
a) Work must have been broadcast/published in
a Kenyan newspaper,television, radio station or
online in the period between 1st Jan 2015 and
30th June 2016.
b) Only submissions from Kenyan journalists
are eligible.
c) For print entries, send two copies of printed
article/paper cuttings, a filled entry form and
professional bio as well as two colour passport
photos.
d) For electronic entries, send two DVDs/CDs,
a filled entry form, a personal and professional
bio as well as two colour passport photos.
e) For online work, send the link, a filled entry
form, a personal and professional bio as well
as two colour passport photos to

f) All hard copy entries must be placed in
sealed envelopes labeled “Energy Journalism
Excellence Awards’ addressed to:
