Introduction & creating social impression with psychological dynamics assignment
1. Hi,
My name is Md ashfak sayed. I’m living in a City named Dhaka, The Capital of Bangladesh.
And I’m an IT (Information technology) Professional. I’ve completed My High school grad. in
2010 & started my career. I didn’t wanted to stop my education here, but i’m a bit unfortunate
that’s why i had to pause my education & to move on with my career. I hope i’m going to start
my education again as soon as possible.
As an IT professional & a freelancer my job is to serve IT related Services for my clients from
different parts of the world. It’s a quite interesting job. Because it’s my duty to meet & serve
peoples from different Countries, Languages, Cultures, Religions & more, Creating a great
impression is also a daily task for me. Because for me a good impression means a Long term
business relationship.
Here are a few Quick tricks that help me a lot to create a good impression with my new clients:
1. A Smiley Face.
2. A Friendly attitude.
3. An Understanding attitude.
4. & Many more
Doing tasks on time, Time Scheduling also creates a great impression. All of this are my
professional Social Experience. But let’s come to our normal Society. I begin a research using
the Pigmelon effect, confirmation biases & self fulfilling prophecies to create a great impression
into my normal life.
Here’s how I’ve done it.
At first i created a list of neighbors & ordered the list into set item. And then i randomized it from
randomizer.org to save my time & to make my research more effective.
Here’s a glance of my randomizer form:
2. And Here’s my Randomized list of set that i begin to start my research:

3. At first I started to use “Pygmalion effect” to the selected people.
As we know the Pygmalion effect deals with expectation and performances, as expectation
rises, performances also rises. In my practical life I have just applied few of these principles.
And get results in return. For getting positive perception from my surrounding, I tried few
tactics to achieve positive perception.
A Smiley Face, A Friendly attitude, An Understanding attitude, Helping them when needed,
sharing my personal life with them helped me to achieve why was looking for.
By these instruments I was getting positive cues from my locality. They used to like me and
share many more things about their lives and so on. I did also start sharing my experiences and
ideas with them. By this way it created a positive network between us and enhanced our
relationships. And interestingly it also raised their expectation from me. They used to invite me
in their personal programs like birthday party, marriage ceremony and I had to attend those
parties. I had to maintain those tight schedules because I have created such important and
significant personality traits to them.
By observing peoples self fulfilling prophecy i can make sure that i was doing the right thing to
create a great impression into their life.
“A self-fulfilling prophecy is a prediction that directly or indirectly causes itself to become true,
by the very terms of the prophecy itself, due to positive feedback between belief and behavior.
Although examples of such prophecies can be found in literature as far back as ancient Greece
and ancient India, it is 20th-century sociologist Robert K. Merton who is credited with coining
the expression "self-fulfilling prophecy" and formalizing its structure and consequences. In his
book Social Theory and Social Structure, Merton defines self-fulfilling prophecy in the following
terms: e.g. when Roxanna falsely believes her marriage will fail, her fears of such failure actually
cause the marriage to fail.”
After analyzing peoples self fulfilling prophecies about I’m an important part of their life. I
started to analyze the confirmation bias so that I can be accurate with my prediction about the
good impression i already created. And to continue fulfilling peoples expectation and continue
to keep the good impression.
Here’s how I analyzed my confirmation bias.
This research consists five respondents or participant. That’s why the highest value is 5 and the
lowest value is 0
4. Positive feedback from people

This bias & analyzing helped me to understand that my prediction about, “I’m an important
part into their life” is quite accurate.
So, the summary of this research is If we fulfill peoples expectations, try to stay friendly with
them, help them when needed and do share our personal experiences Creates a great
Impression.
Thank you
