2. High Risk Work Licence
• A licence which allows you to perform certain kind of high risk work
are known as high risk work licence. With high risk work licence you
can operate a forklift, high elevated work platform, vehicle loading
crane and other equipments.
• The high risk work licences are nationally recognised and valid for 5
years. If you hold a high risk work licence then you can work in any
state or part of Australia.
• In order to getting a new high risk work licence, candidate need to
be trained and assessed by vocational training organisations like
Workplace Training Centre etc.
3. Courses To Get A High Risk Work Licence
• High risk work is a renewable and recognised in every part or state
of Australia. There are number of courses available to get a HRW
licence. These courses are:
1. Forklift Training Course
2. Vehicle Loading Crane Course
3. EWP Boom Lift Training Course
4. Dogging Course
Beside these course you can also get HRW licence in Telehander,
Slewing Mobile Crane, Bridge Crane, Forklift Refresher etc.
4. Forklift Training Course
• On successful completion of Forklift Licence NSW Course, you
can operate forklifts within Australia.
• Forklift Licence is of two types: Forklift LO and Forklift LF
• The total duration of the course is 3 days including training and
assessment. The fees of the course is $500 AUD.
• On successful completion of the course candidate will learn how to
operate a forklift, travelling with high loads, inspection of forklift
before starting work and other learning.
5. Vehicle Loading Training Course
• This course covers the requirement to operate a vehicle loading
crane under 10 metre tonnes
• After completing this course, candidate will be able to operate
vehicle loading crane like Hiab, Palflinger and other cranes which
are designed to lift the capacity under 10 m tonnes.
• This course is a one day course of 8 hours. The training and
assessment for this course will be conducted on the same day.
• The training can be conducted either at organisation’s workplace or
at candidate’s location too.
6. EWP Boom Lift Course
• In Australia, if you want to operate a elevated work platform, you
need a licence to operate the same.
• This course covers the requirements to operate EWP like Self
Propelled EWPs, Truck Mounted EWPs
• In order to get a EWP Licence Sydney, the must of 18 of age or
more. Candidate have to provide 100 identification points as per the
NSW Safework Regulations.
• On successful completion, a high risk work licence will be issued by
Safework NSW after submitting the application with them.
7. Dogging Course
• This high risk work licence is used for crane dogging which allows
candidate to direct the movement of cranes, lifting beams,
inspecting the lifting equipments and other related operations with in
Australia.
• In order to get a Dogging Licence NSW, candidate have to find a
RTO offering training in Dogging. After that candidate have to
complete the informal and formal learning sessions including
training and assessment.
• On successful completion, a high risk work licence will be issued by
Safework NSW after submitting the application with them.
