Low Cost Weather Station with Remote Control
Abstract
Weather station is a device for gathering and interpreting meteorological data such as
temperature, pressure, humidity, wind speed, light intensity, etc. This weather station is aimed at
typical home user and for that reason it is financially affordable than the other offered a
professional weather station. In this paper the weather conditions in the outside environment is
monitored by placing system with set of sensors and transmitting the data to the PC section in
wireless communication and depend upon the conditions the electrical devices inside the home is
controlled.

Existing System:
In traditional method the devices are expensive and do not connect to a PC and data
visualization. And in case of any abnormalities there is no such automatic device to control the
electrical devices from avoiding damage. Hence we proposed an automatic weather status
intimating system.

Proposed System:
In this proposed system, the weather conditions in the outside environment of the home
or any buildings are monitored and the monitored data’s are transmitted to the user section which
consists of PC. From the collected data the user in the home can plan their schedule and way of
dressings etc. And apart from this if there is abnormal condition like raining or heavy wind speed
means the data’s will reached the system within the home and thus the controller in the system
will switch OFF or slow down the speed of the electrical devices inside the home. The sensors
data’s are displayed in LCD.
