Speech On Creativity
In our society, creativity is seen as the object of success, this is mainly because creativity leads to the
flourishing of societies. Throughout ancient and current history creativity has been shown in many
different ways, some of which have helped the human race become the advanced specimen that it
has become today, some of these awe–inspiring creations of creativity include: the wheel, the phone,
the car, and the rocket ship that landed on the moon. Without creativity, thehuman race wouldn't be
as advanced as it currently is. But, unfortunately there has been a drought of creativity in our society
in recent generations, more importantly in the generation of our youth. A loss of creativity in our
youth could lead to the steady decline of our civilization, forbidding us from becoming a more
advanced species. So, in order to counteract this, we should have classes that specifically teach
students about creative thinking.
The importance of creativity in human society is incomprehensible, everything that you live with is
the creation of creativity, and all the controversial problems in the world that have been resolved
were solved by using creativity. This is one of the most important reasons why a school or schools
should have a classes mainly based on teaching students about creativity thinking, those classes
would help them think on a more complex level. The skill of complex thinking is important to the
youth because it would allow them to metaphorically think outside the

Creativity in the curriculum
A school with creativity at the heart of the learning process will benefit by increasing the motivation
of staff and pupils, says former head, Dave Weston. In this article and case study, he shows the way
to more imaginative approaches to curriculum planning
'Creativity is the defeat of habit by originality' Arthur Koestler
Many school leaders and teachers realise that is now time to take more control over the curriculum
and to include a greater emphasis on creativity in the learning and teaching process.
During the last five years, headteachers have developed the confidence to take innovative and
imaginative approaches to curriculum planning and school organisation. This is due to some
encouragement...show more content...
The teachers work on topics with small groups of pupils while the rest of the class work on
self–selected activities. Projects are often open–ended and therefore curriculum planning is flexible
and is sometimes teacher–directed and sometimes child–initiated. This philosophy is inspiring and
can be partially transferred to the different framework of the British primary school. Whole–school
approach to developing 'creativity'
For school leaders the first step in developing a creative school is the fostering of a whole–school
approach. Creativity is not an add–on and it cannot be imposed by the headteacher. There needs to
be discussion, involvement and ownership. The debate should be based around some of the
following points:
taking control of the curriculum by the school
the creation of a school with creativity at the heart of the learning process
enhancing the motivation for staff and pupils
fostering the professional development of all the staff, both teaching and non–teaching
involving governors and parents in a whole–school approach to creativity and showing how this
philosophy supports school improvement and high standards of achievement
getting the pupils involved in school issues (regarding the curriculum and the learning, perhaps
through the school council). How does your school measure up?
So how far has your school got in developing a creative approach to learning and teaching? Ask
yourself:
Have you discussed

Examples Of Creativity In Creativity
Do constraints and limitations enhance or reduce creativity in design?
1.1 Introduction
Creativity is defined as the tendency to generate or recognize ideas, alternatives, or possibilities that
may be useful in solving problems, communicating with others, and entertaining ourselves and others
[1].
Creativity is desired everywhere. It's in arts, entertainment, business, mathematics, engineering,
medicine, social sciences, and physical sciences. Everywhere creativity is singing worthy role. A
common element in creativity is originality and imagination. Creativity is a new and infrequent
valuable idea, New may signify to the exact inventor or the humanity or domain within which
novelty occurs.
1.2 Creativity Roles in Design
Today world is competitive and fast, in this state without creativity designer can't attract the
customer. Creativity is the origin of innovative design and gets appreciation when it is loved and
accepted by people. Treasured creative philosophies are giving new dimension to design.
Creativity transmits feeling of extensive series freedom to design, invent and dream. However in
engineering and science creativity is useful only if it fits into the reality of the physical world.
Creativity will be appreciated, if it fits to the reality– Creativity will be respected when it's
innovative. Innovative will be treasured when...show more content...

Creativity – Discipline
Creativity is indeed for startups to keep their businesses sustainable in the market and to keep the
pace with their competitors. On the other hand, creativity means new constant ideas and processes
which conflict with discipline that businesses need to insure the stability. Discipline is a requirement
for companies to grow as it will help the work to be done in order to implement the growth plan
(Goins, 2010). At the same time, businesses can plan the extent of creativity needed to reach the
goals and objectives of businesses. Accordingly, startups should structure their plans and then apply
a certain innovative ideas in specific time manner to monitor the business growth and give a proper
timing to take the advantage because the competition in...show more content...

Information Technology very well. Therefore, the responses will be easy to take and controlled.
Risk Taking– Risk Management
High growth companies are more risky than others to which they seek more investments. However,
entrepreneurs are taking risk in proposing ideas and executing them not only in financing which is
definitely will be affected. In addition, entrepreneurs are caring more about motivation to carry on
their businesses so, taking risk is indeed for them with the ability to manage their risks. Well, high
growth companies may take risks and manage them, they need to understand the circumstances
might occur by taking risk. Also, they should understand the way the risk taken will affect the
company (Tozzi, 2009).

Argumentative Essay On Creativity
The Creativity Epidemic Most would agree that the technological advances today have caused this
generation to become crippled in their creativity. The lack of face–to–face communication has
severely damaged this generations ability to separate text–speech from formal speeches. Being born
in a generation were technology is only at it's peak, it's hard to separate yourself from the tech–savvy
world. As stated in the article The Creativity Crisis by Po Bronson and Ashley Merryman the
accepted definition of creativity is production of something original and useful, and that's what's
reflected in the tests. There is never one right answer. To be creative requires divergent thinking
(generating many unique ideas) and then convergent thinking (combining those ideas into the best
result). When most think of technology you only see the advances made, the achievements fulfilled
and the key factor it plays in our society today, for example as in The Limits to Creativity in
Education: Dilemmas for the Educator It argues that the notion of creativity may be value– and
culture–specific and that this poses the so–called liberal educator with various dilemmas of principle
and pedagogy, which are explored (Anna Craft 1). In other words, technology is a blessing seeing
all the doors its opened for us in the short amount of time its been here. But it's also a curse. In
retrospect others might argue that technology helps open the door to a child's imagination. As stated
in The Pros and Cons of Technology by Amanda Ronan on January 16, 2017; Technology gives
children the ability to learn in ways their parents and grandparents never had. Today's learners have
immediate access to answers and research. Yet, that immediate access is changing the way students
think about work and how they feel emotionally (Amanda Ronan). This significant emotional change
is centered around the deprivation on other social outlets. The youth of today's social and
educational status is complete centered around where they rank in the chain of technological
coherency. Seeing how tablets and computers are replacing textbooks due to everything being
encrypted into software anyone that hasn't evolved is sure to be left behind in a stone age of their
own.

Personal Reflection On Creativity
Reflection Paper on Creativity Throughout this creative arts class, I have learned much about
creativity and how it fits in our world around us. I see myself as creative person and am so thankful
that I understand and appreciate God's gift of creativity given to us. We are to use our creativity to
glorify God in all that we do. I appreciate all of God's creation and use it to be more creative. My
views of creativity have changed by learning more about how creativity has been valued over time in
our cultures. Creativity is essential for sustainability in the future. I believe that creativity will
continue to change over time. Werner (2000) sums this up, "I believe that as our lives and our
global ideology of creativity evolve, we will acknowledge more clearly both how much lies
beyond creativity, and how creativity is our human drive toward the beyond" (p. 270). Being
created in God's image allows us to be creative and to glorify God through our own creativity. In
Genesis 1:27, the Bible tells us that God created man in his own image. "So God created mankind
in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them". Being
created in the image of God, as Christians we are to glorify God through our creativity. Since we
are created in His image, we therefore possess some of the characteristics of God, including
creativity. Creativity is the human impulse to take what God has made, shape it, and make it new.
This can be a painter, a

Summary: On Defining Creativity
"On Defining Creativity" is a dry and scholarly article written to persuade readers' views regarding
usage of the terms "creative" and "creativity." The article is convincing, and uses logical reasoning
combined with etymology to craft an argument. "How 'Rock Star' Became a Business Buzzword" is
an observation (rather than an attempt to redefine a word like "On Defining Creativity") that is
entertaining and well–supported. Both articles are convincing in their own respects, each employing
different techniques. However, the articles do not make conclusive statements: "On Defining
Creativity" ends in a multitude of questions and a call for more thought on the term "creativity," and
"How 'Rock Star' Became a Business Buzzword" ends with a tale

Thesis Statement On Creativity
The term creativity is used for the purpose of describing the ability that is concerned with the
process of creating something new or valuable. This ability allows a person to surpass the rules,
practices, methods, forms or similar kind of activities that the traditional society may be performing
at that time. Creativity is one of the most important things that have allowed the people of the
society to move forward and urge for development. All the development that has been made in
various aspects of human life can be directly connected with the creativity. All the industry leaders of
the world have secured this place because of the level of creativity and innovation that they showed.
They used this creativity for creating something new that has allowed them to develop completely

Importance of Creativity
Why is creativity an important aspect of business organization? Explain the major issues facing the
manager in encouraging creativity in the organization and supporting creative people in order to
improve performance.
Creativity is an important aspect of business organization. This is particularly important as
companies are facing continuous changes in the global economy. Change is a continuously
phenomenon which happens to the organizations both internally and externally that organizations
need to make creative plans and reactions towards predictable or unpredictable challenges.
The organizational environment has been changing rapidly. It is a set of forces and conditions

He stated that finding innovative solutions requires imagination and creativity, while creativity is a
necessary preliminary to innovation. Hence, creativity is important to the performance of
organizations. Although creativity generally leads people to think of new products, we should not
limit creativity in other areas such as new forms of organization, new markets, new production
processes, that is anything new to the present organization structure, culture and functions of the
organization. Hence, some types of problems which require creative thinking are listed as follows.
But there is limitless application of creative thinking (University of Leicester, 2007, p. 90):
пЃ¬how to make more effective use of resources including management time,
пЃ¬how to improve a product's appeal to customers,
пЃ¬how to increase staff motivation,
пЃ¬how to identify new business opportunities,
пЃ¬how to improve the quality of production output,
пЃ¬defining the vision/mission/objectives of the organization, and
пЃ¬looking for a new organization of work flows.
If an organization is able to make effective use of resources which has becoming more scarce and
costly, such as the continual rise of oil prices, the organization will be able to create cost advantage
over its competitors. Managers at Louis Vuitton, the most profitable luxury brand in the world, have

The brothers Kellogg found cornflakes haphazardly when they forgot about some cooked wheat.
When they found it, it had gone stale. They forced it through a roll, hoping to obtain long sheets of
the dough. But what they found instead were flakes, which they toasted (Kellogg Company, 2007:
Online). Although their original intention was not to produce cornflakes, personally I think that
GuilfordВґs model is still appropriate, just in a less obvious way. The divergent thinking here lies in
the fact that unlike most people, they didnВґt throw the bad wheat away and rather decided to work
with it. On a later stage they recognized the value of their findings and hence, learned how to use
them. This shows the creativity as stated by Guilford. He doesnВґt mention intelligence explicitly,
neither the capacity of learning and reasoning nor the ability of recognizing important information
and making links. Nevertheless it appears clear to me, that this is the basis of his whole concept of
creativity. Without this kind of intelligence, the four steps stated above, especially the elaboration of
ideas, become impossible.

What Is Creativity In Creativity
Introduction
Creativity, in the form of the ability to effectively generate unusual solutions to relevant problems,
can be a source of significant competitive advantage, especially in rapidly changing environments.
Creativity is important to entrepreneurs because it is the first stage in the process of innovation,
providing the stimulus for opportunity discovery and new venture creation. As new entrants,
entrepreneurs often justify themselves upon the same dimensions as creativity: novelty, usefulness,
and appropriateness. Arguably, one of the first tasks demanded of an entrepreneur is to manifest
creative ability through the conceiving of new product–market opportunities and unique value
propositions. From these initial acts of creativity, entrepreneurs must build effective organizations
that can repeatedly bring ideas to commercially valuable forms in order to survive and grow.

In considering the type of problems requiring creative thought, Mumford, Hester, and Robledo

it can be said that creative behaviours result to some degree in identifying original and better ways
to accomplish something useful. Some level of creativity might be expected as a requirement across
a wide spectrum of occupations (Shalley and Zhou, 2008). Examples of organizational–creativity
contexts might include business models, strategic decision making, problem solving, product
development, managerial activities, marketing, operational processes, financing, and everyday
improvements in workplace routines. It should be recognized that there are opportunities to infuse

Creativity As An Act Of Creativity
One of the most mysterious traits of human beings, Creativity is difficult to grasp. The common
notion is that it belongs few gifted individuals, or the source of exceptional pieces of work. The
Dictionary defines it as 'the ability to transcend traditional ideas, rules, patterns, relationships, or the
like, and to create meaningful new ideas, forms, methods, interpretations, etc.; originality,
progressiveness, or imagination', and the word root is 'creative', which first appeared in 1670s
meaning "having the quality of creating". In this essay, I define creativity as the "magical" process
through which the abstract comes into manifestation in physical form: anything that produces the
new (even if not meaningful as per above definition), including changes or transformation to existing
lives, spheres, domains or realms, be them desired or undesired, can be considered an act of
creativity.
When it comes to psychological creativity, the 'opus' of the individual is "the psyche itself", "the
awakening of the soul" (Hillman, 1972, p.21) or, in Psychosynthesis terms, Self–realisation: realising
our creative potential (Whitmore, 2000, p.20). Creativity thus has a central place for
Psychosynthesis, for it awakes the connection to Self. On the personal level, this connection enables
clients to better effect desired changes in their lives; for counsellors, it is essential to enable
therapists to use bifocal vision, and regard clients' unmanifest potential. By bringing more awareness

Reflection Essay On Creativity
Creativity flows from our fingertips and consumers our bodies, letting us erupted our unsaid
thoughts and feelings in an constructive healthy way. Life would be drape without creativity.
Creativity brings people together and forces them apart, hindering their relationship for the love of
art, a beautiful and wretched process all at the same time. It amazes me how people can be nurtured
in similar environments yet still have such unique and vast ideas and ways they express creativity.
From this humanities class I have learned multiple ways on how artist use their creativity in a
structured way. I can know tell when vanishing points pop up in my day to day life. For my future
career I will have to have a high level of creativity. I wanted to become a dietitian, which means I

What Creativity Means to Me: An Opinion Essay
Introduction Creativity does not have an assigned or universally accepted definition. Thus the
true nature of creativity cannot be confined to a single definition. In this text, I discuss creativity.
More specifically, I concern myself with what creativity means to me and to others. What
Creativity Means to Me In my opinion, creativity has got to do with the ability to come up with
new things or ideas. Over time, we have had individuals design, produce or even manufacture
items which were not in existence before. On the other hand, we also have people who have
sought to improve or build on the ideas of others so as to come up with an even better concept,
design or invention. These two groups of people in my opinion could be regarded as being rather
creative. Further, creativity in my view also has got to do with the ability to solve problems or
challenges in a unique way. For instance, an individual who solves a recurring problem within a
group setting could be regarded creative. Some of the people I consider creative based on their
ability to come up with new ideas and/or build upon the ideas of others include but are not limited
to Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein, Steve Jobs and Bill Gates. In my opinion, all these individuals at
some point engaged their creative minds in the development of an entirely new concept, an idea or
product or built upon the ideas of others to come up with even better ideas, concepts or products.
What Creativity Means to Others As I have

The creative industries has many different characteristics within it which make it diverse from other
industries. One of these differentiating characteristics is related to the motivation of the workers.
Creatives are said to be intrinsically motivated. Ryan and Deci (2000) define intrinsic motivation as
doing something due to the appeal and satisfaction that will be gained. Managers from another point
of view are known to be more extrinsically motivated meaning the motivation comes from the
external reward which will be gained (Ryan and Deci, 2000). Intrinsic and extrinsic motivation
contrast each other and this concept can also be related to creative people and managers within the
creative industries. This essay will not only discuss these ideas but also critically evaluate the
effects of these ideas of motivation on creativity, creative people and creative work.
Creative people are said to be intrinsically motivated. They are driven by the enjoyment they gain
from producing their work. A common sterotype which is useful to critically evaluate the
generalisation of creative people and intrinsic motivation is the starving artist. Filer (1986)
describes the starving artist sterotype as the economic condition of artists. Artists will produce work
even though they cannot gain financially in any way from its production. This stereotype is very
common among creative people. A famous quote written by Virginia Woolf reading "have five

Creativity
The walls of the Louvre are covered with artistic masterpieces, widely recognized as some of the
most treasured, creative works known to man. The unique stroke of a brush or the layering of paint
can distinguish these geniuses from the masses. Despite the ability to label these pieces of art as
especially creative, it remains unclear how one can truly qualify the defining characteristics of
creativity. This faculty is commonly viewed as intangible, as `a spark of creativity,' or, `a flash of
creativity.' This phenomenon, which lies at the foundation of our artistic culture, eludes our current
grasp of understanding. For some, creativity rests within our human nature as an integral part of our

And as the mole on my right breast is where it was when I was born, though all my body has been
woven of new stuff time after time, so through the ghost of the unquiet father the image of the
unliving son looks forth. In the intense instant of imagination, when the mind, Shelley says, is a
fading coal that which I was is that which I am and that which in possibility I may come to be. So
in the future, the sister of the past, I may see myself as I sit here now but by reflection from that
which then I shall be (Joyce 186–7).
Joyce's ability to produce creative analogies shines through in this passage; though Stephen's
physical characteristic of the mole on his chest remains the same, he declares that his "body has
been woven of new stuff time after time." This analogy of the physical characteristics of his body
through time is a deep insight into the contrast between the ever–changing individual and the
continuity of a human being's identity throughout his lifetime. Not only does he express an insight
into
human nature, which is far from readily obvious, he creatively uses powerful imagery, such as `the
ghost of the unquiet father,' which strikes the reader, painting clear pictures of seemingly intangible
subjects.
While Joyce masterfully provides examples of these basic characteristics of literature, the more
controversial William Faulkner provides an alternate creative style. In his novel,

Persuasive Essay On Creativity
Creativity is the ability to think divergently; this means that the person has the ability to look
beyond the traditional use of something. There are ways to measure how well a person can do
this: one example could be to give them an ordinary object, a paper clip, along with 60 seconds to
come up with all the different purposes of that object. It is also the potential to act freely outside of
a set way to do something. This potential includes the capacity to regard the world this way has great
importance– it can provide a new and unique outlook on problems like health care, peace in
Afghanistan, and how to save the Gulf of Mexico. However, the number of people with this ability
is rapidly declining, so a solution is needed now. Since teaching the knowledge along with
preparing students for their future careers and lives is the purpose of school, it would be a
favorable idea to form a class to help cultivate this ability in students. [A class focusing on creative
thinking would give students the opportunity to tap into the abstract thinking part of their brain in
addition to learning how to apply it to real–world situations.] Currently, the only way a student has
the ability to tap into this nonlinear way of thinking is in an art class, but these classes do not teach
them how to apply this skill to real–world problems. Some schools have already tried implementing
a similar class, such as an engineering course, but the need for creative thinkers extends well beyond
the field

Change, creativity and innovation are essential elements for survival and growth of an organization.
Creativity is vital for the birth of fresh and beneficial ideas. Creative thinking allows groups and
individuals to solve problems or stimulate to think differently in order to bring forth fruitful ideas.
The above mentioned creative thinking enabled our team of six different personalities to come
together and implement a plan to solve a complex problem in a hospital. Our assigned task was to
recommend a plan in order to alleviate hospital readmission among elderly population within thirty
days of discharge. In this paper the author is narrating the team dynamics, functionalities and
personal competencies in the process of recommending a change in the system. As a member in the
innovation leadership team the author is also reflecting on the assessment, capacity for innovation in
the organization which is the hospital where the team is assigned.
Organizations
Organizations are dynamic living systems and change is an inherent capacity of living systems. So
organizations need people who can perceive, understand and work effectively in order to make
positive changes (Dawson & Andriopoulos, 2014). Our team assessed the organization which was
the hospital where the readmissions of elderly population have increased. The assessment revealed
the possible causative factors behind the readmission of elderly before thirty days of discharge.
Patients may not recollect all the discharge

On the Nature of Creativity
On The Nature of Creativity All things created in over the many years is categorised as
something that's useful, valuable, clarity, innovative, novel or...creative. The two philosophers
Larry Briskman and Carl Huasman have written up an essay on their belief of what creativity is,
there understanding and notion of creativity both include a criteria to match for a product to be
creative. If creativity is based on criteria then we can agree that criteria are based on a set of rules
to abide with, and then if that's the case creativity is defined in an objective perspective. Creativity
has many views in this case the philosophers have explained in in a non–psychological way.
Creativity is more based on a subjective and psychological view which will be explained in detail
later on in the essay. If creativity were to be assessed by criteria then creativity simply can't be
called "creative". In other words this means if something is to be creative but has to be evaluated
by someone to be classified creative then how can we call this product a creative product. As
mentioned by David Jones "any group of experts who claim to be able to objectively identify the
aesthetic value of a work must be mistaken. They can do no more than mutually reinforce their
own personal taste and preferences".(1) I see creativity as a personal belief of what you see as an
audience, you can't determine a product to be creative If it's not valuable or if it needs to be
evaluated(2). If I took the

Essay On Creativity

  • 1. Speech On Creativity In our society, creativity is seen as the object of success, this is mainly because creativity leads to the flourishing of societies. Throughout ancient and current history creativity has been shown in many different ways, some of which have helped the human race become the advanced specimen that it has become today, some of these awe–inspiring creations of creativity include: the wheel, the phone, the car, and the rocket ship that landed on the moon. Without creativity, thehuman race wouldn't be as advanced as it currently is. But, unfortunately there has been a drought of creativity in our society in recent generations, more importantly in the generation of our youth. A loss of creativity in our youth could lead to the steady decline of our civilization, forbidding us from becoming a more advanced species. So, in order to counteract this, we should have classes that specifically teach students about creative thinking. The importance of creativity in human society is incomprehensible, everything that you live with is the creation of creativity, and all the controversial problems in the world that have been resolved were solved by using creativity. This is one of the most important reasons why a school or schools should have a classes mainly based on teaching students about creativity thinking, those classes would help them think on a more complex level. The skill of complex thinking is important to the youth because it would allow them to metaphorically think outside the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Essay on Creativity in Education Creativity in the curriculum A school with creativity at the heart of the learning process will benefit by increasing the motivation of staff and pupils, says former head, Dave Weston. In this article and case study, he shows the way to more imaginative approaches to curriculum planning 'Creativity is the defeat of habit by originality' Arthur Koestler Many school leaders and teachers realise that is now time to take more control over the curriculum and to include a greater emphasis on creativity in the learning and teaching process. During the last five years, headteachers have developed the confidence to take innovative and imaginative approaches to curriculum planning and school organisation. This is due to some encouragement...show more content... The teachers work on topics with small groups of pupils while the rest of the class work on self–selected activities. Projects are often open–ended and therefore curriculum planning is flexible and is sometimes teacher–directed and sometimes child–initiated. This philosophy is inspiring and can be partially transferred to the different framework of the British primary school. Whole–school approach to developing 'creativity' For school leaders the first step in developing a creative school is the fostering of a whole–school approach. Creativity is not an add–on and it cannot be imposed by the headteacher. There needs to be discussion, involvement and ownership. The debate should be based around some of the following points: taking control of the curriculum by the school the creation of a school with creativity at the heart of the learning process enhancing the motivation for staff and pupils fostering the professional development of all the staff, both teaching and non–teaching involving governors and parents in a whole–school approach to creativity and showing how this philosophy supports school improvement and high standards of achievement getting the pupils involved in school issues (regarding the curriculum and the learning, perhaps through the school council). How does your school measure up? So how far has your school got in developing a creative approach to learning and teaching? Ask yourself: Have you discussed Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Examples Of Creativity In Creativity Do constraints and limitations enhance or reduce creativity in design? 1.1 Introduction Creativity is defined as the tendency to generate or recognize ideas, alternatives, or possibilities that may be useful in solving problems, communicating with others, and entertaining ourselves and others [1]. Creativity is desired everywhere. It's in arts, entertainment, business, mathematics, engineering, medicine, social sciences, and physical sciences. Everywhere creativity is singing worthy role. Creativity is the origin of innovative design and gets appreciation when it is loved and accepted by people. Treasured creative philosophies are giving new dimension to design. Creativity transmits feeling of extensive series freedom to design, invent and dream. However in engineering and science creativity is useful only if it fits into the reality of the physical world. On the other hand, creativity means new constant ideas and processes which conflict with discipline that businesses need to insure the stability. Discipline is a requirement for companies to grow as it will help the work to be done in order to implement the growth plan (Goins, 2010). At the same time, businesses can plan the extent of creativity needed to reach the goals and objectives of businesses. Accordingly, startups should structure their plans and then apply a certain innovative ideas in specific time manner to monitor the business growth and give a proper timing to take the advantage because the competition in...show more content... • 5. Argumentative Essay On Creativity The Creativity Epidemic Most would agree that the technological advances today have caused this generation to become crippled in their creativity. The lack of face–to–face communication has severely damaged this generations ability to separate text–speech from formal speeches. Being born in a generation were technology is only at it's peak, it's hard to separate yourself from the tech–savvy world. As stated in the article The Creativity Crisis by Po Bronson and Ashley Merryman the accepted definition of creativity is production of something original and useful, and that's what's reflected in the tests. There is never one right answer. To be creative requires divergent thinking (generating many unique ideas) and then convergent thinking (combining those ideas into the best result). When most think of technology you only see the advances made, the achievements fulfilled and the key factor it plays in our society today, for example as in The Limits to Creativity in Education: Dilemmas for the Educator It argues that the notion of creativity may be value– and culture–specific and that this poses the so–called liberal educator with various dilemmas of principle and pedagogy, which are explored (Anna Craft 1). In other words, technology is a blessing seeing all the doors its opened for us in the short amount of time its been here. But it's also a curse. In retrospect others might argue that technology helps open the door to a child's imagination. As stated in The Pros and Cons of Technology by Amanda Ronan on January 16, 2017; Technology gives children the ability to learn in ways their parents and grandparents never had. Today's learners have immediate access to answers and research. Yet, that immediate access is changing the way students think about work and how they feel emotionally (Amanda Ronan). This significant emotional change is centered around the deprivation on other social outlets. The youth of today's social and educational status is complete centered around where they rank in the chain of technological coherency. Seeing how tablets and computers are replacing textbooks due to everything being encrypted into software anyone that hasn't evolved is sure to be left behind in a stone age of their own. • 6. Personal Reflection On Creativity Reflection Paper on Creativity Throughout this creative arts class, I have learned much about creativity and how it fits in our world around us. I see myself as creative person and am so thankful that I understand and appreciate God's gift of creativity given to us. We are to use our creativity to glorify God in all that we do. I appreciate all of God's creation and use it to be more creative. My views of creativity have changed by learning more about how creativity has been valued over time in our cultures. Creativity is essential for sustainability in the future. I believe that creativity will continue to change over time. Werner (2000) sums this up, "I believe that as our lives and our global ideology of creativity evolve, we will acknowledge more clearly both how much lies beyond creativity, and how creativity is our human drive toward the beyond" (p. 270). Being created in God's image allows us to be creative and to glorify God through our own creativity. In Genesis 1:27, the Bible tells us that God created man in his own image. "So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them". Being created in the image of God, as Christians we are to glorify God through our creativity. Since we are created in His image, we therefore possess some of the characteristics of God, including creativity. Creativity is the human impulse to take what God has made, shape it, and make it new. This can be a painter, a Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Summary: On Defining Creativity "On Defining Creativity" is a dry and scholarly article written to persuade readers' views regarding usage of the terms "creative" and "creativity." The article is convincing, and uses logical reasoning combined with etymology to craft an argument. "How 'Rock Star' Became a Business Buzzword" is an observation (rather than an attempt to redefine a word like "On Defining Creativity") that is entertaining and well–supported. Both articles are convincing in their own respects, each employing different techniques. However, the articles do not make conclusive statements: "On Defining Creativity" ends in a multitude of questions and a call for more thought on the term "creativity," and "How 'Rock Star' Became a Business Buzzword" ends with a tale Get more content on HelpWriting.net

He stated that finding innovative solutions requires imagination and creativity, while creativity is a necessary preliminary to innovation. Hence, creativity is important to the performance of organizations. Although creativity generally leads people to think of new products, we should not limit creativity in other areas such as new forms of organization, new markets, new production processes, that is anything new to the present organization structure, culture and functions of the organization. Hence, some types of problems which require creative thinking are listed as follows. But there is limitless application of creative thinking (University of Leicester, 2007, p. 90): пЃ¬how to make more effective use of resources including management time, пЃ¬how to improve a product's appeal to customers, пЃ¬how to increase staff motivation, пЃ¬how to identify new business opportunities, пЃ¬how to improve the quality of production output, пЃ¬defining the vision/mission/objectives of the organization, and пЃ¬looking for a new organization of work flows. When they found it, it had gone stale. They forced it through a roll, hoping to obtain long sheets of the dough. But what they found instead were flakes, which they toasted (Kellogg Company, 2007: Online). Although their original intention was not to produce cornflakes, personally I think that GuilfordВґs model is still appropriate, just in a less obvious way. The divergent thinking here lies in the fact that unlike most people, they didnВґt throw the bad wheat away and rather decided to work with it. On a later stage they recognized the value of their findings and hence, learned how to use them. This shows the creativity as stated by Guilford. He doesnВґt mention intelligence explicitly, neither the capacity of learning and reasoning nor the ability of recognizing important information and making links. Nevertheless it appears clear to me, that this is the basis of his whole concept of creativity. Without this kind of intelligence, the four steps stated above, especially the elaboration of ideas, become impossible. 1.3 Creativity and entrepreneurship Translated from its French roots, entrepreneur means "one who undertakes". What Is Creativity In Creativity Introduction Creativity, in the form of the ability to effectively generate unusual solutions to relevant problems, can be a source of significant competitive advantage, especially in rapidly changing environments. Creativity is important to entrepreneurs because it is the first stage in the process of innovation, providing the stimulus for opportunity discovery and new venture creation. As new entrants, entrepreneurs often justify themselves upon the same dimensions as creativity: novelty, usefulness, and appropriateness. Arguably, one of the first tasks demanded of an entrepreneur is to manifest creative ability through the conceiving of new product–market opportunities and unique value propositions. From these initial acts of creativity, entrepreneurs must build effective organizations that can repeatedly bring ideas to commercially valuable forms in order to survive and grow. Some level of creativity might be expected as a requirement across a wide spectrum of occupations (Shalley and Zhou, 2008). • 13. Creativity As An Act Of Creativity One of the most mysterious traits of human beings, Creativity is difficult to grasp. The common notion is that it belongs few gifted individuals, or the source of exceptional pieces of work. The Dictionary defines it as 'the ability to transcend traditional ideas, rules, patterns, relationships, or the like, and to create meaningful new ideas, forms, methods, interpretations, etc.; originality, progressiveness, or imagination', and the word root is 'creative', which first appeared in 1670s meaning "having the quality of creating". In this essay, I define creativity as the "magical" process through which the abstract comes into manifestation in physical form: anything that produces the new (even if not meaningful as per above definition), including changes or transformation to existing lives, spheres, domains or realms, be them desired or undesired, can be considered an act of creativity. When it comes to psychological creativity, the 'opus' of the individual is "the psyche itself", "the awakening of the soul" (Hillman, 1972, p.21) or, in Psychosynthesis terms, Self–realisation: realising our creative potential (Whitmore, 2000, p.20). Creativity thus has a central place for Psychosynthesis, for it awakes the connection to Self. On the personal level, this connection enables clients to better effect desired changes in their lives; for counsellors, it is essential to enable therapists to use bifocal vision, and regard clients' unmanifest potential. • 15. What Creativity Means to Me: An Opinion Essay Introduction Creativity does not have an assigned or universally accepted definition. Thus the true nature of creativity cannot be confined to a single definition. In this text, I discuss creativity. More specifically, I concern myself with what creativity means to me and to others. What Creativity Means to Me In my opinion, creativity has got to do with the ability to come up with new things or ideas. Over time, we have had individuals design, produce or even manufacture items which were not in existence before. On the other hand, we also have people who have sought to improve or build on the ideas of others so as to come up with an even better concept, design or invention. These two groups of people in my opinion could be regarded as being rather creative. Further, creativity in my view also has got to do with the ability to solve problems or challenges in a unique way. For instance, an individual who solves a recurring problem within a group setting could be regarded creative. Some of the people I consider creative based on their ability to come up with new ideas and/or build upon the ideas of others include but are not limited to Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein, Steve Jobs and Bill Gates. In my opinion, all these individuals at some point engaged their creative minds in the development of an entirely new concept, an idea or product or built upon the ideas of others to come up with even better ideas, concepts or products. • 16. The creative industries has many different characteristics within it which make it diverse from other industries. One of these differentiating characteristics is related to the motivation of the workers. Creatives are said to be intrinsically motivated. Ryan and Deci (2000) define intrinsic motivation as doing something due to the appeal and satisfaction that will be gained. Managers from another point of view are known to be more extrinsically motivated meaning the motivation comes from the external reward which will be gained (Ryan and Deci, 2000). Intrinsic and extrinsic motivation contrast each other and this concept can also be related to creative people and managers within the creative industries. This essay will not only discuss these ideas but also critically evaluate the effects of these ideas of motivation on creativity, creative people and creative work. Creative people are said to be intrinsically motivated. They are driven by the enjoyment they gain from producing their work. A common sterotype which is useful to critically evaluate the generalisation of creative people and intrinsic motivation is the starving artist. Filer (1986) describes the starving artist sterotype as the economic condition of artists. Artists will produce work even though they cannot gain financially in any way from its production. This stereotype is very common among creative people. A famous quote written by Virginia Woolf reading "have five hundred a year each of us and rooms of our Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. Essay on Creativity Creativity The walls of the Louvre are covered with artistic masterpieces, widely recognized as some of the most treasured, creative works known to man. The unique stroke of a brush or the layering of paint can distinguish these geniuses from the masses. Despite the ability to label these pieces of art as especially creative, it remains unclear how one can truly qualify the defining characteristics of creativity. This faculty is commonly viewed as intangible, as `a spark of creativity,' or, `a flash of creativity.' This phenomenon, which lies at the foundation of our artistic culture, eludes our current grasp of understanding. For some, creativity rests within our human nature as an integral part of our being, for others, it may emerge...show more content... And as the mole on my right breast is where it was when I was born, though all my body has been woven of new stuff time after time, so through the ghost of the unquiet father the image of the unliving son looks forth. In the intense instant of imagination, when the mind, Shelley says, is a fading coal that which I was is that which I am and that which in possibility I may come to be. So in the future, the sister of the past, I may see myself as I sit here now but by reflection from that which then I shall be (Joyce 186–7). Joyce's ability to produce creative analogies shines through in this passage; though Stephen's physical characteristic of the mole on his chest remains the same, he declares that his "body has been woven of new stuff time after time." This analogy of the physical characteristics of his body through time is a deep insight into the contrast between the ever–changing individual and the continuity of a human being's identity throughout his lifetime. Not only does he express an insight into human nature, which is far from readily obvious, he creatively uses powerful imagery, such as `the ghost of the unquiet father,' which strikes the reader, painting clear pictures of seemingly intangible subjects. While Joyce masterfully provides examples of these basic characteristics of literature, the more controversial William Faulkner provides an alternate creative style. • 18. Persuasive Essay On Creativity Creativity is the ability to think divergently; this means that the person has the ability to look beyond the traditional use of something. There are ways to measure how well a person can do this: one example could be to give them an ordinary object, a paper clip, along with 60 seconds to come up with all the different purposes of that object. It is also the potential to act freely outside of a set way to do something. This potential includes the capacity to regard the world this way has great importance– it can provide a new and unique outlook on problems like health care, peace in Afghanistan, and how to save the Gulf of Mexico. However, the number of people with this ability is rapidly declining, so a solution is needed now. Since teaching the knowledge along with preparing students for their future careers and lives is the purpose of school, it would be a favorable idea to form a class to help cultivate this ability in students. [A class focusing on creative thinking would give students the opportunity to tap into the abstract thinking part of their brain in addition to learning how to apply it to real–world situations.] Currently, the only way a student has the ability to tap into this nonlinear way of thinking is in an art class, but these classes do not teach them how to apply this skill to real–world problems. Some schools have already tried implementing a similar class, such as an engineering course, but the need for creative thinkers extends well beyond the field Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Creative thinking allows groups and individuals to solve problems or stimulate to think differently in order to bring forth fruitful ideas. The above mentioned creative thinking enabled our team of six different personalities to come together and implement a plan to solve a complex problem in a hospital. Our assigned task was to recommend a plan in order to alleviate hospital readmission among elderly population within thirty days of discharge. In this paper the author is narrating the team dynamics, functionalities and personal competencies in the process of recommending a change in the system. As a member in the innovation leadership team the author is also reflecting on the assessment, capacity for innovation in the organization which is the hospital where the team is assigned. Organizations Organizations are dynamic living systems and change is an inherent capacity of living systems. So organizations need people who can perceive, understand and work effectively in order to make positive changes (Dawson & Andriopoulos, 2014). Our team assessed the organization which was the hospital where the readmissions of elderly population have increased. The assessment revealed the possible causative factors behind the readmission of elderly before thirty days of discharge. Patients may not recollect all the discharge Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 20. On the Nature of Creativity On The Nature of Creativity All things created in over the many years is categorised as something that's useful, valuable, clarity, innovative, novel or...creative. The two philosophers Larry Briskman and Carl Huasman have written up an essay on their belief of what creativity is, there understanding and notion of creativity both include a criteria to match for a product to be creative. If creativity is based on criteria then we can agree that criteria are based on a set of rules to abide with, and then if that's the case creativity is defined in an objective perspective. Creativity has many views in this case the philosophers have explained in in a non–psychological way. Creativity is more based on a subjective and psychological view which will be explained in detail later on in the essay. If creativity were to be assessed by criteria then creativity simply can't be called "creative". In other words this means if something is to be creative but has to be evaluated by someone to be classified creative then how can we call this product a creative product. As mentioned by David Jones "any group of experts who claim to be able to objectively identify the aesthetic value of a work must be mistaken. They can do no more than mutually reinforce their own personal taste and preferences".(1) I see creativity as a personal belief of what you see as an audience, you can't determine a product to be creative If it's not valuable or if it needs to be evaluated(2).
