systems with 64 SAUs, 3 CAUs and 4 deemed
Universities
These institutions enroll on annual basis about
15,000 students at UG level, 7000 and 1700 at
doctoral level
There are over 75,000 students studying in SAUs.
Apart from this, there are large number of
private colleges; both affiliated & non – affiliated
to SAUs which constitute to a large number of
Agri-graduates being followed up every year.

13. New MP Agri scheme to support entrepreneurial pursuits of
farmers' children
Children who are above 18 and have cleared Class X examination will be
eligible for the scheme
• The Madhya Pradesh (MP) government came out
with a scheme to help farmers in setting up
processing plants for agriculture including
onion, tomato and soybean.
• The children and dependents of farmers will get
loans up to Rs 25 lakh to set up the servicing
centres for making paste and puree, besides fruits
and vegetable dehydration plants and modern
jaggery plants, the Indian Express reported.
