- He died on August 26th 1278 in Suché Kruty

- It was an age full of wars, plagues and crusades
- People were very relligious and church had a great power
- Most popular architecture was Gothic in our lands
- People were divided to three social layers:
Priests, noblemen and working people

- He produced many paintings, illustrations,
advertisements, postcards, and designs
- He became famous because of his first poster Gismonda
he created in Paris
- He worked on the Slav Epic (his biggest piece) for 20
years
- His son Jiri Mucha was a writer
6. - Strange is, that he signed only one painting, where you
can see the death of Jan Amos Komensky in the
Netherlands

the wedding of his niece
Kunhuta of Brandenburg
with a Hungarian prince
Belo,
to which Premysl Otakar II.
invited all surrounding Slavic
rulers.
Important was namely the
creation of a large Slavic
coalition that would ensure
peace for all Slavs.
Characters are displayed in the royal tent in front of the wedding
chapel. This is a personal Premysl chapel,
as can be seen on the wall of his coat of arms –
an eagle with outstretched wings.
Premysl itself is in the middle of the image, welcomes two new guests.
Orther sovereigns are standing around the king.
